My…read morehusband gave them a lot of business buying work shoes for himself for years and paying his workers to buy work shoes every year during their sale. My husband brought me there on the last day of their annual sale one time and persuaded me to buy a pair. I carefully selected a black leather easy walk shoes which I intended to use for both work and walk with my husband. I tried a pair in 7.5. My toes were touching the front and I tried hard to pull my toes back a bit. A sales lady told me that was the only size they had and was impatient trying to push me to complete a sale. My own pair of shoes that day was in size 8 and was comfortable. I was hesitant with this 7.5 SAS. She kept saying my own shoes were too big for me and that the easy walk in 7.5 fitted me well. At the end, I lost the battle and was coned into buying it. Every time I wear the shoes, I hate myself. The shoes were not cheap over $220 plus tax if I remember correctly. The leather is good quality and the shoes are comfortable inside. But I struggle to find more room in front of my toes. I wear the thinnest socks I can find every time. I wear it in occasions when I don't have to walk a lot for example sitting in the office because I expect my feet will expand after walking so the shoes will be even tighter. One day I wore it to walk with my husband as I don't have walking shoes. I had blisters all over my toes as I walked and both feet were sore for days. Now it can only sit on my shoe rack while I paid over $220 without a pair of shoes that I can use. This pair of SAS is my first and also last. I would not recommend this shoe store. For over $200, you can buy many trendy good looking comfortable shoes from good service sales people without trying to push you to meet their target.

Overall Impression Talize delivers a strong thrifting…read moreexperience built around clean organization, steady restocks, and better‑than‑average quality control. It's one of the more curated thrift chains, so the store feels less chaotic than some competitors while still offering the thrill of unexpected finds. What Talize Does Well - Organization and layout -- Sections are clearly labeled, racks are tidy, and the store is easy to sweep in a single loop. This makes it ideal for fast hunts or full‑store circuits. - Quality of items -- Clothing and home goods tend to be in better condition than typical thrift stores, with fewer damaged or unusable items on the shelves. - Electronics section -- Often smaller than Value Village, but the items that do appear are usually cleaner and tested more consistently. - Pricing consistency -- Prices are more predictable, especially for clothing and household items, which helps budget‑minded shoppers. - Frequent promotions -- Talize often runs color‑tag sales and seasonal discounts that make the hunt even more rewarding. Things to Keep in Mind - Electronics stock varies -- Some days the shelves are full; other days it's almost empty. Great for quick sweeps, but not always for deep hunts. - Higher baseline prices -- Certain categories (like jackets or décor) can be priced higher than expected, depending on brand and condition. - Less "wild chaos" -- If you enjoy the unpredictable madness of Value Village spawns, Talize can feel more curated and less chaotic. Who Talize Is Best For - Shoppers who want clean, organized thrifting without digging through piles. - People looking for quality clothing at reasonable prices. - Hunters who enjoy consistent restocks and predictable pricing. - Anyone doing a multi‑store circuit and wants a reliable mid‑stop between Value Village and Goodwill. Quick, Review‑Ready Summary Talize is a clean, well‑organized thrift store with reliable quality and steady restocks. Prices are consistent, the clothing selection is strong, and the store is easy to sweep quickly. Electronics can be hit‑or‑miss, but when they appear, they're usually in good condition. A great stop for curated thrifting and a solid anchor in any Surrey thrift‑store circuit.

I was there today, August 6 at about 4:30pm, and if the woman working there today at that time sees this (and I hope she does) I have one thing to say: You.Suck. I walked in to the store, I was kind of impressed with the dresses I saw right off the bat. There were some shoes that looked ok. The thing they didnt have? MANNERS. No hello, no how's it going, no nothing. How can you stand at your counter, an entire 10 feet away from the ONLY customer in your store, and not say ONE WORD?! This place is tiny, so youre right beside the customers, there is no way you didnt see me. Think I got a "bye, see ya later, come back soon" when I left? nope. nothing. not even a glance in my direction the entire time. However, after trying to open the door three times at 1pm while looking at the sign above reading OPEN 10am-5pm, I began to feel confused and worried. Then after another 5 minutes of standing outside, the door was finally unlocked. Not opened, but unlocked. The woman behind the counter unlocked the door, and instead of opening the door for my mom and I, simply walked back to her counter. I read about the rude service on here prior to going but thought I would see it for myself as I was hoping to consign somewhere locally. Well, let me tell you, just by the lack of courtesy and a simple hello (We had to say hi to receive a look up from the counter and an unpleasant hello), I would never consign here. As for the store, it is really hard to want to stay in a store after feeling as though you are unwelcome, but still we continued to look. It is fairly clean but very small and crowded. I understand the want to sell as much as possible, but there's not much room to shop. As for the merchandise, I found that there was a focus on selling shoes and purses as they line almost every wall. Everything seems to be gently used and most of the shoes I picked up were about $30. Would I recommend anyone ever shop here? NO. I can deal with a small space, but the attitude I cannot stand. Some may say, oh I don't like them in my face, but having that woman just sit quietly behind the counter while we shopped was just plain rude. BUT! What was worse, was when an acquaintance of hers came into the store and the blabbing began. Not only was it an insult as she was bothered by unlocking the door for us, but in a small store noise fills a room. For us, it was very uncomfortable to try to shop around the conversation and even try to leave as we felt as though we were walking through their conversation. So, in the end, if you plan to consign or shop here, let's hope you know these people; and if you do, maybe teach them a thing or two about customer service! You need customers and consignees in order to run your business!

Generally impressed with my experience at kintec because the you can tell the staff have either worn many of the shoes themselves or know what they are talking about. Despite trying on a pair of shoes that were on sale and one that was not, I didn't feel pressured to go for the more expensive one as some stores do. I had learned that they don't get commissions for sales so maybe that's why. The store was spacious, clean abd organized.
