Quite a spacious store with many branded items. Look around and maybe there are some decent deals. The security measures on some higher end brands are hilarious to me - hangers that are basically locked. It's sad that shoplifting has forced stores to take such steps. read more

Sporting Life feels like a guzzied up Atmosphere / Sport Chek . There I said it . Nonetheless you'll be impressed by the tall ceilings and the sense of airiness and openess they provide . Patagucci is there front and center if you're into them . SL does have a decent selection of tennis rackets - for a non-specialty store that is . I dig they still carry the Head Instinct line , which by all accounts is way past its prime but imho remains an excellent choice for the price-conscious . Running shoe choices are less than stellar but still respectable . Wasn't offered any assistance while browsing my fave Sauconys . No biggie : ) read more

This place still has some good deals if you check on line. It's kinda weird because I would see something on their website that would be on sale and when I went to the store the price of the item would be full price. I had to ask one of the employees to scan the item and sure enough it would be on sale....weird. No sale sign, nothing, everything tagged regular price. As far as service goes, doesn't really exist. The last two times I was there I was looking for shoes and both times I couldn't even find anyone to help me............so I just left.... read more

The store itself is beautiful - very spacious and clean. The staff is nice but can sometimes be sparse (because the store is so large lol). I think 3 stars is satisfactory - it's not anything I'd particularly run to out of my way to shop, however if you're an outdoors aficionado or brand seeker then this is your store! They are on the higher end and carry a relatively large selection of items. A big plus if you can score their clearance or sale items but for the normal passerby - it may cause quite a dent for a regular priced item. It is a bit of a shame that it isn't connected to the actual mall and is it's own tenant but that's not really their fault (just a comment haha). read more

Huge selection of sporting goods. Prices are on the average to high side. They have designer brands like Canada Goose and Moncler so you do not have to make your way to downtown to buy these luxury brands. Store was well stocked, bright and tidy. read more

Extremely rude customer service from manager Jeff and Lee. Bought two pairs of white ski pants online and when I went to return them because they were a poor fit and sent out with dirty marks on them, I was repeatedly questioned rudely as to whether I had worn them, which I had not. I love the store in Toronto and have spent many dollars there. I will not be shopping here. read more

They failed to reimburse me (or arrange exchange) after sending me the the completely wrong shoes, They were untimely in their response to do so and insinuated that I may be lying about receiving the wrong shoes. I wont shop here and would certainly recommend against ordering from their online store. read more

The first Sporting Life in BC and the first retailer to open at the new Amazing Brentwood! It's a huge shop, 40,000 square feet of "sports" stuff. I have sports in quotations because they sell much more. They've been around Toronto for a while but it's our first opportunity here to see it here in BC. I wasn't sure what to expect. Was it going to be similar to Sport Chek? Apparently not. Sporting Life I feel is selling a lifestyle as they sell various clothing brands that you typically wouldn't find in a Sport Chek or Atmosphere. For example, what jumped out at me was stuff like Levi's, Mackage, Hugo Boss, Canada Goose and more. They've got shoes, skis, snowboards, etc etc. I'd describe it as kind of a trendy casual athletic store with something for everyone. Price-wise they seem comparable for this kind of stuff but time will tell. On top of that, they're the first major anchor to open at the Amazing Brentwood so the store is brand new and all their displays are quite nice obviously. I'll give it 5 stars for now. read more

Ordered a jacket on their website, received the wrong color one. And on that very same day I received the jacket I found out my size is sold out online. So not sure if I can get the correct one anymore, I called in the store to ask on the weekend because their headquarters are not open on the weekend. Like what kind of company doesn't have customer service on the weekends nowadays?! Called the store and there's not much they can do cuz it was an online order and told me to call the headquarter on the next business day. Called headquarters on the next business day, told me they had no more of it and my only options are to return it for full refund and they'll waive the restocking fee. Well, this is not good at all. Because of their mistake, I end up just returning the jacket?? They told me I can try emailing customer service to see if they will restock anytime soon. Ok fine. On their website, it says they reply to your email inquiries within 48 HOURS, well, I sent the email last Tuesday, got their reply TODAY. It took 4 business days. Not so 48 hours like they claim. And just for them to tell me it's not available anymore so I have to return it. When I search on their website, I no longer see the jacket that I ordered, but instead, the picture is replaced by the jacket I had received. So I'm pretty sure their website made a mistake and used the wrong picture and that is the jacket I received. Now they wanna cover it up by telling me the one I ordered is no longer available instead of the truth that they used the wrong picture when posting up the product. Don't waste your time and money here. The clerks are slow, management isn't customer responsive. Order online from the gear supplier or go to brand storefronts. This store will sink in one year or less. Went in to pick out a pair of sunglasses with a coupon I got from purchasing some winter gear when I first moved into the brentwood. Coupon was earned for making a 400$ purchase. I asked two clerks if I could use the coupon on glasses during it's usage period and got a yes. Went in today and found some glasses that I liked. The clerk was helpful but took almost 20 mins to find the box and send me to the register. When I got there, the coupon did not work for a pair of glasses close to 300$ after tax. When the clerk brought in the manager they reinterpreted the fine print to exclude sunglasses that were not arriving until after the coupon period expired. Instead of offering a partial discount on the pair, last season's stock by his own admission, he blamed the brand. I would have purchased even with a partial credit as an apology for the clerk misleading me at point of sale at my last purchase. What a waste of time. Was looking forward to using this store for all the annual weather gear (rain and snow for work) and skiing gak. Did not anticipate "customer-last" service from this brand. read more

Terrible online service. I ordered a ski jacket for my wife. The jacket was scheduled for delivery before Christmas. A week after my order was confirmed and credit card debited Sporting Life informed me that my order was cancelled. I had to chase them to process the refund. Because of their delay, I had to order the jacket elsewhere and pay for a heft expedited delivery charge. I complained to them but I still haven't heard back from them. read more
