The same 6 litre backpack retails at Mountain Warehouse for $19.99 and can be purchased for $9.99 TODAY. Adidas gym bag is a discontinued yoga tote, and dirty enough that it needs expert level deep cleaning to restore to new-ish condition. New packs on the Adidas website can replace this bag with something similar - and I mean cute with multiple pockets and compartments - not just the no frills duffel bags - for $30.00 - $50.00. Talize is probably my favourite Thrift Store. The staff is always excellent. Helpful & cheery. They have a wide variety of products. Clothing is organized by type, size and color. Lots of variety and current styles. Very clean. Store is big, bright and not cluttered. The book section could be a bit bigger. If you buy 4 books, the 5th one is free. Just make sure you mention this when you check out as sometimes they forget to give you the free book. They have really good value for the money. Bagged goods like toys & housewares are super big for the most part. They also have a loyalty card. You accumulate points with each visit, and you can use the points at any time. There is no minimum. All items are priced with a coloured tag. Watch the front board or listen for the announcements where they tell you the managers special of the day. It will be 50% off of one of the coloured tags. ( on occasion they will have 2 different coloured tags on sale that day ) If you are lucky, they may also have a flash sale where another coloured tag is added for another 50% off for a limited time that day. This usually will only be for an hour or two. They also give you a 5$ off coupon ( when you spend 25$) when you bring in a bag of donations. I try to do this whenever I go there, to help the charity as well as to keep clutter out of my home. Or perhaps to offset the purchases I'll be bringing home ! They sell big reusable tote bags at the check outs for one dollar. They no longer provide any plastic bags. So bring your own if you don't want to buy one. read more

I think their clothes are their best value when I was looking at pricing. I found some of the pots and pans to be fair or poor used condition for the price. Terrible service- the 7 day return policy is tricky in the sick season and I went into return some clothes 3 days late due to being sick the previous 6 days and the Manager was a complete jerk. I prefer Talize over most other thrift stores. The prices are decent; I recently bought a onesie for $8 that had a hole beneath the zipper but was in otherwise great condition. I can darn the hole at home, which means I basically bought a thick winter pajama onesie for a quarter of the price anywhere else. I also bought a few plastic bags FULL of cards and postcards, whereas Value Village was selling plastic bags with (I'd guess) about ten cards per for $2 each. I am absolutely addicted to this store. I try to go every day because every day they stock the shelves with new stuff. And because I go everyday I have found some amazing gems!!! I have found watches for on average $20. Later to find out they are worth $250-$400. I know have a nice collection of high end watch's that just needed batteries. As well I'll The clothing selection is amazing. I am very particular about what I wear and I always find my favorite brands for killer deals. Talize is very similar to Value Village, meaning it is a thrift store stocked with clothes, jewelery and miscellaneous household items. How it differs from VV is that it seems to be managed better. The clothes and items are all organized by type, size, colour or whatever is most useful. I didn't see any piles of product on the floor, everything was clean and the employees seemed cheerful and helpful. The prices are the same as Value Village or even a bit cheaper. I got 5 pairs of pants (3 jeans and 2 dress pants), 4 shirts and a pair of earrings for under $70. Talize is a bit of a drive for me but I definitely come here when I wish to visit a thrift store. The best thrift store I've ever come across. There's a huge selection in clothes AND it's in colour-schemed order - which is how I order my clothes, can I get a BOOO-YA? Boo-ya. I went on a day where it was a 50% off colour-coded tag which was great because they've actually tagged a lot of clothes as 50% off. But I'm not saying that the original prices are steep because they're definitely NOT. I cannot sing enough praises about this place - cheap items, friendly staff, great selection and SO organized. I don't live in the area, so I decided to visit when I was near because I accidentally discovered it online. And I can certainly say that I'm glad I came by! It is a bit smaller than my local Value Village, but I think the organization and cleanliness make it seem even bigger! There is a large variety of items, especially clothing! But it is considerably smaller in Jewelry and knicknacks. I had a good time looking around and due to the lack of time, only bought two things: a nice vintage-patterned maxi skirt and a 100% floppy wool hat for $12. Happy shopper I am! I love coming here and visit 2-4 times a month, depending on my cash flow for the week. The have a new colored tag on sale each week at 50% off plus they will have daily specials at 50% as well. The organization is great and I always find something to get from a new pair of pants, to a scarf to the puzzles I have taken to collecting. They lose 1 star because the floor always seems filthy. In the changing room it is completely off putting to be sharing the stall with several dust bunnies. read more

I live in the area of Talize and it is by far one of my favourite thrift stores in all of Vancouver. I'm a big t shirt fan and unlike most places, everything is in order of colour, so if you are looking for a black t shirt, it's in one area. It's larger than most thrift stores and about the same price of Value Village. If you are a student you can get a 10% card which I found very lovely. read more

Organization is good but the price on the tag may not be the price you pay because they arbitrarily change prices on you at the register. Would not come here again, I prefer Value Village which sucks slightly less. read more

I have shopped at talize for about 4 yrs now, i am there almost weekly. They always have what i'm looking for.i ahd bought jeans, and when I got home the ones for my husband were not in the greatest shape, nor did they fit. I had only $5.99 but thought I should take them back. THEY REFUSED TO DO MY RETURN BECAUSE THE TAG ON ONE PAIR OF JEANS WAS IN THE WRONG SPOT! I had my receipt, I have no idea where they put there tags or what markings they put on them............I fricken payed for them from their store and I they didn't work, i should be able to get my credit! Not only would she not return those but she wouldn't let me return the kids pair even though they had the tags ' in the right place' and had their 'mark' on them, she said she couldn't verify them! WHAT! i JUST BOUGHT THEM, I HAVE THE RECEIPT, THE TAGS ARE STILL ATTACHED AND THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME MY CREDIT! I was really upset, she made me feel like I had tried to screw them around, I was so embarrssed, I have never been made to feel like that! Ever! And over a pair of half price, $6 jeans! I was today with my mother which is having holidays with me, she was looking for some clothes to buy, and suddely I was approached by an employee telling me that she saw my mother stealing ,asking me to tell her that there were cameras and they saw her putting clothes in her purse . I asked my mother to open her purse in front of the lady and then it was more than clear that she had nothing .. not sure why this lady did it, but we didn't even received and apology from her . Good consignment store, absolutely huge, lay out great. Largest consignment in the lower mainland. I have found some great things here, keep your eye on labels, some good ones turn up. You need time to spend here, 15 minutes in and out won't cut it here. Lots of accessories too - purses, belts, scarves, shoes. OK jewelry. Lots of paperback books at good prices. The best thrift store EVER!!! I went in when we had the unusual, crazy snowstorms as I needed a parka and heavy winter boots. Three hours later, $300, 1 1/2 cartloads full (including aforementioned 2 winter wardrobe requirements) and 8 pairs of DESIGNER SHOES hardly worn... I feel warm all over! Although the store looks amazing I can't say I was able to shop there due to the very overwhelming chemical spray mist emanating throughout the store. Completely headache inducing. I can't be the only one to notice this? Went to Talize Delta for a Mother-Daugher date. We had lots of fun, and my daughter got 10% off her tops because she is a university student! I had only been to this store one other time, when there was a tag sale and found a great pair of jeans!!!
