Absolutely LOVE this place! I came in yesterday and got the original chicken salad on an everything bagel, and it was SO good that I came back today! Chef Don has a special recipe for his spicy chicken salad, and he convinced me to give it a try. I'm so glad I did because it was absolutely delicious! The everything bagel + spicy chicken salad is seriously a winning combination. Everything is made in-house, and you can taste the difference. I also grabbed a bag of their bagel chips and a sampler of cream cheeses -- chive, pimento cheese, hot honey, and vegetable. Every single one was delicious! The owner was there and was incredibly friendly, and the woman who rang me up was just as welcoming. She even gave me a local's punch card because we just bought a house here, which I absolutely LOVE! We're so happy to have found this place and already know we'll be regulars. I typically read the reviews but didn't this time. I saw the place online, drove 14 miles from SRB, and thought "no way they could disappoint ". As a local and I want to support local businesses when their quality matches (or exceeds) my expectations - no charities! When you walk in, you truly get the sense that you are visiting an authentic bagel place. Big fluffy bagels on the wall. Plenty of smear options. Friendly, attentive staff. Good number of customers inside. I purchased two of the same sandwich for a total of $30 - everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. They both looked identical to the photos I posted (this one was mine). Here's my review... The bagels were hard as if they were "day old" (we purchased at 10am). The eggs appear to be premade. The portion of bacon and cheese was strikingly minimal. A sandwich that cost this much should have the contents flowing out of the bagel as in their examples when you walk in (my opinion). I treasure the money I earn and nothing upsets me more than paying too much for something this bad. I've never paid this much for a similar style bagel at an airport - and it's always better than this. I literally finished the bagel and said to my wife afterward... "that was the most difficult bagel sandwich I've ever eaten". I don't waste food. I don't share these details to be mean or malicious to the owners of this establishment. They just need to do better. As a consumer, I have to make the choices that are best for me and my family. And, when I had a more fulfilling Jersey Mikes sandwich yesterday for $10, it makes it easy to never come back. The dough may come from NY, but the texture is off. Bagels should have a thick skin, be heavy and dense yet moist. These were light, airy, and lacked flavor or substance. Judging by the bottoms, they weren't cooked correctly. I toasted one for my husband, and he asked if I bought it at Walmart--that's how they tasted. I'm so disappointed because we've always wanted a great bagel shop in town, but this isn't it. Do not go here! These are the WORST bagels on the planet! It was so stale I couldn't even eat it! It barely had any cream cheese on it. Now let's talk about the argumentative employee at the register. I don't get my bagels toasted. I don't want my cream cheese melting and running out every where. When I was asked if I wanted it toasted I said no. So it took forever to get my order and when she handed it to me it was warm. I asked if it was toasted and she said yes, I said I didn't want it toasted and she said, "yes you did, I repeated your order to you." I was like I don't know where I was but I did not want my bagel toasted. Then she said, "are you asking me to remake it???" And I said, "yes, yes I am." I can't fathom why two bagels that taste like it was made last week along with premade eggs and sausage would possibly cost $40. We've been waiting for a bagel place in town for years and Everything Bagels delivered! The interior is very cute and modern and the bagel selection is great (Asiago, Rye, Cinnamon Raisin, Blueberry, Rainbow, Sesame, Onion, Everything, Jalapeño Cheddar, and I'm sure a couple I'm forgetting)! My specialty bagel is a BLT, minus the mayo, plus veggie cream cheese on Asiago and it was tasty and satisfied my bagel craving! My husband got the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on Jalapeño and we both really enjoyed the bagel and its flavor. We'll certainly be back to try the rest of the menu and to pick up some bagel packs the next time we have company in town! But this place aggravated me enough, prompting me to save others from spending their money here. I'm hoping this review (which I noticed is one of many other similar reviews) will either bring to light major adjustments or allow an opportunity for a better business to take over. This place is SEVERELY overpriced. The bagels--which is the name of the game--is lacking in quality. What I had just wasn't good...I've had better at Walmart. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. It did not taste like it was made to order, and it was very skimpy. I wanted to try some of the assorted cream cheese flavors, so I ordered two to try on the side as a dip. These small plastic ramekins were $3 each. I ending up paying $25 in total for a BREAKFAST sandwich, which wasn't even good. Additionally, the lady taking my order didn't seem very inviting or helpful. I mentioned it was my first time there, and she didn't take initiative to suggest a menu item or tell me more about the place. She never smiled and wasn't very outgoing. She wasn't rude by any means, but I expected more in this area...customer service goes a loonnggg way, especially when the food is subpar. The bagels were cooked perfectly (chewy on the inside and toasted on the outside)! They seemed pretty high for bagel sandwiches so I assumed they were going to be amazing. We ordered two avocado toasts, one on Asiago and one on an everything bagel. My husband and I bought a house in Destin last November and we are originally from the North East and were excited to try a bagel place in Florida that could possibly compare to NJ/NY bagels. We had friends visiting and usually pick up bagels and we were very disappointed and well as our guests. The bagels were stale and not fresh tasting at all. For the price we were very disappointed.
