Joel's initial walkthrough appointment made me feel much more confident that the quoted price was realistic, rather than estimates based on a few details over email/Yelp request. As a full-time working mom, having help maintaining a clean home is such a relief. While admitting needing that help feels a bit awkward and stressful, they put me at ease and made the experience feel comfortable and judgment-free. Joel was really easy to communicate with, the price is competitive, and I liked that I could pay by Zelle. We're now booked for every other week cleanings, so I'll share how things go over time.

The reason I am taking 2 stars off is because I had scheduled a 1PM cleaning appointment and Ricardo confirmed everything was good to go. I had to reach out to him when no one had showed up, turns out no one came and another cleaner had to be scheduled but only came 2 hours later. It was a bit frustrating because had I not called Ricardo, I'm not sure someone would have shown up. No heads up was given on time of arrival before the appointment either. I understand mixups and scheduling issues but no apologies or discount were given, nor was there a clear explanation as to why no one showed up at the original time. We were in a time crunch as we were coordinating with movers and cleaners at the same time and every hour was crucial. The actual cleaning service was good but the customer service/communication was very disappointing and left a bad taste in our mouth. Moving out is quite stressful and and every hour counts.

Strangely, they had to do last minute cancellations (i.e. the morning of and the day before, for another one), which was a bit annoying, honestly. The price that Rio and I agreed on was not the amount requested afterwards, which was a bit confusing and frustrating (my husband ended up paying/being asked the amount, and I was the one who had set the amount with Rio). Lais and the other person who came did a good job the first time around for a deep cleaning. A couple of things missed in the family room, but overall, decent job. The second time she came, it was honestly "meh." Missed a couple more things and it just didn't really feel worth it, to be honest. Then we had Sarah come and clean and she did a phenomenal job the first time for the deep cleaning. The second time, not so much, unfortunately. Pretty inconsistent, to summarize. They also speak Portuguese; we know spanish, but apparently it's not enough to really communicate, which can be an issue. Then, the night that my husband and I decided that perhaps we should try a different cleaning company, I received a message from Rio saying that their company is closing for the unforeseeable future. So.... TLDR: pros: decent price and it gets the job done. cons: inconsistent with scheduling and with quality of work and messaging. and pricing. lots of inconsistencies....

Sam was gracious but he needs training to clean a house properly.  He did not make the bed until he was ask. He said that some people do not like but he didn't ask. He approached me to check everything was ready to go but he had not cleaned nor vacuumed anywhere. He had also not touched the kitchen until we went and showed him that he needed to do so. We showed him the list but he insisted he had cleaned the floors. He didn't have a mop so I'm not sure how he would've cleaned it so we gave him ours. We also let him use our vacuum because he had a very small vacuum. He continued jamming it and it would've taken him much longer to clean. Every time we came out of my office to speak with him about the areas he had not cleaned he responded he had already done so.  Not true. Unfortunately he spent about 45 minutes in a very small bathroom that only had a dirty toilet. He was on the phone when we knocked to speak with him. Probably the biggest surprise is that he was using a sharp blade to clean the bathroom sinks.  That can easily scratch the ceramic tile. Also, even though the house was clean (in certain areas), it did not have the smell of a clean house. He did not do a thorough dusting - there was still dust in many areas. We have to vacuum our bedroom the next day because it still felt like there was hair on the carpet. Then when we contacted Rio two days later about following up. We got a response two days later stating, "I am sorry for the issue, my apologies. due to staff shortage, we won't be able to serve you further and continue cleaning your house. Thank you for the opportunity." We understand there is a staffing shortage, but they could have responded with that in the first place before we hired them and not make promises that they could not deliver.

I submitted a cold inquiry asking for a quote and she returned my message immediately. It was an instantly positive first impression because I had sent inquiries to four cleaning businesses and she was the first to email me back. In every correspondence we've had, I feel like she cares about and prioritizes my needs. I asked for a quote for the apartment I was sharing with several other roommates. I wanted the common rooms cleaned, and preferably within a specific budget. It was awesome that she didn't need to send someone over to evaluate in-person. My roommates and I all had busy schedules and didn't want to draw straws to have someone work from home for a day just to let in a cleaner for a quote. I took five photos and sent them to her, and received a quick confirmation for a cleaning. It was so easy. The cleaner herself was fantastic, she scrubbed down everything and left the apartment spick and span. I was impressed with the bathroom especially - I don't think I had ever seen that bathtub so white. Since moving out, I now use Natural Maidens for a weekly cleaning in my own apartment and they always do a superb job. I like that she always replaces every trash-can liner with the right size, and tightens them around the can so it's not loose and gets pulled off by a heavy disposable. She always wipes down handles and mirrors, and takes out the trash in my apartment bldg (a bit of a walk) so I don't have to. The fact that they use all natural cleaning products is awesome piece of mind for me, especially because I have skin sensitivities and my partner has allergies. I also like to cook a lot and have a small studio kitchen with a shared meal prep and dining table area. I like that I'm never going to place produce, for instance, on a surface that's got residue from harsh chemicals that shouldn't be ingested. After a long day at work, coming home to a clean apartment is a wonderful feeling that money can't buy. It lets you exhale a sigh of relief that feels better than any 5-star hotel room. Thank you Angela and Natural Maidens for improving my quality of life.

I have been using Natural Maidens for several years and today have decided to no longer use their…read moreservices due to their lack of professionalism from their management and cleaners. We have had numerous issues with them and in this most recent cleaning, the cleaner did not show up with a vacuum cleaner or a Bona, which I was confused by. Then I noticed that the cleaner was on a phone call while cleaning with one hand for at least 5 minutes. I brought this up to their management, and this was their response: "Likewise, I have not appreciated your tone for a long time and 100% agree that you should find services that can meet your demands at a low cost, with no insurance or background checks. Just because we are a maid service does not mean that we are your doormat. You specifically negotiated this price down and give us grief about arrival times and not a 5 min professional call to the office. If you think your behavior is anymore appropriate then best of luck to you." If this is how they plan to talk to their customers then I am happy to find cleaners elsewhere.
