Almost 2 weeks of texts and emails with the business to try and resolve these issues has been an exhausting runaround that has resulted in zero resolution. I decided to check them with the Better Business Bureau and found they have a C+ rating. I've had many house cleanings in 30 years- some good, some average. I never ever thought to write a review since everyone's trying, but given my recent experience and how much they charge I hope others can avoid the hassle and cost- not to mention broken items. They give a 3 hour window of when they'll arrive- that's a lot of time to wait around, but ok. We have a newborn in the family so I just said please don't be later than that (so we'd have him out during the noisy parts). The texted AFTER they were late to say they'd be an hour late. OK. I said, please no later. Only after I called (after an hour passed) was I told they'd be an ADDITIONAL 30 mins late. OK, fine. I shrugged it off. I did the cleaning as a gift to my sister who just had a baby. It was the OPPOSITE of a gift. After they left my sister sadly showed me the baby mobile that all of her friends had handmade for her as a gift for her baby shower. It was broken in half and the cleaners had just left it there. They said nothing to me before they left. I had to text the business who didn't apologize or offer a refund but said they'd file an "insurance claim". For a handmade irreplaceable baby mobile?? On top of all this, the cleaning wasn't very good. Instead of things left sparkling, it looked mostly the same. For example, I looked at the shower where there had been some black residue along the shower wall (we were obvs hoping they'd clean) it was still there- not touched at all. 2 weeks and a dozen messages with the business later- including photos of the non-cleaned shower and broken mobile- no resolution. They have said they will look into "why" these things were not cleaned and why they were broken. It's not helpful to know why I paid almost $200 for lateness that inconvenienced the family, a not clean apartment, and a broken treasured object. UPDATE: Per the response below, you can see this is not a detailed oriented business. I never mention the kitchen issue in my review. Yes- my sister did ask for that and there was a communication breakdown that wasn't ideal, but I decided to not even mention it in this review because the other issues were bigger. The black residue is not mold- I actually had it checked (given the baby). It could have come off with a cleaning. Even if that were the case (which it's not)- wouldn't it make sense to inform me of mold that you are not going to clean?? Finally, as to the broken item that was left behind (never mentioned to us): I wrote to you a few times- issuing an insurance claim for a treasured handmade item doesn't make sense. It's technical worth might be a few dollars but it was invaluable to us and now it is broken. The very very least I would expect of a professional business is a refund or reduction. But no. As you see from their response, this business can't provide that. So, as evidenced by the response below: if you hire them and they are late, break your things, and do a sub-optimal job, they will not resolve the issue or try to make you whole for your loss. read more

A month and a half later they are texting me asking if I still want service. I haven't answered. Tonight they texted me at 1am. I give 5 stars for the great experience with Not your average cleaners. Firstly, I am thankful for Not your average cleaners for booking an appointment so fast. I went for regular cleaning and I needed it within 24 hours and their response was so quick and the booking was easy. Their two person team came in within the mentioned time frame and did a pretty good job cleaning my 2 bed 2 bath condo. The master bathroom required some scrubbing and an additional charge but I'm not unhappy - they did a really good job. The vacuuming was very good too, however the mopping made the hardwood floors a bit sticky and it looks dull maybe they used too much of their product. It's not a huge issue - maybe my hardwood floor requires a different product to be used. They also took out the trash after they were done and overall I am satisfied. read more

The manager at Oakland Senior Station gave me their number and said they'd like a review of this company. I called and spoke with Ami who was very friendly and accommodating. He gave me a next day appt between 11-1. Around 11, I got a call from Ami saying the cleaner is downstairs. I met Wendy and told her this is a move out cleaning job. She was very friendly and thorough with her cleaning. She was highly skilled and made the place sparkling like new including the refrigerator, oven, sink, bathroom tub and bowl. The place was definitely clean from the windows to the doors as well as the ceiling fans. I would highly recommend this place! I paid $420 for a deep clean and they left the basics of cleaning undone. I have lots of photos of crumbs on the counter, dust and dirt still left behind. I cleaned up after the cleaners for 2 hours. I called and sent photos and was told we could get a $40 refund that never happened. This wasn't a basic clean this was a $420 deep clean and the basics weren't done (wiping a counter top ) the photos speak for themselves. The house was dirtier when they left. I wiped the kitchen countertop afterwards and it was black. They even left a dirty rag on the counter. Spent only a minute or two in a few of the rooms and missed one room altogether. I spent several hours after they left re-cleaning the place--vacuuming and wiping down surfaces. This company charged me me double what they quoted me same-day for move-out cleaning. I was moving out of my home and scheduled this company for a moveout clean. I had asked if I needed to do anything ahead of time and they said that it was full-service, based on the job not timing. While getting the initial quote, ($310) I asked if we would need to do any cleaning after removing all of our possessions and they said no- that they would clean inside the oven and clean the walls etc. I would have been more than willing to, but they said "no need", and that the cost would be all the same if we cleaned beforehand or not. However, they contacted me that very morning they were scheduled for to say that they would be charging more than double the price ($630!!) because they knew I was moving out of the area. The house was clean and empty prior to them arriving- I have photos and videos to prove it. There were several incoherent and confusing texts about the scope of the job beforehand. They also did a terrible job and left the walls and almost everything else dirty. I had to return to finish cleaning and it took 3+ hours. I think this may be a scam they run on people who have scheduled move-out cleanings once they've left the area and have no other options. Do not recommend- watch out for this company. read more

I received services that included 2 bathrooms and a living room/ dining room combo. The young lady showed up on time during the time frame that was discussed. I wish a little more was done to the living/ dining room, but the bathroom were immaculate even cleaner than when I first moved in. Will be calling them again soon. read more

I had a deep cleaning service done and was quite disappointed. I'm unsure why they called it a deep cleaning service, because nothing was really thoroughly done. Nothing was disinfected or deep cleaned at all. It just more so seemed like they made things look clean. They brought a vacuum cleaner that my roommate and I had realized was never turned on. No mop bucket was brought which we thought was suspicious. They sprayed some sort of yellow solution onto my floors and spread it around with one of those microfiber mops. The floors were still very dirty and there was debris left still on the floors. It was listed that kitchen appliances would be cleaned, my air fryer and microwave still had stains on the outside and inside. The sink handles were all still dirty and not cleaned. Our bathroom sink handles still had toothpaste left on. Part of the deep cleaning I paid for included the fridge which was never done. Trash was taken out but trash bags were never replaced so we had to do that ourselves. I tried to communicate the issues and ask for a partial refund but was denied. We did appreciate them offering to send people to resolve the issues but we mainly booked a deep cleaning because we had guests coming in a few days and didn't have much time to have someone come back and re do what was missed so we ended up having to re clean our selves. The deep cleaning was $280 for 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. read more

First 2 cleanings were ok (definitely not great, but ok) , then cleanings decreased in quality and attention to details is gone. Price is very high for what it's done. Seeing that every window sill is cleaned and free of dust, your messy items organized (and even folded!), and to polish it off, I know my dirty computer screens and keyboard have been cleaned.
