I had never been to an Evergreens Salad before, and so the first one I decided to try was at the airport. Usually at the airport you're stressed and mad (sad, but true), but not the woman who helped me make my own salad! She was really friendly, very patient, and very good at making my salad! She explained everything to me - like what was free and what costs extra, and I really liked my entire experience. The fact that bacon is included gives them like plus 10 points. And egg! Moreover, I noticed that everyone who works there seemed to be in high spirits even though it was really busy and the line was very long. I made a salad with delicious fixings, and got the perfect amount of dressing (by the way, I got the dijon balsamic dressing and it was DELICIOUS). My ONLY downfall is that I was so hungry I wished the salad was bigger. It came with a free little piece of bread though. Honestly the main attraction at SEA-TAC. The line was huge but worth it - I'm definitely going to arrive early for my flight again next time simply to grab a salad here first. They finally finished the renovation of the food court at Sea-Tac and I am so happy they placed this salad place! It is hard to eat healthy when you are in the air all the time. Their morning menu is about the half portion of lunch and it is $6. But I believe you can order their lunch menu in the morning as well. The lunch menu is $9 and you can add proteins etc for a couple dollar extra. People here are nice, and efficient, even tho the line seems long. The salad is fresh and delicious (you can have it in a wrap style and grain bowl style too). This is my go-to take out food place in Seattle. read more

First all $9 for a fresh made salad blows the glass ceilng off any airport competitors salads. It's about time for a place like this. I bought a Cobb Salad and had them add all the extras at no extra charge. It costs more if you want to add a protein, but it already comes with bacon and eggs. That's plenty enough. The salad is pretty big. Plenty to fill your belly. Also I've been feeling malnourished, and a salad just felt like the right time to buy. Here's a hint for all the first timers. Download their app. Register and when you pay at the register, click the pay option and scan barcode. 1st salad free until it's not. It's also a great way to introduce their products. Good job. Stopped by Evergreens before my flight and I have not been more impressed with airport food! Airport food is usually pricey, small quantities, and super subpar but Evergreens proved the complete opposite of all of this. I did a build your own and the portion of the smaller size was perfect. An added bonus for me was that tofu was a complimentary protein. There are no limits on number of toppings you choose. Dressing being on the side really helped as I ate my salad later on my flight. I'll start off by saying that it's refreshing to see a good healthy dining option in an airport. Evergreens Salad is located in the back corner of the Central Terminal of the Seattle Tacoma Airport. As a critique of the airport and not the restaurant, the food court could use more tables. I had to walk back to my gate to eat my lunch on my lap. At Evergreens, you can order salads, wraps, or grain bowls. There are set combinations of greens, vegetables, and cheese to facilitate ordering. You can order common salads such as kale caesar salad, "El Sombrero" (a typical Mexican themed salad), a Cobb salad, a Waldorf salad. If you want something less traditional, there also mushroom, cauliflower, beet, and even kimchi themed salads. Each custom salad also has its designated dressing. If you don't like their choices, you can also design and order a custom salad. Food: "Where's Waldorf" Salad ($9) with Chicken (+$3) - Note that all of the salads have more creative names than what I listed in my first paragraph. I ordered this salad as a grain bowl, so I had quinoa mixed in. Pretty much, the grain bowls are salads with your choice of grain tossed in. There was an even distribution of main salad ingredients (romaine + kale, apple, red grapes, celery, dried cranberries, and Gorgonzola). The server will ask you how much dressing you want, so you don't need to worry about having too much or too little. I thought the ingredients were fairly fresh - not sure what to expect at an airport salad restaurant, but it's good here. I personally don't think the protein add-on is worth it - I got a small scoop of chicken strips that was not out of the ordinary. The salad with just the vegetables, fruit, dressing, and cheese considered, however is very good. Service: I don't think I would come here if I was in a rush to catch a flight. The salads are custom made, but even with pre-made menu options it takes a very long time for the line to move. Once you get to order though, everyone is very pleasant and makes sure that you get a good salad. If you need a quick meal, though, I would order elsewhere. Verdict: Give yourself time to catch your flight and order a salad without protein, and you won't be disappointed with your airport meal. The produce ingredients are good, the dressings are flavorful, and the portion size is decent. It's definitely one of the better healthy options I've tried at an airport. read more

Visited on a Sunday at 1145a, I am guessing toward peak time. The line was especially long but it moved quickly. They had few premade salad options in a cooler for those in a rush, otherwise take the time to have them customize one for you. For $9, it's a great deal. I ordered mine (superbowl) in a larger bowl so I can mix it easier, and I requested light on the quinoa and dressing which they happily accommodated. GLUTEN INTOLERANT BEWARE I finally figured out why I've been in so much pain. Reached out to the company with the note below. Haven't heard back, so...here's a review so others can watch out. Dear Evergreens, Your feedback form did not work for me so I'm trying here and hoping you'll forward this appropriately. I've been traveling through the Seattle-Tacoma Airport on a weekly basis since early January (and for about six weeks in 2023) to get to specialized chemotherapy appointments not available to me at home in Alaska. Since I need to eat healthy with a cancer diagnosis and also have a few other health issues such as severe gluten intolerance and mast cell disease which can cause anaphylaxis in response to old or chemical-laden foods, Evergreens is a lifeline for me to be able to actually eat while traveling. There is almost nowhere else in the airport that provides food I can safely eat, especially without walking long distances, which I don't want to do after receiving chemo. Unfortunately, over the last few months, I've been struggling with some debilitating joint and muscle pain following my travel days that kept me mostly on the couch or bed for days. I have two small children, which makes that extra hard. I normally chalked this pain up to chemo or other meds I'd received, but it occurred to me each time that it was similar to my gluten reaction, and I think I now know why it's been happening. Tonight I watched an employee of yours cross-contaminating food bins. Your employees wear gloves which they seem to change between customers, and they have tongs to use in each bin, but this guy threw together a flour burrito wrap, reaching his gloved hands directly into bins of lettuce and other ingredients after handing the tortilla. This may not seem like a big deal to a normal person who doesn't have to deal with food sensitivities, but I know from experience this slight level of cross-contamination will put me in bed for days with pain, cause diarrhea, high irritability, and trigger autoimmune attack on my thyroid, which is also painful and which will eventually lead to the death of my thyroid. It takes six months to clear gluten fully from your system because it has a long half-life, so it's kind of a big deal especially when you work hard and spend a lot to avoid it. Not melodrama, just medical fact. I've spent in excess of $80 to get a gluten-free meal at your Seatac shop, and unfortunately I think I've been paying for the privilege of extra medical problems and pain...while going through weekly chemo. So tonight, after witnessing this behavior, I dropped my meal in the trash unopened and went dinner-less tonight. After chemo, this means I might spend the hour-long drive home throwing up, but I'll take that over what I've been going through the past several weeks likely thanks to your staff. If you don't want to be a gluten-free restaurant, you don't have to be. But if you're going to advertise yourself as having gluten-free options, it's not honest to do so or fair to customers who trust you if your employees are cross-contaminating food either due to inadequate training or thinking gluten intolerance is a stupid fad they don't really have to bother about. I hope you'll fix this error and see to it that employees receive thorough training to avoid cross-contamination, which is possible and easy. Thank you. read more

I am so impressed that you can get a healthy and DELICIOUS meal at the airport for the same price or less of the not-so-healthy options nearby. This was my first time trying Evergreens despite seeing it around all the time in Seattle. They sell salads, grain bowls, and wraps. I opted to make my own salad, though you can also pick from preset options. Everything is included in the price of $9. Though meat ($3), avocado ($2), and Beecher's cheddar ($1) are extra. My salad was so so good. The veggies were super crunchy and fresh, and the berries were juicy and sweet! I am so pleased. With the avocado, my total came to ~$12 which is good in my books for airport food. My order in its entirety: Kale, spinach, roasted broccoli, arugula, romaine lettuce, avocado, strawberries, blueberries, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, almonds, walnuts, chickpeas, tofu, cherry tomatoes, roasted corn, mushrooms, red bell pepper, bagel chip croutons, kidney beans, cucumber, green onion, and cilantro lime dressing. read more

While on my way out of WA, this spot was recommended to me by my friend I had been visiting. She said they are healthy and delicious. She was NOT wrong. I asked the girl what would be a good bowl to take to go, and she recommended the salad. I ordered the mediterean style salad and added grilled chicken. She suggested I put the salad dressing on the side. I stuffed the salad into my purse and boarded my flight. This was about 1:30pm, I had had a huge breakfast and wasn't hungry so I decided to save my salad for later. I have a reason for noting the time I will get to soon. I don't really recommend this, but, I kept the salad in my purse next to a cold beverage, for my entire journey that day. I didn't want to eat on the plane as I didn't want to eat without washing my hands first, Covid at everything, so, I didn't make it home until 7 p.m., and I was so hungry! I washed my hands, sat down and was so happy I had my salad! the bowl it comes in is perfect for adding the dressing and shaking. It was a lemon dressing, and the salad had broccoli, lettuce (duh) and sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and grilled chicken. It was still on the really fresh side and I was so happy I had it. Apparently this restaurant specializes in salads, wraps, etc. I got some salad combo and it was extremely satisfying. Great salad. Prices may be a bit more expensive but it's the airport, so yeah. I am so tired of not having great food at the airport, and often having to resort to something greasy, or a restaurant that is terrible overpriced with gross food. I was already an Evergreens regular at another location and was thrilled when this location opened. As someone who travels almost weekly, it's wonderful to have a reliable source of healthy and tasty food with enough variety that it doesn't get boring. I'm especially happy that they seem to have kept a good caliber of staff at this location - so often airport outlets are a step down. Not this one! Don't be put off if the line is long - it moves fast, and you get your food immediately at the end (vs other outlets that take your order quickly and then make you wait while they prepare it - my sense is Evergreen is often just as fast even when the line is longish.) read more

Seattle Airport has pretty poor restaurants and we chose Evergreens because it had decent reviews. My experience, it wasn't very good. Salad with quinoa (and whatever else) was basically just a big pile of arugula. Turkey was not recognizable, texture was like tofu. Had to tell the gal serving me 3 times not to put cheese on it. Evergreens is one of the more healthy alternatives at the airport, but not worth it. I ate about 1/4 of the salad and tossed it. read more

Finally a place at the airport which is vegetarian friendly, keeps its quality and PRICES, and can be customized. I always get the El Sombrero with additional vegetables and greek dressing. The salad was as good as regular city stores. They break the stereotype of bad service and quality at the airport.
