This food was the best food we had on our Alaska trip by far. Absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, very fresh seafood. The cocktails weren't too sweet, which I worry about sometimes. The view out the windows was gorgeous even on a cloudy day. Reservations were easy to make, even just a day out. They even boxed up our leftovers for us! Very kind and attentive service. I expected to spend more than I did, even with dessert! So even at a more costly price point it wasn't outrageous to me.

This restaurant has really pretty views if you want to sit outdoors or even try and get a indoor seating next to a window. The customer service was amazing for such a large party we had. The seafood chowder was very yummy a little different with the bacon bits inside of it. Then I got the fried chicken which was cooked perfectly with a crunch! We finished with the desserts the peanut butter chocolate was my favorite and reminded me of a Reese's.

Went with my bestie and her parents. We ordered mocktails and appetizers only as a small lunch. Our server was very nice. The view was amazing on the deck even when it was a little cloudy. Loved the cabin ambiance, very fitting being right on the lake. Would return here again.

    Chowder....Awesome

Service was good but not as attentive as we have had in the past. This was our first time sitting by the windows which was spectacular given the views. We had our usual bowl of chowder with some bread (awesome) but decided to explore the app selection a bit. We ordered pan seared calamari and the Marsala steak bites. The calamari looked battered and fried and was swimming in a sauce. It was tough and rubbery with a soggy coating. Definitely not good compared to their spicy calamari. They need to change the description since it is far from being breaded and pan fried. The sauce wasn't bad but overall the calamari was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The Marsala steak tips were good. They were tender and the mushrooms were flavorful. I wish the mushrooms were cut thicker but definitely a good dish. We mentioned to the server that the calamari were a bit off putting and not exactly what we expected based on the menu. When we got the check we noticed that the calamari were covered. Not too many restaurants do that these days so kudos to them (hence the 5th star). We will be back to continue our menu adventure!

We went for Sunday brunch around noon and were lucky enough to snag a table on the deck overlooking Wasilla Lake, and what an unforgettable setting. The view was nothing short of stunning: mountains mirrored in the lake, float planes gliding by, birds over the water, and the occasional kayaker drifting past. There's even the option to rent a paddleboard or kayak on-site if you're up for a little adventure before or after your meal. It's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak it all in. Now, on to the food! It was just as enjoyable as the view. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the crab cakes Benedict, and both were absolutely spot-on. You know how some Benedicts can go sideways with overcooked eggs or overpowering hollandaise? Not here. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise was smooth, fresh, and just tangy enough to complement the dish without overwhelming it. The ham had a nice thickness and tenderness, and even the English muffin had great flavor and texture. It was soft yet toasty. The home fries on the side were seasoned well, with a golden crisp on the outside and fluffy interior. We also tried two cocktails, a watermelon margarita and a spicy Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was garnished with an assortment of pickled treats: asparagus, baby pea, green bean, peppers, and more. The atmosphere was so lovely and relaxing, we decided to stretch out the experience with dessert. The chocolate cake with raspberry coulis and ice cream was a sweet and satisfying way to close the meal, and share-worthy. Service throughout was friendly and efficient, adding to what already felt like a special outing. Between the beautiful setting, thoughtful menu, and great service, we'd absolutely recommend checking this place out, especially if you can grab a seat on the deck.

Pretentious overall Meal came out before my cocktail. Then my beer finally arrived...server issues. Granted, there was a large group next to me, but I would think the place could handle it. The meal was fair. Steak at $54 without any seasoning..what?? Great chefs will get insulted if I were to add a sauce. As a customer, I'm insulted in receiving a tasteless piece of beef. As a bit of a beef snob, there are proper ways to cook meat, especially expensive top cuts like a filet... someone failed here. Recommendation?? If you're staying here as this is also a hotel or lodge... maybe. But don't make the 30-minute trek like I did. I was disappointed after so many great meals in the area. Need to stick with the breweries, I guess. Small. Yet great at their trade. Nice view over the pond to the mountain range... but still disappointed in the service and meal.

Wasilla has a winner of a restaurant with a cozy ambiance and lake views. We were very impressed for our first time here. We started with Escargot and Seared Scallops Au Feu, basically you know Escargot snails in garlic, parsley and butter - no fighting the pretentious snail shells. The Scallops, is in a chipotle cream sauce. Both executed well but the hot pepper on the menu for the scallops well turned out milder not super spicy. We like heat. A special on the Menu was Cajun Halibut Sandwich we split and decided to get the Steak Tips in Marsala, as our entrees. We upgraded the fries to Smoked Gouda Fries basically a Poutine that was well worth the upgrade! Highly recommend.

Its three distinct places in one building, a moderately fancy restaurant, a pizza and Mexican-American restaurant, and a Theater the plays amazing retro movies and presents topics of interest with the community, nation and world. Their pizza is not pizza. It is a realm of its own. As a girl from NJ, pizza is a conversation fighting point that can get violent. But I can tell you that what they make is totally unique ans delicious. There is something for almost everyone. I love 2 of their chicken pizzas- Spicy Thai (with peanut sauce) and Amazing Apricot (with Cilantro). They defy definition and are in a space all their own. The place is always SWAMPED with business because all 3 of their locations are wildly popular. My most recent visit with my adult children was not exception. As such, the service always leaves something to be desired. But the wait is worth it.

I like their menu because it has a good variety, and the food is pretty solid overall. The dine-in service has generally been good, and the restaurant itself looks clean, modern, and comfortable. That said, the takeout experience has almost always been on the slower side throughout the years, so that is one area I think they could improve. Still, Phonatik is one of the better pho restaurants in Anchorage. I really think they have a lot of potential, but they may need to step up their game a bit to become truly outstanding.

I'm sitting right in front of you. I finally get my order! hallelujah. but it's fucked up because you know they're rushing at this point. I ordered the rolls with NO PEANUTS. NO PEANUTS - highly allergic. this is non negotiable. apparently some dude doesn't think so and asks if switching out the peanut sauce sitting next to my rolls is good enough. no, bro. not good enough. then I'm asked if I had originally ordered my rolls with no nuts. well considering how highly reactive I am, yeah, yeah i'm sure. and why are you really trying to blame me for this epic fuck up? worst thing is you can tell the kids working here don't give a fuck. it's so obvious and takes away from what makes Phonatik so good. so like I said earlier : get your shit together.
