This was spectacular! The views were amazing from the deck outside! We had the macadamia nut halibut and it came with a buerre blanc sauce, which was to die for. It started fine. Seated quickly, first round out fast. For about eleven minutes I believed in this place. Then the live music started, and the room was annexed. To be fair to the band -- they were good. But somebody had handed them 250 JBL speakers in unison and the moral authority of a foghorn. I've been to quieter frat parties. Kids were covering their ears and crying -- the only honest review anyone gave all night. A Honda Civic blasting trap in a Walmart lot would have leaned out and said bro, take it down. My cocktail died fifteen minutes before the appetizers arrived. I asked for another. Ten minutes later I ordered it. Twenty minutes after that it came. The man who runs the bar must be an Amish bishop whose mission in life is to bring sobriety to the English. I both respect his discipline and resent him. The apps were fine. Impressive, even, considering a head chef who is clearly a Samsung microwave, a bottle of vegetable oil, and a can opener. Hard to eat, though -- no plates. My party ate directly off the tray like dogs. A fitting psychological appetizer for the humiliation ritual about to begin. Above it all, four TVs played WWE. Silent, of course -- nothing in that building could be heard. Odd for a high-end place. Hold that thought. The music got louder. There's no reason for it to have gotten louder. It got louder. The waitress reappeared and we screamed at each other for five minutes, faces six inches apart, both lip-reading. Food is clearly secondary here; the primary business is a CIA-funded study on human tolerance for millennial stomp-clap. Most entrées were fine. But the seafood pasta. The house special. The reason I'm writing. Imagine a cheap Walmart essential oil, but it isn't Moonlight Beach or Tea Tree. The label says FISH MUSK. What the sink tastes like after you wash a fish in it. Fold that into fifteen gallons of seed oil and noodles marinated overnight in lukewarm tap water in a Ziploc bag. Garnish with one six-hundredth of a crab leg, a can of scallops, two shrimp, and oysters. Prophetic oysters. One bite and I saw it the way saints see things: hours on a toilet, praying to gods my ancestors abandoned generations ago for the mercy of death -- and beneath it, my own private concert, a bass line off the porcelain loud enough to set every dog in the neighborhood barking. Even at home, no escape from the volume. That prophecy is being fulfilled as I type. The only honest thing in the building. The oil warrants EPA involvement. The smell is on my car. It's on my cat. It is on an unborn grandchild four generations down, moving through my bloodline like the ocean's revenge for PFAS. They were out of four things. In hindsight, God's mercy. And still, under a $43 pasta, the music. Not music by then. Weather. A pressure system with a drummer. I stopped hearing it and started receiving it, the way a house receives a hurricane. My party spoke to me. I watched their mouths move. There was no sound. Only fish musk and my brain shutting down the five senses permanently, so this could never happen again. There's a specific loneliness in shouting IS YOURS OKAY? across a two-top three times and giving up. That's the house specialty. Not the pasta. The giving up. And that's when I understood the televisions. I looked up at a silent man in trunks throwing another silent man through a folding table, and it was beautiful. Shakespeare at the Globe. Mozart conducting Mozart. Against the violence of that room, professional wrestling was the only art present. I watched a chair shot in total silence and felt something close to prayer. I got into my car and the band came with me. So did the fish musk. Neither has left. But like devil's club, there's a therapy in it -- so much sensory abuse that the body has nothing left to give, and what's left is a strange, unearned appreciation for being alive. Two stars. I travelled 2700 miles to have a romantic valentines dinner with my man. We chose Everett's, in Wasilla, thinking we would get great service and good food. We ordered steak and crab... waited 45 minutes to get the salad. However, After 2 1/2 hours, we still didn't get our meal. As many other's were waiting for food, a couple sits down and orders a hamburger and was served within 20 minutes. That was it, we were done waiting. My husband and I took my dad here while he was visiting. Everett's is such a nice spot for a semi fancy dinner on the water. It's gorgeous during the sunset. The interior is super cozy and they have great decoration of antler chandeliers and Alaskan photos all around. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. For drinks, I ordered the polar bear and the winter warmer. The polar bear was sooooo good! It's a sweeter drink but perfect to go with a salad or something light like that. The winter warmer was good in flavor but MAN was it strong!! I even had them add heavy cream to it and it STILL did not lessen the strength for me lol. I couldn't get past a couple sips of it. It's very good, but beware its strength! lol! For food I got the beets and berries salad which was delicious and perfect with my first polar bear drink. My husband got the carbonara which he is now OBSSESSED with and will only order that dish lol. My dad ordered the halibut and said it was so good. It wasn't an overloaded amount but enough for him to finish it all and fill up! For the appetizer we ordered the smoked Gouda fries which ended up taking longer than it did for us to get our food so our waitress, Isabella, comped it and gave us a free dessert! She was so kind and the epitome of what customer service is. The fries, unfortunately, had very little Gouda only drizzled on top of the giant potato wedges and a mountain of green onions on it. They were still very good but should be labeled as just fries. This was the only reason it did not get 5 stars. For the free dessert we got the creme brulee which is always my favorite. Service was good but not as attentive as we have had in the past. This was our first time sitting by the windows which was spectacular given the views. We had our usual bowl of chowder with some bread (awesome) but decided to explore the app selection a bit. We ordered pan seared calamari and the Marsala steak bites. The calamari looked battered and fried and was swimming in a sauce. It was tough and rubbery with a soggy coating. Definitely not good compared to their spicy calamari. They need to change the description since it is far from being breaded and pan fried. The sauce wasn't bad but overall the calamari was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The Marsala steak tips were good. They were tender and the mushrooms were flavorful. I wish the mushrooms were cut thicker but definitely a good dish. We mentioned to the server that the calamari were a bit off putting and not exactly what we expected based on the menu. When we got the check we noticed that the calamari were covered. Not too many restaurants do that these days so kudos to them (hence the 5th star). We will be back to continue our menu adventure! read more

We went for Sunday brunch around noon and were lucky enough to snag a table on the deck overlooking Wasilla Lake, and what an unforgettable setting. The view was nothing short of stunning: mountains mirrored in the lake, float planes gliding by, birds over the water, and the occasional kayaker drifting past. There's even the option to rent a paddleboard or kayak on-site if you're up for a little adventure before or after your meal. It's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak it all in. Now, on to the food! It was just as enjoyable as the view. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the crab cakes Benedict, and both were absolutely spot-on. You know how some Benedicts can go sideways with overcooked eggs or overpowering hollandaise? Not here. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise was smooth, fresh, and just tangy enough to complement the dish without overwhelming it. The ham had a nice thickness and tenderness, and even the English muffin had great flavor and texture. It was soft yet toasty. The home fries on the side were seasoned well, with a golden crisp on the outside and fluffy interior. We also tried two cocktails, a watermelon margarita and a spicy Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was garnished with an assortment of pickled treats: asparagus, baby pea, green bean, peppers, and more. The atmosphere was so lovely and relaxing, we decided to stretch out the experience with dessert. The chocolate cake with raspberry coulis and ice cream was a sweet and satisfying way to close the meal, and share-worthy. Service throughout was friendly and efficient, adding to what already felt like a special outing. As a bit of a beef snob, there are proper ways to cook meat, especially expensive top cuts like a filet... someone failed here. Recommendation?? If you're staying here as this is also a hotel or lodge... maybe. But don't make the 30-minute trek like I did. I was disappointed after so many great meals in the area. Wasilla has a winner of a restaurant with a cozy ambiance and lake views. We were very impressed for our first time here. We started with Escargot and Seared Scallops Au Feu, basically you know Escargot snails in garlic, parsley and butter - no fighting the pretentious snail shells. The Scallops, is in a chipotle cream sauce. Both executed well but the hot pepper on the menu for the scallops well turned out milder not super spicy. We like heat. A special on the Menu was Cajun Halibut Sandwich we split and decided to get the Steak Tips in Marsala, as our entrees. We upgraded the fries to Smoked Gouda Fries basically a Poutine that was well worth the upgrade! Highly recommend. read more

I really enjoy Everett's. The service is always amazing. The food is so good! The views of the lake is lovely, peaceful during the winter months and beautiful in the summer. Outside dining is available during the summer. During the winter, there's welcoming heat lamps and fire pits on the deck. The menu features exciting options, including the event and weekly specials. I ordered the chicken piccata special and loved it!! The chicken was very tender, I had to do a double to take to see if it was chicken or fish that I was eating because of the tenderness. Delish! The drinks are strong-just the way I like it! After two..I was feeling toasty in this wonderful Alaska winter season. The bacon wrapped dates for appetizers are highly recommended. The drinks and view from the deck were fantastic. Our server was sweet but didn't fit the bill. We went without napkins our entire meal. The table behind us, that arrived after us, was fully equipped. My spouse got a $75 Porterhouse steak, so he eventually received a fancy napkin and knife. I was handed a spoon, my spouse was handed a fork, both by the kitchen food runner, a few minutes after our food came out. My spouses steak was quality and tasty, but too well done, noticeably smaller, and more expensive than any steak available to order at Double Musky, for example. Their King Crab Mac was better (not as rich) as both Orso's and Altura's Bistro, but the portion was smaller. The spicy calamari was elite. Everett's also has kids menu, hand-breaded chicken strips, with the literal best hand-cut fries, that my son enjoyed. Its rare we visit fine dining restaurants that do. It was a cloudy, slightly windy day. We made reservations to sit on the deck and upon being seated, asked about using one of the many fire pits/outdoor heaters. Our server told us she needed to track down a full propane tank. It was forgotten about all together and never mentioned again. My main reason for choosing Everett's for my spouses Father's Day weekend, was the water toys available to rent after your dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn't sunny and Everett's was clearly short staffed, so we didn't bother asking. We decided we'd take a stroll on the dock overlooking Wasilla Lake, after our dinner. When we got up, and looked over the railing, we could see there was a group of people (who arrived after us), seated near the dock, with none other than.... a warm blazing fire pit. Annoying. We didn't feel comfortable having to pass them so closely, (to get on the dock), so we just left and went to Palmer City Alehouse for dessert and drinks. Everett's missed out on at least $100 more on our ticket. Would I come back? Maybe if it was sunny and we planned to utilize their water toys. Otherwise, there are closer, cheaper places. read more

Service was slow or no where to be found. The mojito was diluted. Tasted like watered down limeade with low quality rum. The clams were not rinsed well so every bite was gritty. Everett's might be more of a 3.5 for me, but when it's good it's pretty darn good and I appreciate that it's there for a few reasons, so I've settled on 4. My most recent experience here was great. And I remember coming here on the 4th of July a couple years ago and that was really great. In between that, there's been some low average to average experiences but at the end of the day, the valley doesn't have too many places that are a great location with outdoor seating and drinks so I appreciate having that kind of place here. I'll start with the blah experiences then end with the great. At it's worst, Everett's has had very slow service and average food for the price. Both of these more negative experiences was during their trivia nights. Which I'm not sure if they do anymore? But if they start it up again I think having a balance between getting service to trivia players and regular restaurant guests is needed. At it's best, I've had really enjoyable meals here with an awesome view and great service. Their outdoor seating on a nice day can't beat. I highly recommend their happy hour which I think is on certain times during the day. We happened to be there during happy hour once and we got multiple apps and drinks for a great deal. Their calamari is really good! They have really good cocktails too. I would love it if they had more vegetarian options on the menu, but I've always found something to eat as I do eat seafood and they have lots of those options. The seafood pasta was good, the pasta sauce was a good consistency (the other reviews are misleading) it's thick and creamy and garlicky. The seafood was cooked well other than the fish seemed to be a tad overcooked along with the shrimp. Best experience I have had here yet! The service was fast and we had a great time overall with the ambiance in the "fancy side" of the restaurant. I think their food only lacks when seated on the bar side for some reason. read more

Everett's did a great job accommodating our group of 9 during the last week of July. Despite being short-staffed, we were seated quickly on the beautiful stretch of the back patio overlooking the lake and distant mountains. The staff helped moved some tables together and got drinks started right away. While the service was a bit slower than one would probably like, it's good to remember that most places are still short-staffed due to COVID and other factors. The Empress Lavender, Ginger Electric Lemonade, and Fireweed drinks were all raved about and helped pass the time. Our group ordered a whole bunch of appetizers - the steak tips trended a bit dry, but the flavors were all there; the spicy calamari and the pan-seared calamari were both crowd favorites; the clams were fresh though with a bit too much sauce; and the blind dates (bacon wrapped) were real winners with a good balance of sweet, savory, and just a tiny hint of tart. If you like a good chowder, the seafood chowder is rich and hearty, which is great on a slightly cooler evening. For main courses, the group had a mixed bag of opinions. The winners were around the seafood pasta (beautiful large chunks of seafood in a rich, creamy sauce - so much so, you almost can ignore the noodles); the salmon on cedar plank was beautifully grilled with a well-balanced chimichurri sauce; the halibut was cooked well though the group demurred on the pear sauce; and the individual in our group who went with the ribeye enjoyed it as it was cooked as order to perfection. As others have called out, there's a nice indoor area with large picture windows and a more intimate bar area as well. There was live music on the patio the night we went - it wasn't anything special, but made for a lively atmosphere. DINNER 8pm - Saturday Super busy. Definitely make reservations. Loved dining on the deck! Great view / ambiance right next to the lake. The bugs / mosquitoes were non-existent so that was great. Don't be in a rush. Sit back and relax. They are short staffed like every where else. The food was tasty. We stuck with beer and wine for drinks since we knew they were busy and that it would easiest / fastest to get these types of drinks. They did a good job of keeping our water glasses full. I had the arugula salad and it was huge! Nice and fresh! Love the bacon in it. Easily can share this salad as a starter between a couple people. Everett's has a couple different sections. They have a "fine dining" section that is inside with white table cloths. The dining room has big picture windows so that you can easily see and enjoy the lake outside. There is also a bar area, and where we sat .. out on the patio deck looking out onto the lake. As a side note: we also had breakfast inside in the "fine dining" section. They do NOT do breakfast normally. This was arranged special by our tour. Their breakfast was amazing! Super fluffy scrambled eggs and all sorts of sides. I was craving a good steak. I wanted the bone in ribeye and I wasn't that disappointed. It was definitely cooked over a gas grill. The temperature was just right as medium rare. There's was a lot of marbling that increased the taste . It's so unhealthy but that piece of burnt fat stick at the end of the meat was so so good! I didn't eat the mashed potatoes.
