I went in for my second visit, and it lasted less than 5 min. During the 5 min visit, he ended up changing his initial diagnosis of me having a corn to a bone spur after he left my toe bleeding when he tried to trim the affected area. My toe wouldn't stop bleeding, so his receptionist had his assistant to bandage my toe. He was rushed and condescending, all around a terrible visit. To make matters worse, I got billed $ 185.50 for trimming the skin lesion which my insurance doesn't cover. When I disputed the charge, they didn't get back to me as they say they would. Look for another doctor if you want a doctor who actually cares .

Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, she is professional, and extremely personable. She genuinely cares about people and takes pride in her work. You hit the jackpot if she is your first contact as she was my husband's who called the facility on my behalf to research the level of skill and credentials at Axis because I had been to a previous PT who only has two Masters degrees so was not a DPT. After several months, I left without success and physically worse off. I was weary and leery of starting anew. I made the right choice going to Axis because every DPT is highly credentialed and I improved! If you have a lot of questions or concerns regarding this facility and staff, be assured they will help you. Everyone I encountered was very well trained. I had the best aide I have ever had! I do not exaggerate. Her name is Kat. She is currently working toward a Doctorates in Physical Therapy. Her degrees are in Kinesiology and Psychology which make her an excellent aide! Once she receives her DPT her talent will soar as she will combine her knowledge of kinesiology and psychology. As an aide, she had the education of how important proper body mechanics and movement is for pain relief and pain management as our limitations affect all areas of life. Kat is very professional and has more knowledge than any PTA that has ever helped me. She knew how to help me without hesitation. I felt vey confident in her ability. Axis is very accommodating. I asked to work with a female. I worked with two female DPTs, Lia and Jessica. Axis has two DPTs work together, alternating sessions, to make sure they have a more complete understanding of a patient's needs and condition each bringing their own expertise. I was uncomfortable at first because I had only worked with one DPT or PT. I didn't understand why two different people were working with me. They were both very different and very helpful. Two people have better eyes on a patient than one. I had no strength in my transverse abdominal muscles when I first started. I went twice a week and was very vigilant with my home exercises. To my surprise I improved very fast! Axis Physical Therapy is very well run and the staff are a very friendly team.

After being brushed off, by an overpriced orthopedic doctor.....I had a very bad fall, he finally agreed I needed more than an Amazon brace. Referred here. Dr. Jessica is amaze-balls. She looks so sweet, but brought the pain. It was awful, seriously. I had bruises constantly on that leg/ankle area. As she promised, if I stuck with it, I'd be able to avoid surgery and it would help. I trusted her, got through the pain. Followed her home exercises and 6 months later I'm feeling a lot better. I'd recommend her and the staff to anyone looking for quality physical therapy, not a pill to numb the pain.

In long After my lovely bride had a massive stroke 15 months ago, pain set in over time. Neural pain makes mild inflammation in her hip and thigh feel like torture. If she pulls a muscle it's agony (and it's easy to fall when you've lost mobility, which can lead to pulls). She gets headaches that she never used to get. Lots of aches and pains throughout. We tried a pain management clinic in Everett and all they really did was walk us through the idea that there are 3 ways to manage pain. First is pain-relief drugs, which they refused to prescribe since they're not in the same network with her primary care. Sigh. Second is active treatment, and she was already getting PT, OT, massage, and, at the time, acupuncture. So they didn't see any potential there. Third is carefully-planned rest and activity periods. She was loving getting up and walking at the time so she was getting her blood flowing more than zero. So they agreed to do nothing at all for her. We also saw a pain interventionist in Silver Lake, who consciously declares (and is known in the industry) never to prescribe. She focuses on injections and other outpatient procedures to manage how the nervous system perceives pain. She couldn't see anything that would work for her, so, again, she did nothing. We got a third referral after her hip flared up again and her primary prescribed a stronger pain med in the short term. Her primary noted that she's always chasing her pain, rather than really managing it. So off to NWPM we go. The building is new enough, nice enough. Accessible parking underneath with a proper elevator. You get upstairs and it says you must ring the bell to get in. Turns out the door is unlocked, and ringing the bell just makes them get up to answer the door. Why do they not prop the door open? Why do they leave the sign up? It's just a little piece of copier paper taped to the door. Easy to remove. But okay. The front desk staff seemed confused about our presence, at least to some extent. Not sure what to have us do, not sure who we'd be seeing, not sure what to tell us to expect. Not encouraging. We sat in the waiting room, which looks like they got it on closeout. Tags still on. Frames with stock photos still inside--not even of local scenery, just the family photos that they sell with the empty frame. A little creepy. None of the furniture goes together. We finally go back and the physician's assistant who sees us is super nice. Very calm guy, patiently goes over her whole chart and recent medical history. Walks her through tons of options, asks tons of questions, explains all the different ideas he has for helping her. First he wants to replace her meds with a patch that will continuously manage her pain, and see how that goes. Sounds great! He said he just had a patient report that morning that she found the exact same Rx to be "stunning" in its effectiveness. Then on the way out we have to have a UA test to make sure she's eligible for a strong pain med...they don't know how we're gonna do that, or who's gonna help. So they let someone else go first while we wait with all the mismatched furniture. In the end, we're very optimistic about the potential for this treatment. But every other patient and every person in the office reminded us of an episode of Better Call Saul. Odd vibes here.

I arrived early for my 6pm appointment with Dr Ball, I saw a new person at the desk, she was polite at first, i offered to give her my new debit card to keep on file.So I could pay my forty dollar coPay on monday or wednesday?Which is my payday as we live paycheck to paycheck right now with the high cost of living in washington state, usually the people at the desk are lenient about it.And it's not a problem, and we don't carry a balance... She was very argumentative, picked up the phone and started reporting it to a manager as if ive done something wrong . I was confused about her attitude, and I let her know that it's usually not a problem If i've ever asked and it's only a couple of days, we have very expensive insurance That covers everything.And she kept arguing... being disrespectful, I asked her to stop with her causing me stress as I was there for a painful issue, she kept lecturing, gas liteing, baiting me, I finally said please stop!! I went to room 4 , the door was open at that point, and I could hear her talking really loud in the front office about me.Saying untrue statements to someone on the phone... She saw me in hallway , I asked her to stop talking about me like that, inappropriate..she tried to force me to take her phone , i said not appropriate, and I went inside the room closed the door waiting for the dr ball to come in for my appointment. Suddenly the door burst open, Dr Ball had a look of anger on his face that I've never seen before he came rushing towards me, yelling , what did you do to her!! GET OUT !! I was shaking, I was not all the way dressed, n afraid of dr ball at that point, I entered the hallway rushing toward the door confused, Two more people started yelling at me.Get out.Get out, never come back here, get out.Get out. I was shaking , in shock, The front desk person, had some type of a break down, acting as though she was attacked, when I was in another room, not near her at all. Last year Jennifer refused my cash coPay at one of my appointments, she then labeled me as not paying coPays, she said it in front of others at front lobby, I had a zero balance at that point.But she still refused my cash payment for the co.Pay that day. Why I even bothered after this point is beyond me! 1st appointment for an evaluation was fine. I thought maybe I had misjudged the place. 2nd appointment was unsatisfactory. The PT told me that they were terribly understaffed and she looked like she was ready to cry. After that visit, I decided to go to the trouble (and the new wait time) of getting a new referral for a different rehab place. So now, a month later, I get a bill for "services" totaling over $400. Services? For what? I would suggest you find a different PT office, if you are looking for help. Summit on 19th Ave, Silver Lake area may have been a great office 6 months ago but in my experience, it was a huge waste of time. I WILL be disputing this bill!!
