I have been in ASTYM Therapy for my hamstring pain with Ben and I've been amazed with the progress. In January I could barely run a few miles without pain, and on Sunday, I ran 20 and felt great! So, after at least 3 phone calls, the date for my first appointment was mixed up and I missed it. Finally, I get an appointment and there is no one in their office to take my insurance info. Why I even bothered after this point is beyond me! 1st appointment for an evaluation was fine. I thought maybe I had misjudged the place. 2nd appointment was unsatisfactory. The PT told me that they were terribly understaffed and she looked like she was ready to cry. After that visit, I decided to go to the trouble (and the new wait time) of getting a new referral for a different rehab place. So now, a month later, I get a bill for "services" totaling over $400. Services? For what? I would suggest you find a different PT office, if you are looking for help. Summit on 19th Ave, Silver Lake area may have been a great office 6 months ago but in my experience, it was a huge waste of time. I WILL be disputing this bill!!

I cannot express how knowledgeable and caring the staff are at Engineered Sports Therapy…read more I originally chose EST because of a MCL tear and because a friend referred me to them, letting me know that I would be very well cared for. They go far beyond that and honestly do it all. I came for an injury and now that I have recovered in record time, I have become a client for sports training. Even while I was going for physical therapy for my knee injury, they didn't just focus their efforts on healing my knee. Each time I went in I was given a performance nutrition supplement (ask them about it and they will explain to you what it is and how it works with your body and performance), I was sent to a strength coach (not at risk of losing muscle while my knee recovers), and I am sent home with a protein shake and a high-five. This place is energizing and each trainer/physical therapist truly cares about the outcome of their clients. Just look at the wall when you enter and you will see how important their clients are to them. Other important notes: -The facility is large and very well equipped for both therapy and training/conditioning. -You are constantly challenged in new ways (new daily workouts, incorporating different types of fitness or therapy techniques into your workout, trying new machines, new ways of using various equipment). I don't think I've ever had the exact same workout twice. -Client age ranges are vast, from middle school teens to senior citizens. EST will meet you where your physical limitations are. They can move slow and easy for those who need slower recovery or training, or they can pick up the pace and push you to new levels! -EST is far better than any gym membership. I am moving soon and I fear I will never find a place like it. Engineered Sports Therapy is best for: -anyone needing physical therapy regardless of prior physical activity experience -athletes- training is very intense and will push you to new levels while keeping you injury free -teens needing extra training for high school sports -collegiate athletes- training during the summer. I have seen collegiate athletes working through their binders of summer training with coaches here. -anyone looking for a new and fun way to stay fit I hope you find this place as wonderful as I have. When someone is actively trying to become a patient, I don't think they should have to chase a business. The lack of follow-through gave me the impression that they either did not need or were not particularly interested in my business, so I moved on and started looking for another physical therapy provider. I can't speak to the quality of their therapists or treatment because I never received care there. My 1-star rating is based entirely on my experience trying to become a new patient and the lack of follow-up.

Visited this location for pre-employment medical services. Not my first choice. Concentra locations…read morestay busy no matter the time or day. I arrived at 0800 to find a line waiting to be checked in, took about 20 mins for the wait time just to check in. Once all that was completed, I had to wait in the lobby until 9am when I was finally called back. By this time the lobby was full and people were having to wait outside. Was sent back to lobby by physician to check out and wait on my paperwork at 940am By the time I left the facility it was already 945am. Took almost 2 hours to get two things completed: urine drug screen and physical. While the ladies checking people in were doing their best the keep up, it appear as though the bottleneck was in the back. Everyone was really nice and very apologetic about the situation as they attempted to deescalate issues with the waiting time. Personally when it comes time to getting these preemployment services done, my expectations remain low.

So I was told to bring in my sleep study and I would get my card if it was mild or given a chance yo comply. I bring it in and was made to pay for another physical and was denied again. They wanted more tests. They won't get more out of me. I don't think they realized it was a financial struggle to.pay for another physical so I can become employed again. And then deny me after raising the bar. There's no more to give.

Finding the right place to trust to gain that movement is important too. Finding Pacific Hand Therapy in Everett was a piece of good fortune. The receptionist, Katie, always met me with a smile and no matter how much pain I was in, found a way to make me laugh and always made me feel welcomed. The Clinic Director, Regina Bowen, works right along side the other therapists and leads with wisdom and humor. My therapist, Trevor, was amazing. Not only did he put up with my sarcasm, he expertly crafted exercises that healed my hand faster than I expected. Rarely do you find a rehab building that you "want" to go to that may sometimes inflict pain upon you as ligaments are carefully massaged and stretched. There was always something unexpected and fun: homemade baklava during the holidays, stories of our pets, and new activities to try.
