Personal Trainer with every workout at no extra cost!--Yeah, you read that right. It is nice to have someone lay it out for you. I don't have to think of diddly squat, I just show up and say 'what up Boss?", and he puts me to work to get my sweat on. It is good to have someone yell at you to keep on going. That way, it isn't just your own voice in your head motivating you. 2. They keep it fresh by mixing up the workouts--I do the same basic warm up stuff, but the tri-set circuits they have me on, they mix it up the exercise combos. It could be lateral hurdle hops-leaping squat rows and medicine ball figure 8's. or something else. something different everyday. 3. No Contracts and no signup fees-- Well first off they give you a week free, but if you want more after that, you just pay your months fee upfront and that is it. You can also pay by the class if you want, but I just did the month. thing. 4. SWEAT! SWEAT! SWEAT!-- I go in for one hour workouts and they keep me moving the whole time, it is go go go, and my shirt is soaked at the end. And it ain't fake hot yoga sweat, it is you are moving and busting ass sweat. It is 5 min warm-up on treadmill, the 7 or so warm up exercises, and then it is tri set circuit after tri set circuit after tri set circuit until my time is up. I sweated 4 lbs from beginning to end last Thursday! :) I would say if you live in the Everett area and want to join a gym to get in shape, this is the place to go

The High Fitness class with Katie is awesome! My membership also includes access to the Monroe location and their P60 classes, which are strength and conditioning classes. I love these classes so hopefully they bring them to the Lake Stevens location soon! Finally, I highly recommend training with Aaron! With me, he focuses on functional fitness and avoiding injury while still pushing me hard! I have definitely grown stronger and leaner since training with him.

I was willing to spend the extra money (their rates are higher than other gyms in my area) because there were 2-3 classes every week that appealed to me. I showed up for the first class, and became aware that the posted classes are not consistent, if available at all. No problem, right? I was still excited to utilize their body scanner, sauna, massage bed, and of course their outdated gym equipment. However, during my second month scan (May 2025) the trainer who assisted me and analyzed my scan was super condescending and unprofessional. Her comments were unnecessary and made me feel very awkward, so I didn't go back for months. With the fee so high I decided to slip in and use their sauna when that staff member wasn't there, but in the end not worth the hassle.

I checked in Evergreen branch and Mill Creek branch in Everett Washington and I was not greeted by the front desk, immediately felt like I was being judged, no eye contact, absolutely no help. I was refused to be let in even after the manager from my home club called and informed them of a duplicate record. They threatened to call the police. I was treated like crap. I left both times crying. I been across the United States and used my black card and never experienced such discrimination? If you are a van dweller you are not welcome. I never seen such snobby people in all my life. Whatever happened to the no judgement zone?

As a guest on my partner's account, I encountered two unacceptable situations that made my visits incredibly distressing. First, about a week ago, I was told by a staff member named Jesse that I could not access the gym facilities while my partner was in the locker room, despite providing my phone number and having no previous issues. I was forced to wait outside in the waiting area for over an hour, which was both inconvenient and humiliating. He claimed that I could be a "thief" while he sat there giggling with the same girl the second incident is about. Today, things got even worse. Due to my disability Severe (OCD), I shower with the curtain open because I am highly afraid of germs. A staff member yelled at me to close the curtain because I was allegedly making one other person uncomfortable. Despite my explanations and the fact that I told her I was finished with my shower, this staff member continued to berate me in front of everyone, causing me to have a panic attack. She yelled over and over " I don't care close the curtain!" It's astonishing that a locker room, where nudity is expected, would have such a rigid and poorly communicated policy. These incidents have left me deeply dissatisfied, UNCOMFORTABLE, and I will never return to this gym. The negative experiences overshadow any positive aspects, and it's clear that the staff at this location need better training on handling sensitive situations and enforcing policies fairly. I see naked women all the time in the actual locker room part of the locker room not showering. Never complained. Never felt uncomfortable. I have never complained before these incidents, however while I'm at it, the shower curtains never get cleaned, there is a shower that has been extremely clogged for over a month, the showers are also not cleaned often or throughly there is always hair in the drain and other nasty substances. My partner says that multiple shower heads in the gentleman's room are missing and there is also always little tiny black worms on the floor, he also stated that he saw a couple (man + woman) In the men's showers apparently showering together, and a tooth brush head on the shower floor that looked like it was covered in what looked like feces. But yeah sure worry about my normal naked body in a public locker room and shower. There is one employee here who has always been super nice and I hate that I do not know his name but he deserves a better job! He explained to me that this is not policy but the damage has been done. The woman NEVER apologized. JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE? YEAH RIGHT. MORE LIKE DISCRIMINATORY ZONE.

My daughter's partner was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given a prognosis of 6-12 months. He is currently on SSI disability since he can no longer work so his income is very limited, and asked about a free membership, and the answer was a flat no. Just policy over people. For an organization that claims to be community-focused, that response was shocking and unexpected. He is facing overwhelming physical, emotional, and financial stress. Something as simple as access to a supportive, healthy environment could make a meaningful difference--yet the Everett YMCA chose bureaucracy over basic human decency. If this is how you treat people at their most vulnerable, then all the talk about "healthy living," and "social responsibility" is just marketing fluff.
