A sudden mobility issue happened back on 2/17/26. Working with my primary care facility and physician at Pacific Medical Center - Shoreline, I was referred to, had Xrays completed and evaluated at Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care that evening. The PA-C seen referred me to Edmonds Orthopedic Center (affiliated with Proliance Surgeons), located also at the Swedish Edmonds medical campus. My initial evaluation was with Michael Lee, MD on 2/23/26 where it was determined a MRI was needed to make a definitive diagnosis. This was completed at an affiliate site, North Puget Sound MRI in Mountlake Terrace on 3/6/26. My MRI results and next steps were addressed again with another appointment with Dr. Lee on 3/12/26. The MRI brought to light my current situation and potential future issues to be made aware of. I also received a cortisone steroid shot to help reduce discomfort and inflammation at this visit. My recovery is still ongoing, just thankful no physical therapy and/or surgical intervention are needed at this time. Yes, one has to deal with the wait (blame the insurance and medical care system in the US). Overall, I have been pleased with the professional care provided without the hassles of having to see similar organizations in downtown Seattle. It is much more accessible as a Shoreline resident to be seen at northend sites in Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace. My interactions via phone, online, and onsite have been favorable. Pro tips: Understand that time is needed to have referrals reviewed and approved by one's insurance coverage, especially if there were any policy changes. This does affect scheduling and copays. Exercise your patience, do your due diligence to follow up, ask questions and for clarity to advocate for the best outcome for your care. Give yourself extra time to locate parking, whether on the adjacent street, main parking lot, or parking garage whether you are dropped off or driving yourself. It does get congested and not fun with limited mobility and inclement weather. The common areas like lobby, elevators, and waiting areas are busy so be proactive to wear a mask and/or use hand sanitizer. Complete any online check-in requests prior to your actual onsite appointment. This will streamline your check-in process. Copays can be paid ahead or at the check-in counter. Getting a hold of a front desk is a nightmare, and if you are lucky enough to get through, you will be treated like crap. Scheduling is an absolute nightmare. Made me call dead end numbers to resolve a $45 bill from 2017 that I never knew about until 2025 because their billing department never sent it to me. When I was finally able to make an appointment because one receptionist actually decided to do their job, it was phone tag all over again to take care of said bill they never sent. Once I finally got there, I found that they were on the third floor and there were no wheelchairs on the first floor to try to get upstairs. Luckily, I had a friend accompanying me to prevent any further injury trying to get to their office. I waited around an hour or so just to be seen for 5 minutes by a doctor. If you cam help it, avoid this place at all costs. read more

This place is a mess. Whenever I have seen a doc here, there is always some sort of crises going on at the front desk. If you try to contact the office by phone you will be on hold for at least 15 minutes. I saw Dr. Chrisman and he was always in a hurry, never seemed familiar with my issue and left a lot of decisions up to me, (I am not a doctor). If you need to get an MRI DO NOT go here, you can never talk to a rep to get scheduled, it is a joke. read more

I came here to be treated for my post op frozen shoulder. They got me in quickly and the staff over the phone was delightful. The facility is newer and clean. They are slammed however. The waiting room was packed. My appointment was on time, but that's where some hiccups happen. They never imported any of my previous imaging or patient files my surgeons office had sent over. It was quite chaotic trying to find someone who could import them. I ended up having my dr office fax them as well as resend them to Swedish (their systems are patterned). I sat for over 30 min waiting.the Dr finally gave up and saw me without seeing any of my surgery scans, notes etc so it was mildly frustrating trying to explain it to him. My appointment with him was rushed as it was now 30 min behind. He was kind and got on a solid plan with me. I chose him due to his reviews and recommendations in community groups. I left feeling slightly bewildered and with some questions unanswered. They do not have a my chart so there is no way to digitally ask questions. When I called to schedule my surgery they are so slammed you have to leave a voicemail and they will call you back with available dates. If you miss that call you have to pick a Date and again leave them voicemail and wait for a return call in 1-2 days to confirm if that time is available. The phone tag and difficulty planning a schedule is frustrating. I'm feelingly slightly nervous that if they are this slammed and frazzled that my surgery will be rushed as well. It doesn't leave a super positive feeling for patients undergoing surgery. read more

Dr. Kuechle's stigmatization of overweight individuals is evident in the video on his clinic's website. I wish I'd seen it before seeing him about my arthritic knees. He cited outdated research, belittled me, dismissed my concerns, and left me feeling hopeless and ashamed. The clinic itself isn't much better. I can confirm what other reviewers have said about the crowded waiting room and long wait times. A first-year med student did my intake and initial exam (without any supervision). She was, however, more professional and a more empathetic listener than Kuechle. read more

First off , Dr Barrett is amazing. I broke my foot and ankle 6 weeks ago. I saw him initially and then just had my follow up. I'm healing appropriately. He was informing and engaged me with my own care. I do have to say, the scheduling situation was flustered. I don't know if it's because they have new staff or if there has been a systemic problem. In any case, once you are there, the staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this office. read more

Dr. Christal is excellent. I felt confident that he was giving me the best information for my situation and x-rays. I'm glad that my PT (also excellent Dr. Grace Ellison) referred me to him. I had an extremely complex ankle problem from years of endurance training and professional sports. Doctors I consulted earlier were largely useless, including the Hansen Clinic at Harborview, where things only got worse. But then I found the Edmonds Orthopedic center (note that some of the negative reviews are for other than the Edmonds Center) and Dr Foral. We eventually decided on amputation, and my life has turned around: I am mobile, comfortable, able to do things I hadn't been able to do for years. The care I received was genuinely CARE, personal, informative, helpful. Dr Foral was superb, as were all the staff and reception people, who all made me actually enjoy coming in - they now feel like friends. I should also add that the support staff at the Edmonds Swedish Hospital were outstanding from start to finish. It was a longish process, but I am grateful for the outstanding care I have received throughout what could have been a pretty miserable experience in other hands. I subsequently had to have the other ankle fused, and here again, everyone dod wonderful, careful work and follow-up. I'd rather have two functioning feet - but Dr Foral and Proliance Surgeons have given me new life. read more

I have seen Dr Seib at the Everett location for my back and had a really great experience. He listened, explained things well and took his time. I recommended Dr. Taylor and Dr. Seib. I then saw Dr. Foral at the Edmonds location and had the WORST doctor/patient interaction I've ever had. I was in such a great mood getting to that apt, ready to get some answers on why my foot was taking so long to heal. The resident accompanying her was kind and listened to my concern. She came in and was sharp, to the point and I even got a finger raised for interrupting her when I didn't want to forget my question as she was talking! As a nurse I know patients often leave apts and remember questions they forgot to ask. If a patient interrupts you so they don't forget their thought for god sakes that's ok! You spout the same script all day, this is our first time hearing this information! Even asking where the lab was seemed to irritate her, 'they'll tell you when they bring your papers' When the assistant came in after the doctor left I wanted so bad to ask 'is she always so friendly' I left that apt convinced I must have done something to really set this women off as she certainly didn't care for me much... I have worked with many physicians over the years and only a few could I see having such terrible bedside manner. I'm pretty easy going and don't have a high standard at these apts as I'm usually the one in her position giving patient care and know how critical patients can be but I felt compelled to give this review as the interaction has bothered me for a few days. I would not want any family members going to see this doctor and I will not be going back either. Seriously, it's not that hard to be kind and personable. read more

I would not advise anyone in conducting their business with this group. The admin group is a absolute S**t Show. Scatter brained, call center, their internet phone service does not work, then cuts out and drop calls, No follow up.. I was told to see Dr. Cameron and this group by another Proliance Surgeon Dr, Clark and co workers that used them, that was the worst information that they gave me. I spent almost a month in half trying to schedule a appointment with them, they lost my faxed medical information, them not paying attention who my previous surgeon was, struggled in getting my medical information that was sent numerical times to them. There was always a excuse from their management team. (Taylor and Debbie) The Dr's. have to know they have a Broken system in this office in the way they do business, I would be embarrassed. The final straw, that the Dr. called in sick the day of my appointment, the admin help moved it to another day but forgot to tell me that it was at a different location. Back to the admin staff being scatter brain screwed my appointment up and no communication of the other location. (The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing in this business and it shows). That they were trying to blame me for their faults in how the conducted themselves. One of the worst experiences that I have experienced. I will never do business with Proliance ever again over this. read more

Spent a week calling every day to try and get an initial appointment from this place. Each time I was met with a rude lady. Each time it was a different reason why they couldn't schedule me. I faxed my paperwork multiple times. They said they lost it. Faxed again they said they're behind on paperwork. Faxed again and they said they didn't receive it and try again. Why would I want you to work on me when you can't even handle the basics? So terrible. read more

I had several appointments with this office. In my experiance the physician did a poor job of answering questions. Implying it was too complicated for non doctors. I also had a ghost bill show up months later. It appeared that they tried to bill the insurance company for treatments that were not performed. I would not recommend. read more

My primary doc referred me after MRI showed water on knee and an injury to chonrdral area of knee, amongst other findings. My knee was swollen, I couldn't bear wt on it either. Dr. Lee gave me a cortisone shot and drained it and said call me if it doesn't get better. It didn't get better, I called, 2 weeks later still no call back. I left feeling unheard, like a "number" with no real concern for my issues. I'm still looking for answers as to what is wrong with my knee. I'd NEVER come back...impersonal, unconcerned and factory physicians. read more

It seems they have a few doctors there that are quite valuable to patients but either they don't have enough staff to manage their phones or they have so much business they don't want to spend the monies on hiring brought staff to manage their phones but choose to hire a outside answering service to take their overflow of calls each day and they don't call back from the messages left for weeks at a time for hundreds of people who call each week. I'd say they have lost perspective and are financially letting the patients take the hit at their time of great need so they can save x amount of dollars hiring the staff they need or figuring out a true solution to a problem that has been going for an extended period of time. Everyone is looking how to make up the money they lost over Covid time. Maybe they have that mentality also. read more

I just called this clinic to get an urgent appointment for my wife with Dr. Wardle. She had called the day before about a foot problem, but didn't get a return call. Then overnight, the foot problem became a foot and leg problem. Whatever is wrong with her foot has now made its way to her hip. She could barely walk before and now she can't walk at all. When I called this morning to see if they could squeeze her in, I was told that she had been sent to collection in 2015 (six years ago) for about $200. It turns out that was true. It was my wife's fault that the original bill hadn't been paid, so we aren't disputing any of that. She subsequently paid the bill and it has been cleared up for years. It turns out that because of that $200 the clinic won't take her back as a patient. By the way, she originally saw Dr. Wardle for surgery on her foot which means the clinic would have gotten thousands of dollars from the insurance company. Whatever her medical problem is seems to be very serious and getting worse. Apparently it doesn't matter how bad it is. I was told I could call around to other clinics and see if we could get in. Nice. I guess that's the way healthcare is these days. If you don't pay what they ask as soon as they ask, good luck - even if you're dying. I'm old enough to remember when healthcare providers actually put healthcare first. I don't think (just guessing) that this policy is coming from Dr. Wardle directly, although he would certainly be part of the policy decision making team. I actually think it is something the business office is doing on its own. But like I say, that's just a guess. The important thing for prospective new patients is, don't get behind on payments to this clinic - and whatever you do, don't let anything go to collection! The entire focus of this clinic seems to be making money, which in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing. But it seems that healthcare in this clinic is just a means to making money and patient care is only secondary. read more

My surgery was scheduled in three days' time (Edmonds orthopedic center) Edmonds Washington ... when the governor stopped all surgeries in our state ... Friday, Feb. 12th. a message was left that they could schedule me for the following Tuesday for my surgery .... of course, I tried to call them back right away .... no answer .... just the answering service who also could not get anyone to answer the phone in the office ... after trying all day and never getting through or receiving a call back I got to worry all weekend if I was going to get my surgery or not ... I called the minute they opened on Monday .... you guessed it .... no answer again went to the answering service .... looks like I will need to start all over again in finding a surgeon whose office will actually answer their phones .... it does not matter how great every doctor and nurse is if you can not get their office to communicate with you .... but they really don't need me to survive ... The kicker ..... They Know their phone service is very poor and won't fix it .... read more

In the 44 years of seeing doctors... this was the first time that I was seen on time. My appointment was at 2:30 and they called my name at 2:30 and by 2:40 I saw my doctor. The office staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I am seeing Dr. Lee, whom I met for the first time, who has a great bedside manner. First impressions really drive recurring business and I can tell you that Edmond's Orthopedic Center has something working the way a medical practice ought to. WELL DONE! read more

I do not know where to start. This place is amazing. Always on time, everyone very helpful and passionate to make sure their patients will heal. Everyone shows a lot of empathy and it seems the staff feels my pain after total knee replacement surgery. Glenda works mostly with me and she is nothing short of a miracle worker. Terrible terrible terrible. Referred here by the ER. The dr spent literally 5 min with me. Said "at least you can walk" and then let's wait for insurance to approve an MRI. Called a week later and they claim they called me the same day I came in for the appointment to schedule the MRI. Say the left a message but can't tell me the time (they didn't leave a message). Conveniently today they have only 1 dr on staff and the dr I saw is out for the next week. Fucking ridiculous. read more

What can I say? My regular physician looked at my knee and claimed I had a sore knee.... I knew it was more than just sore but she wouldn't prescribe me an MRI (probably in cahoots with the insurance company to keep cost down so they'd get a bigger kick back) but she did refer me here. I met Dr. Lee and explained everything and he said lets do an MRI.... THANK YOU! The results showed a meniscus tear and we decided on surgery. Of course... you know how it goes. You tell people about an upcoming surgery and they start telling you all about their friends and relatives that had the same surgery and now they are lame... or crippled, or amputated, or dead..... yadadada. Let me say this. Dr. Lee and this company (surgery right downstairs) did an outstanding job. This was my first surgery and it was really a piece of cake. They answered all my questions, made me feel at ease, and followed up nicely. I can honestly say that my knee felt better 3-4 days after surgery than it did prior and is only getting stronger by the day. I would highly recommend. read more

"Should I be using crutches?" "Yeah, maybe." "Should I go to the gym?" "If it hurts your knee, don't do it." These were the types of responses I got from Dr. Lee while being seen for debilitating knee pain in the same joint I'd had an ACL rebuild on 20+ years ago. Not even the usual handouts about how to take ibuprofen, ice & elevation, etc. Thank God for the internet to do my own research. I got a bit more info from him during the MRI review but not much - i.e. I have a choice between just treating the arthritis and degeneration or an arthroscopic procedure, but no real discussion of why to pick one over the other. Maybe Dr. Lee is more enthusiastic for sports rehab cases rather than geriatric, I don't know, but I was glad to find the same doctor who did my excellent ACL repair is still working in Seattle (Dr. Jonathan Franklin). NOTABLY the medical records person at Edmonds Ortho said that EDMONDS ORTHO IS NOT DIGITAL, WHICH MEANS MY EXPENSIVE MRI CANNOT BE BURNED ON A CD. Would've been nice to know that before opting to have the imaging done there - DON'T ASSUME PORTABILITY OF IMAGES!!! The support staff - especially the imaging techs - were very nice, A+ to them. read more

A hugh disappointment. I had a RTKR on 10/4/16. I spent a lot of time visiting PT businesses in the area prior to my surgery. I call after my surgery to set up outpatient PT and encountered a very unfriendly and rude individual who point blank stated they had NO openings until mid December. A total knee is a priority and not an after thought. read more

Dr. Lee is one of the best sports medicine orthopedists out there. He is a surgeon who is not always looking to do surgery, HUGE in this day when there are so many other options!
