Hello everyone, First of all, I am a cancer survivor my…read morename is Zouhair Mardini and here's my story. I am a resident of City of Snohomish Wa, and this statement is way past due, a year and a half ago, I discovered a lump over my right upper chest, I somehow thought I may have injured myself and that it would go away. Within a couple of months, that thing swelled up to become a 10 pound tumor, like normal, I didn't think that this would ever happen to me. So, I went into severe depression and non-acceptance, and I was terrified, and I landed at Dr.Costas's office. I truly think the angels have placed me at her clinic, she took over with lots of speed, took charge of me, within a few days she operated on me, I believe the surgery took around 10 hours and that she removed around 10 pounds between tumor's and ribs. I opened my eyes and here she was with her even smile and incredible personality, the kind of smile that makes you feel at ease, and a personality that makes you feel like you're going to be okay. I have never in my life met someone who is so caring, so professional ,so amazing, and knowledgeable at what she does. Her office is so thorough, her staff is so kind, as a matter of fact I look forward to visiting her office because I feel safe, I can't begin to say thank you to Dr.Costas that she has saved my life. I don't know any other word better than thank you, my family and friends they all thank Dr.Costas, I think we are the lucky ones that we have Dr.Costas in our county. I have never met someone with that kind of profession so quick to act. It has been a little over a year and every 6 months I have to visit Dr.Costas for checkups, for the second time she turns from her desk with a smile and looks at me and says " Mr. Mardini you are cancer free." . It's music to my heart and its like an angel talking to me, I so appreciate you Dr.Costas, and I do have two daughters and I hope someday they'll become just like you. Mardini

This is the first time I've rated a physician. I've never had stellar healthcare that urged me to…read morewrite. But I had to share with others, especially breast cancer patients, about this phenomenal radiation oncologist I met. He was recommended to me by another doctor when I was struggling with some treatment decisions. That referring doc said Dr. Hunter was the smartest doctor he'd ever met. I agree wholeheartedly. Just weeks after my diagnosis of Stage IIIB breast cancer, I was still in a state of shock and chaos. By that time, I had consulted with at least 20 various oncologists at two different cancer hospitals. I was worn out from being bombarded with information, some of which were questionable or conflicting. So, I really needed someone to make sense of it all for me and help me clear my head. Dr. Hunter is a "data" guy. I love that because not only am I data-inclined, it's kind of critical when you're about to do crazy things to your body to beat the cancer. He spent well over an hour and a half getting to know me, understanding where I was coming from, and where I wanted to go with treatment. He took great care to explain the what, why, how, when of diagnosis and treatment backed by data and his knowledge of ongoing research. I didn't choose him to be my RADONC solely because I chose SCCA as my provider for overall care, but I was so thankful for the time spent with him. Fast forward 9 months after chemo and mastectomy and I found myself back in his office. I was conflicted about proton vs. photon therapy and he spent another hour with me explaining his recommendation. He prepared thoroughly for our visit by reviewing all of my records to date and he even called two other top RADONC's in the nation to get their opinions on my case as well. He gave me a complete picture of my case starting with diagnosis to chemo response to mastectomy results and reassured me that going with photon radiation would be a sound decision. I had not gotten this kind of recap of my care and progress or this kind of reassurance in how well my health has improved from my own set of doctors at SCCA. As much as I'm thankful for my doctors, Dr. Hunter truly goes above and beyond. I wish I would've gone with him even if he's not in the SCCA network, but the consultation time and money I've spent with him are golden. Seeing him is a must if you are gathering information and trying to choose doctors.

No option to speak with a live person. Would take days to get a return call- if you missed the call back, no option to just call back- have to call and start all over again leaving name/number and wait days AGAIN for a return call. When I did finally get a return call and was able to speak with someone, they said they were short handed, so they are very behind in returning calls. Ever heard of temp services? The appointment I was trying to make was for a family member- I myself would not want to have to deal with Seattle Breast Center for my own care- the frustration and stress of having to play phone tag and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. for a return call to get medical attention would be too much. Extremely poor patient care services.

Cancer is a horrible disease with no regard for who you are or what you have accomplished in your life. I found Dr. Chue after visiting with 6, yes 6, different oncologists, including flying across the country to visit not 1 but 2 major cancer hospitals. I did my own research, YOU MUST BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE WHEN YOU FIND OUT YOU HAVE CANCER. I did so much research that it became my my only focus for months while healing from a surgery so I could begin chemo. All of the other hospitals and Drs I met with were so focused on the algorithms and making me part of their study that I doubt they actually heard me. From the moment I met Dr Chue, he listened to me and spoke to me like I was the only patient he had. ( I CERTAINLY WAS NOT) I wanted to survive, my cancer was bad! I listened to him as he spoke with compassion. He was honest about my cancer. HE TOLD ME TRUTHS - EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT BODY, CANCER AND TREATMENTS AFFECT PEOPLE DIFFERENTLY! Hard to hear those words but I appreciated the truth! After 6 oncologists, I picked Dr. Chue! He did not promise me I'd survive, he said we'd fight it as long as I wanted to fight. He told me it would not be easy. He told me not everyone wins the battle, bodies are different and people react differently! I'm beyond grateful, I just don't know if it would have been possible for me to win the battle had it been any Dr other than Dr Chue! I'm now 6/7 years out. When I say it's a miracle, it truly is! I know that not everyone has such a successful result but one thing I do know is that Dr. Chue is an ANGEL in a HUMAN BODY! God put him on this earth to be ahead of his time and to have more compassion than any Dr I have ever known. His knowledge is immeasurable! Thank you Dr. Chue and thank you to his staff for your boundless knowledge and thank you for giving me more time on this earth!

My husband has Stage 4 esophageal adenocarcinoma. 6 months ago he had metastases in his abdomen and groin, and his "numbers" were going up. 6months later he is in remission with NED (no evidence of disease) and the metastases are gone! And, except for a little controlled and controllable diarrhea, it was painless! Dr Chue has a wonderfully talented and skilled supportive staff that works together to help the patient heal, including the wonderful nurses who administer the infusions. I can't recommend Dr Chue and Lifespring highly enough!!!
