Highly professional, knowledgeable, fair pricing. I wouldn't go anywhere else for HVAC services.

They damaged the gas line to our furnace when installing a new AC unit, resulting in a gas leak. We smelled the gas, and had one of their technicians out to take a look, who swore nothing was wrong. Called the gas company, who identified a large leak and shut off the gas/tagged the unit for repair. Upon calling Evercool back to request repair, they were very defensive and unprofessional, and we finally said forget it, we'll call someone else, whereupon they hung up on us...after a grand total of 3 minutes. It also turns out they made several errors with the install and we had to hire another hvac company to fix it. Yes, it was under warranty. No, we did not trust them to do it right. 100% do not recommend. read more

Jeff and Gavin came out to finish installation work. We explained the issues we had with Marc. Jeff apologized for our previous negative interaction with Marc. Jeff and Gavin went straight to work. We now have working heat and A/C. Thank you Jeff! read more

Jared was absolutely amazing. What a quality employee, from his thoroughness to technical skills and expertise. Exemplary in all areas! (visit was 7/9/25 in Fairfax Station) read more

Great business. The owner Jeff personally handle our installation and did a phenomenal job. He listen to the problem and work with us on the installation time and date. He also addressed all of our concerns. We recommend this business for others. read more

Amazing service and education from Jeff. I called this company as a second opinion from what FH Furr was telling me. And I'm glad I did. Was only an induction motor issue and right sizing the flue pipe. Furr tried selling me a whole new system when we didn't need it. Beware of Tyler Skidgel from FHFurr. He completely mis-diagnosed our system issue. And tried to upsell everything. We cancelled all of our services with Furr and will be using Evercool. I found Jeff 10-times more trustworthy than my experience with Furr...for both this service and other plumbing services. Thanks for giving me some faith in the industry. read more

I have had a contract with Evercool for quite a few years now for them to provide annual maintenance on my air conditioning and heating system and I have extremely satisfied with the service. I also have had to replace my A/C and heating system and my water heater. In each case, they were very prompt, did not oversell. and had the jobs done in no time at all and at a good price. The technicians were professional, courteous, and did an excellent job. I would have no reservations in recommending Evercool. read more

They clearly had an agenda to sell me a new unit, even though the damaged part on my current unit was still under warranty. When they called to discuss repair options they told me that it was code to replace the electric box and wires at the same time as making the repair - this is absolutely not code and they admitted this later in the conversation when I called them out on it. Not trustworthy, stay away. read more

I recently (June 2021) used Evercool because of the good reviews from people in my condo community. I was assured that this business had the best value for their service and was honest and reputable. None of this was my experience with them. The technician Jeff Snyder said that my unit was 1-2lbs low on coolant and that in addition to the $110 service call fee I would have to pay $140 per lb for the R22 coolant. He said I would be looking at $500 for the service. After I corrected his calculations and stated that 2lbs of coolant at a $140lb and the $110 service fee came to $390 not $500, he agreed and I agreed to let him add the coolant. He confirmed afterward that my unit required the full 2 lbs because I asked in hopes that it only needed one lb. I thought no problem. BUT as I'm about to write the check for the $390, Jeff gets on his cell phone's internet and then states the cost of the coolant is now $195 per lb. I knew on the spot that I was being price gouged but as a female home alone at the time I was not about to argue with him in my condo. The price increased 28% AFTER he put the coolant in my unit. It's no coincidence that the total cost of his service was now $500 which is what he wanted in the first place. He didn't even diagnose where the leak was that caused the unit to need a more coolant. I searched the internet after he left only to find that the cost to the end consumer for R22 was in the $90 to $140 range. He was already charging the high end of the going rate before he decided to tell me the price was $195 after he put the coolant in my unit. A company can charge whatever they want for a product or a service. HOWEVER, you don't change the price after the service is completed because you think you can. That's DISHONEST! And to add insult to injury, during a very friendly conversation before he performed the service, I asked him if he were an owner of Evercool to which he replied "no that he just worked for the company for almost 20 years". He even advised that I call the company later in the fall to get better pricing on a replacement unit stating that the "company" (not he) could provide better pricing during the off-season. The next day I called to speak to management to complain about their technician's unethical price change after service was completed and was told that Jeff Snyder is an owner of this Family owned business! Why did he feel the need to lie about something like that? This speaks to his character and lack of integrity. Think about that before contracting with this company. Jeff Snyder's dishonesty was for an extra $110 when he could have had my business for years to come and probably a new unit purchase with more referrals. I'm sure that would have been worth much more. I don't and won't miss that $110. This whole experience has made me a smarter and much less trusting consumer. The silver lining in this is that I will do my homework and become much more knowledgeable before allowing anyone in my home to service anything. I recommend that the buyer BEWARE. I would NEVER do business with this company again. read more

"Evercool is one of over 20 companies that can install and maintain residential heating and air conditioning units in Alexandria, VA. This company was recommended by my neighbors. I recommend using any one of the other companies rather than Evercool. The Evercool staff, from owner to installers, were very professional and responded on time. However, their initial estimate was incorrect, they installed the incorrect furnace in my home, and the new air conditioning unit required major repairs before actually cooling my home. This is NOT a professional company. Please don't listen to their sales pitch, call another company that actually can deliver what you are paying for." read more

They were quick to troubleshoot the problem and fixed my HVAC. They were friendly and answered my questions, but didn't seem too interested in chatting if not prompted. They did the job they were hired to do, and showed up within the window they agreed to do it. I am satisfied with the work. The thing that prevents me from giving anything higher than 3-stars is that they came into my garage, found my hose, hooked it up, and used it without asking me first. The last repairman had the decency to ask first before using my tools. Then they came inside my house and used my bathroom without knocking or asking. I was upstairs, I came down and saw one of them walking out of my house after flushing the toilet. Most repair men ask before coming into the house, and also ask to use the toilet. No prob, but don't assume you can just go into my garage and use my things, and walk into my house and use my toilet. Have some respect! I hired you to fix something at my house but that doesn't give you the right to use my things or give you free reign on my property to go wherever you want while you're here. read more

I was having problems with my AC. I called and Ever Cool made an appointment for me within 24 hours (during the business week/business hours). Evercool's been our go-to HVAC techs for about 17 years, now. They've installed and serviced our hot water heater and HVAC systems. We've always had good service from this team and honest advice/recommendations, with never any impressions that we weren't getting our money's worth. We'll continue to retain their services for as long as we're within their service area. read more

Honest. I had condensation leaking down along my walls from ducting in the attic. I was told that insulating the ducting would not solve the problem but an attic fan would. I was pointed to the correct contractor. I'm very pleased that he did not lie to me about the issue so he could make money. I will definitely call them in the future. read more

We had an amazing experience with Evercool. They came out quickly to provide an estimate and worked with our schedules to do the install. We had to wait a few weeks, but that was due to it being May and everyone getting new ACs installed. We received honest advice with no BS. We had Home Depot come in and do an estimate and they never even bothered to do the follow up quote they promised after their initial quote was so much higher than Evercool. We are very happy with the service we received! read more

Evercool has been my HVAC service company since 2013. They are professional and efficient and always treat my house with respect. The work area is always neat and tidy at the end of the service. They take time to explain any issue and make the repair quickly and economically. Even when it is just the seasonal checkup they take the time to ask if I have any concerns about the heating or cooling in order to make suggestions to improve my level of comfort in the house. And they went above and beyond to point out an unrelated issue: while working on my outdoor unit in an area of my yard I don't routinely see, an Evercool mechanic noticed there was an unexplained drizzle of water on the foundation. I tried to find the source and soon discovered a water leak in my walls before there was serious damage. read more

I'm a general contractor and have been using Jeff Snyder as my H.V.A.C. contractor for years. I'm amazed at how ethical he is. I had one client who had rust on his unit and he replaced it free of charge, since it had a lifetime warranty. 2 days ago he moved 2 A.C. units and warned me to change the breakers in the panel because the existing breakers we're to big for the wires being used. There also was a bare wire coming out of the wall that was live and it sparked when I moved it. He told me shut the breaker off and put tape over it. It turned out to be a 240 circuit. He is the guy I depend on to make sure I don't put my customers in harm's way. read more

I've been using Evercool services for about a year and a half, and every single time I am impressed with their level of customer service and support! It's hard to find a company that's as responsive, honest and friendly as Evercool. I had an ongoing problem and had other technicians come through but never really solved it, until finally I found Evercool. They not only solved the issue, they explained it clearly and provided honest recommendations for future maintenance. I could not be happier to work with them! Shout out to Jared! Highly recommend! read more

This is an outstanding locally owned and operated business!!!! I can't say enough good things about them. They were incredibly responsive. When my hot water heater breathed its last breath on a holiday weekend with guests in town, they actually came out to help revive my system long enough to keep everyone clean and happy until a new HWH could be installed a couple days later. On the install day, they arrived early, got straight to work and had us up and running with a new system in about 1.5 hours for hundreds of dollars less than their competitors. they were friendly and professional the entire time and took the extra time to answer questions and make sure we were happy with their work. I won't be calling anyone else for any heating or cooling needs. These guys are the best!!!!! read more

After getting an almost $1000 quote to replace a $150 part, I called Evercool for an estimate. Before the appointment they called to ask for the model and serial #'s of my a/c unit and said they'd bring the part and could provide an estimate before they came. The estimate was well under what the original company and what another company quoted. Long story short they replaced the part in under an hour just before the weekend where it was going to be over 90 degrees all weekend. Love this company and will use again! read more

When it comes to having a repair done in my home honesty and professionalism are at the top of my list. Several years ago we had a:c problems. One company in the area was recommended. We called them. They came out and said the entire unit needed to be replaced. About $7000.00. Not having that available I called a friend and he recommended Jeff of Evercool. Jeff came over checked the entire system and said I had a bad circuit breaker. He replaced it for about $40.00. The a/c worked fine for several years. When s repair was again needed Jeff gave me a great price. Last week our hot water heater stopped working. Called a company and they came out and gave me a quote of almost $5000.00 to replace it. Called Jeff at Evercool. He replaced it with the same unit for less then half. In the future he will be my first call. read more

Our furnace was the original one and more than 23 years old. Before anything major happened to it during cold winter months and we needed to make an emergency call and get charged for an emergency service, we decided to have a new one installed. The owner of Evercool provided us with an estimate and told us we could get a good deal during his "down time period" in Feb-March. We made arrangements with them, they arrived promptly, did a great job on the install, explained things to us afterwards and the heat was one in less than 5 hours. And as promised, Evercool gave us a good deal on the new furnace. Evercool will be our service provider from now on. Thanks Evercool. read more

Originally had another company look at our leaking HVAC and that company missed 2 major issues. Evercool was available to come out the next day. We have used Evercool for residential HVAC for ~10 years and have been extremely satisfied. This spring they installed a new American Standard unit and our experience with from the original quote, scheduling, installation was 100% positive. Compared to other larger regional firms we've used in the past--we HIGHLY recommend this small company where the owner Jeff Snyder trains and works with his employees to ensure the quality and customer experience is perfect. read more

I decided to wait two years after the job to rate this company, to see if there were any serious problems. Their tech installed a new condenser unit and coil. After cutting the copper feed line to remove the old condenser and install the new one, he didn't have or didn't use couplings to reconnect the feed line. Like a typical hack, he sloppily soldered a new length of line between the cuts. I knew right away that was subpar work, but the owner explained it away saying "we're a small company and..." In other words, he's not big enough to afford quality help. And I am supposed to accept that. That's not an excuse; typical hacks infest all of contractordom regardless of size. It should have been redone. Ok, it's working well so far, but if I had obtained a county permit and inspection, the install would have been failed. Here's the result regardless of whether the soldered joints never crack and leak: I will never call this company to service my HVAC for the life of the unit. And from here on, I will obtain county permits for major systems. read more

Jeff and his company were recommended by friends for a compressor and furnace installation. I appreciated the straight talking punctual owner who quickly went to work on an estimate. Impressive work habits coupled with a superbly knowledgeable and efficient crew did not disappoint; quality work throughout. Jared was superb, focused on meeting and exceeding the customer's expectations. His cheerful, can do attitude and expertise were amazing and definitely contributed to my 100% overall satisfaction. read more

I am so happy to recommend Evercool. I used another company for many years, found on Washington Consumer Checkbook decades ago, and the service degraded to where it became a complete ripoff. So I checked Checkbook for updated recommendations and found Evercool. On their first visit, 2 Evercool technicians spent 2 hours just cleaning things that hadn't been cleaned in all of those years! (The old company was in and out in 15 minutes for routine maintenance, and they failed to accurately diagnose problems which ended up costing a lot due to their errors.) Evercool's annual maintenance contract covers things other companies don't cover, and I have received terrific value by having an annual maintenance contract. I've been under contract for 2 years, and the service has been consistently excellent! On time, capable, prompt, polite, everything. Thank you Evercool! read more

We had a great customer experience with Evercool. Based on a recommendation from a neighbor, we had them install a new a/c system-air handler in the attic and condenser outside. The owner, Jeff Snyder, who is an a/c expert, came to house, did a thorough evaluation, and made a very competitive bid. Once the hot weather went away, Jeff and his installation crew came and did an oustanding job to include making changes in the attic that increased the accessibility to the attic air handler. Everyone that we came in contact with at Evercool was professional, responsive, and patient. Check them out. read more

Had Evercool replace our HVAC system complete back in 2006 - had 3 contractors out and Evercool was clearly the most knowledgeable and was priced fairly. On the scheduled day they arrived on time and went immediately to work completing in just 6 hours. was hardly aware of their presence and they left our place cleaner that they had found it. Immediately felt more comfortable in all the rooms in the home. Since then we have had them maintain the unit - no problems with anything. Also they have done 3 home in our neighborhood and half a dozen close friends in the area. The feedback is always the same - professional, clean, on time and fixed the first time. read more

I've used Evercool twice now and both times they were excellent. The first time was to replace my furnace and air conditioning unit back in Jan 2016 and that system is running great. He actually walked me through the whole purchase and told me I didn't need to get a more expensive system (that another company wanted me to buy) because it wouldn't really improve my system due to the age and ducting in my house. He moved the system for me, replaced several outdated items, got all the permits done, and had everything signed off with no problems. Jeff Snyder was honest, straight forward, and trustworthy. I did my research and obtained quotes from 5 different companies. Jeff didn't try to sell me something I didn't need to make money, he sold me the right system for my house. Now my heating and cooling system is much quieter, more efficient, doesn't run all the time, and has saved me money on monthly utility bills. After that great experience I decided to use Evercool to replace my water heater last month. Again, he came out to the house, we talked through it all (honest and straightforward as usual), his quote was comparable to others, I looked up the water heater he wanted to use (which had great ratings), and had him install it. His technicians also updated all the venting, some pipes, installed a expansion tank, and cleaned up the area where the heater was placed. Additionally because I trust his advice, I had his technicians install two UV lights in my heating/cooling systems and updated the programmable thermostats. A couple of days later there was a leak (which happens sometimes in any situation); Jeff and two of his technicians ran out to my house within hours and fixed it right away. He's got a great attitude and his technicians have the same pride in doing the job right. I would highly recommend Evercool to my friends and have done so on several occasions. I will use them again in the future. read more
