My technician was friendly, professional, and clearly communicated his arrival time within the scheduled window, which I really appreciated. He walked me through everything he was doing and explained his recommendations thoroughly. my After he left, I did notice that my AC wasn't cooling and was just blowing room temperature air. I gave them a call, and it turned out the unit hadn't been fully reconnected. The technician gave me a clear window for his return, came back promptly, and fixed the issue quickly. Great service overall, and they definitely have my business moving forward!!

I found Rapheal P. from Donmar to be easy to work with, the prices were reasonable, and he didn't try to pressure me into buying extra services. I would definitely recommend Donmar/ Raphael! Rest in peace little field mouse.

A Action Review A…read moreAction is competent and punctual, but they tend to mislead about costs and overcharge compared to others in the area. We first used them for an issue with our AC because they are 5 minutes from our house. The tech was pretty straight-forward about diagnosing and repairing the broken motor. The only weird thing was the dude went around our house when we weren't looking putting their A Action stickers on several of our appliances, as if they were the ones that installed all of them. I had to go peel all of the ugly stickers off of things like our washing and drying machines and plumbing fixtures. The first experience was fine, so when the AC was on the fritz a year later we called them again for a repair. The tech comes out and says the motor capacitor is broken. He quotes us $500 to replace it with a "high-performance" capacitor. Then when the work is done, bills us for $900. "Well, the $500 was just for the parts. The final bill includes diagnosis and labor." For a 45-minute visit. I checked online after and we could have had the same generic part delivered to our house 3 days later from a local supplier for $55. I get that there is a premium for having the part on the truck to fix it right then and there, but a 1,000% markup for a stock part that I can replace myself is over the top. We called them again for an estimate on a new plumbing installation. We get told estimates are free. The tech shows up and looks over the work that needs done. Then he says we owe him $100 before he leaves. "I thought the estimate was free?" "It's for the diagnosis, not the estimate." Then they never even got back to us with a quote for the project. We'll look elsewhere from now on. We've worked with other licensed techs in this area for less money that are just as professional and responsive and don't change prices on you after the fact.

I requested an estimate for the installation of an EV charger. Unlike other electricians, AirPlus…read morerequired a $185 fee in order to provide the estimate. When I pressed them on this, they said that the $185 would be deducted from the final bill *in the event that I chose them.* Of course, this would put me as a customer in an awkward position; they could give me a much higher estimate than others, and effectively strong-arm me into accepting because I've already spend $185. I've worked with many electricians and other contractors, and I have never seen this before. AirPlus may have a good reason for doing this, but it seems shady and precarious to me. For this reason alone, I decided not to work with them. If you're considering working with AirPlus, I strongly recommend getting other estimates, as well. Not only *might* you save money on the actual work, but you most assuredly *will* save money by not having to pay for an estimate upfront.
