Came here late at night to try the Mini OG. Freshly baked to order in front of you. Crispy cone with a great pastry texture inside. Top it up with their soft vanilla ice cream. It was smooth and satisfying. No fooling around and it is indeed an OG. A ridiculously long list of flavor selections for you to choose from. Lovin' it! Fellow Yelpers, come here when you are craving late-night desserts! Recommended.

Very interesting concept for ice cream. The handmade "cones" are probably the highlight of the whole experience since the ice cream is not too different than the other places. Kids loved the ice cream and destroyed it in no time. My only issue is that the girl at the counter didn't use any gloves to prepare the chimney. That's concerning when it comes to hygiene. Didn't even notice it initially but it struck me as an afterthought after we left. The interior is a bit dim so it's best to enjoy the outside on a good day.

Eva Ice-cream is a must visit for all ice cream lovers. We tried the Dream Cone and Berrylicious flavours, both had distinctive and delicious flavours that were truly a treat for taste buds. What stood out to me was not only the incredible taste but also slow cooking of the cone to get perfect crunchy crust texture and generous filling. The ice cream is impressively light yet creamy. Highly recommended if you are dessert lover!

Was craving this! I live the mixture of cold ice cream and slightly warm chimney cones!! Tastes so good! Service wasn't too long! And place looks good!

Came here in the evening with a friend a few months back, and I recall waiting in a fairly long line to order. Although there was a bit of a wait, the cones were definitely worth it! I opted for the Berrylicious cone since I wanted something a bit healthier (hehe), and it was delicious! The only thing is that you will spill the contents of the cone on yourself if you don't eat it in a timely manner.

-Came here in 2022 while on tour from NYC and forgot to post my review. -I got the O.G. Both the chimney cake and ice cream on their own were top notch, but I wish I had gotten them separately or just the chimney cake. It was super messy and hard to eat while walking. The cake got soggy from the ice cream pretty quickly, lost all its freshness, and then allowed the ice cream to leak out and run down my hand easier. Also, it was way too much ice cream. The ratio of ice cream to cake was way off and it was just too much for a single serving let alone for one person to eat. -Service was good. Simple small space with counter service and nowhere to sit that I remember.

Instagramable ice cream! And I mean that in a good and messy way . The staff are friendly, fast and helpful. The Chimney cones are huge. The cones are freshly made every few minutes. When served can be slip warm. A marshmallow is at the bottom, then chunks like cheese cake and ice cream. The cheesecake was fantastic. Large chunks of cheesecake, strawberry coulis and ice cream. The Dream cone has crumbled Skor candy in the cone with Nutella and ice cream and brownie chunks. It was good, very sweet bit extremely messy. If you want your hand covered in chocolate get this. The cone is soft, not hard, it comes in a special paper wrapper which helps catch the deluge of sauce and melting ice cream. Even with the mess, it's fun to eat! It's take out only.

A must try for all ice cream and dessert fans. The cones are the best part when you come here. It's soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. My favourite is their Reese peanut butter ice cream cone. You get a good amount of nuts and peanut butter in every bite of the cone. Their mango coconut cone is a close second and has toasted coconut on the exterior of the cone. What would be nice is if they had more options for ice cream. A must try if you are in the area.

Eva's Original Chimneys is deliciously great!!! Once you enter the store smells like a bakery shop, that's because they bake their own Chimneys!!!!! Sweet chimneys, salty flavored chimneys they will have it! It is amazing to see how the hand roll and cook the chimneys, secret dough, then roll on yummy sugar and off to cook! You can see it all! Plus they use the wall for placing the chimneys! This is definitely an artisan dessert that needs to be preserved. Owners got the recipe from their Grandmother back in Budapest, Eva. There are so many choices, I love the Apple Pie Chimney. I am not a dessert person, but this dessert is totally worth the try. Recently baked chimneys, super friendly staff, and tons of choices of flavors, what else do you need?

4.5 I love chimney cones! It's pricey at $9 a cone, but it sure is delicious! They were at street eats this past weekend at Scarborough Town Centre (food truck festival outside the parking lot) - unfortunately just for the weekend, but fortunately I was able to attend!! The ice cream was delicious as always. Soft creamy ice cream with the crispy, dough-y sugar-y chimney cone. My favourite flavours are the original (pictured), as well as the matcha. I've also tried the berry compote flavour. Got the classic cone and was not disappointed. The way the cone is prepared is super authentic to its Hungarian heritage, and the taste is unbelievably good. It's very pricey though...$9 a cone - YIKES. This is what makes it lose a star for me. However, they are definitely one of my favourite ice cream places in Toronto! Hope they'll be opening some more uptown pop ups throughout the fall! It's an awesome treat to enjoy.

I have basically been coming here for 2-3 weeks straight, so clearly I have a problem... LOL And I come with at least 2 or 4 people each time... so its always a party! But seriously (I have) ... I usually go with their 'twist' of vegan vanilla soft serve & strawberry yogurt. Its perfect balance of sweetness and light airy texture doesn't make me feel guilty eating them in large cups, so I also add the salt caramel sauce I've bought the vegan cake separately (which is a larger version of their cone with no filling) & really enjoy it with coffee They ALSO have Beyond the Meat vegan burgers available - via their in-store Big Poppa's coaffiliate. Also ordered a couple of these at another visit & can attest they are great toppings & patties! Prepare to line-up but its a short wait - the staff are VERY efficient Note: Just after 2-3 weeks of nearly straight day visits, I just realized they have a membership! So I'm now signed up & waiting for my next day there, which will be soon!

I feel like every culture independently arrives that the conclusion that fried dough and ice cream are a delicious combination, and here's a great place to explore that combination with many toppings and flavours!

What a gem! This bakery is tucked into the southeast corner…read moreof Yonge & College, and walking inside feels like stepping straight into Japan. The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife wanted to go there so we went on 2023-01-31 mid-morning when there would more selection…read more They definitely have quite a selection of pastries and savoury food. My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
