Not once, but twice in two months does Early Bird Pluming come to my rescue!…read more I'm the property manager of a 14-unit apartment complex, in which 11 units get their water heated through a central system. The system was two giant water heater tanks that held 120 gallons of water each and weighted about 1,500+ pound filled. In early May, one of the tanks broke down and instead of storing water, was gushing water out of the tank nearly flooding the riser room where they are housed. The other tank just stopped working due to an faulty ignition error where the pilot would just not ignite the gas. I was able by sheer guess work to shut down the water and I called multiple plumbers, but none were available, seemed competent or even wanted the business. So I contacted the support number for the water tanks and they referred me to several nearby plumbing companies in Sacramento that were verified vendors. The one I picked was EMC Plumbing which is now called Early Bird Plumbing. The reason I picked them was because they had the best reviews out of the bunch. They sent a tech named Cody who was very personable and listened intently on what the issue was. After evaluating the situation and looking at the options Cody and his company provided, the best decision was to go with a tankless system. The one we decided to go with the Korean Navien brand as that's considered the best in the world. After the permitting was complete with the Sacramento city in one day, they got to work. And from the pictures attached to this review, you can just see the quality of the work and all the refitting of the pipes and fixtures that is not only functionally great but also looks great too! All this was done a within four days, which considering they retrofitted a whole new system that feeds hot water to 11 apartment units, is quite astonishing! Then just recently like yesterday as I'm writing this, one of my units had a ceiling leak and of course the plumber I contact was Early Bird and not surprisingly, all their staff was busy fixing a gas leak as good companies are always busy, but the owner Mike came out to personally help me. We found that as this apartment complex was built 10 years ago, it seemed as when they were building out the internal fixtures, one of the crew as they were screwing in a towel holder into the wall and ended up screwing into the hot water pipe too that eventually caused the leak! Fortunately, Mike was able to find this leak and got to work to fix it and it was done that day. It's rare to get one good experience with a vendor, but even more when it's twice in two months and this indicates that they are one of the best plumbing companies in the Sacramento area. I highly recommend them and with how hard it is to find an honest and competent pluming vendor, they should be your go to as well!

They sent me Mike, who listened to my request and brought 200 feet of length, he showed up promptly within the window allotted, and he fixed my clogged line quickly and efficiently. Mike was fantastic with his customer service, and his high-quality work! I really hope that he's rewarded for his hardwork, dedication, and performance with a nice bump to his pay!

There was a 1/3HP sump pump (with a plastic impeller) installed to convey water to a nearby drainage ditch. One January afternoon, my wife and I return home from trip only to hear the sump pump making crazy sounds. I investigated only to find the sump pump broke and had been spewing water into the crawl-space. The downside to having the vapor barrier was now the water couldn't seep back into the ground and was sitting on the plastic. I hired a restoration company who did a horrible job but eventually got the water cleared a whole other story), and I needed to hire a plumber to help me replace the broken sump pump and inspect the rest of the system. I reviewed several local plumbers and selected Jeff - firstly because he is a man of faith and I felt like I should be able to trust him. Jeff was responsive, a clear communicator, on time and did great work. I couldn't have asked for better. Additionally, I feel like he went above and beyond. He advised me on the kind of sump pump that would last longer and perform better (1/2HP with stainless steel impeller). This empowered me to compare with the 1/3HP & plastic impeller from various retailers and in the end I went with his recommendation. Jeff could have done what, in my experience, most contractors would do - buy the cheapest replacement and mark-up "materials" on the invoice. Instead, I purchased the sump I wanted and he replaced and tested it to ensure the system worked. I would do business with Jeff again and recommend him to everyone!

Just as before, 4 years ago with our dishwasher, he called back within hours and gave us an estimate and a a availability. We agreed and today Kyle was able to put the finishing touches on a bathroom remodel for us. New faucets which also meant replacing the 20+ years old valves. He was punctual, polite, friendly and got right to work. He would have been done sooner but we had to wait for the Waterheater people to finish. Gave us a chance to catch up. After messaging several handymen and competitive vendors in the Sacramento area, only Matt was available and could complete everything I asked for within the context of quarantine. Matt was very professional with communication, and wore shoe booties, gloves, masks, etc while taking care of my bathroom. These were all requirements for me, since I was very nervous about letting a stranger in my home during COVID-19. Matt brought different shades of white and alabaster to match my shower caulking, and was transparent with progress and any potential issues.
