I've only strayed from my regular nail salon, Bora Bora, once before Evan Nails, and I had been extremely disappointed and let down with the condition of my nails following having a full set removed. Naturally, then, I was skeptical to ever stray again, but the price of Evan Nails was calling out to me, so I just had to. Seriously, $20 for a shellac manicure is a steal! My usual place costs about $45 and, well, desperate times call for desperate measures! The interior is clean and the style is very diva-ish. This is not the place to come and unwind and relax! This is full of conversation, hustle, bustle, and obviously for ladies who are strictly there to get ready for their events and get on home...no problem there, but just be forewarned! I take off 1 star for the crowdedness and lack of genuine warmth by the staff. I was cared for by Ann, an older Asian woman who didn't speak much English, nor did she reply to a whole lot of what I had to say. I tried making conversation, but she probably didn't hear me or understand English. Interestingly, though, among the crowded manicure room, it was quite loud, so I could overhear a lot of people's conversations. A lot of the nail artists spoke perfect English without an accent, and that's something you don't find in a lot of nail salons, especially those that only charge $20 for shellac! I was near by shopping and I decided to try this place out. Not sure if it was because they were busy or they just didn't want to do it. I came in and asked for a mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. They sat me down almost immediately and started on my mani. Right after my mani they just asked me to pay. I was like hmmm ok.... I even mentioned that I needed a pedi and eyebrow wax but they acted as they didn't hear me. My polish on my nails looked streaky and I said something about that too. I didn't even get a response or an apology. Even another nail tech noticed my nails and still nothing. Again, not sure if it was because they were busy but that was no excuse. I really hesitate to give anything only one star, but my fingers are bothering me so much that I couldn't give it any higher. We went for a pre-wedding mani/pedi session with a group of about 8 girls. The bride booked in advance, and paid for all of us in advance of the work being done. This could have been part of the problem since there was no incentive to work for a tip. Both mani/pedi were done within 30 minutes. They cut one girls nail so short on the side that she started bleeding. The polish on my toes bled over onto the edges of my skin and I was the one who cleaned it up. They clipped the edges of my toenails down at an angle, which is bad for someone who has had ingrown nails in the past- it puts you at risk for developing them again. The manicure polish was streaky and they cut my cuticles so short they are raw and bleeding today, less than a week since I had them done. On top of all of it, the ladies were not friendly. I don't plan on putting my nails through all of that again, even if it only costs $25. Not worth it. read more

This place is by far the worse nail salon I've been too. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star I've given them. Let me just tell y'all that I was dissatisfied since the minute I walked in. As I was selecting the nail color I wanted, I asked the man in charge if they had "burgundy" and he proceeds n gives me a bright red polish, I looked at him and told him "no this is Xmas red not burgundy"! He takes the polish away, turns around and starts talking in Asian language. I should of just walked out then and there but I wanted to give them a chance. I am not from this area and was referred here. I came in for coffin nails. After I told the nail tech "Tran" how long I wanted them she started shaping them into the coffin style and kept getting them too crooked in which she had to cut them shorter. I did tell her everything I noticed on my jacked up nail job-with several nail techs to come up to look at them and all of them talking in their language. I did mention to her that my nails were not shiny, and were bumpy and not smooth. I could tell that she was getting frustrated with how dissatisfied I was. I should of just walked out without paying but I did not want to be on FOX News known as the Hispanic girl who walks out at the nail salon without even knowing why I would be walking out......... Overall, I was very disappointed with everything. Yes, I did leave and paid for their so called services, but immediately found a little hole in a wall nail shop down the street to remove them and got a whole new set, in which I love the way they came out- & they did have the burgundy shellac I wanted from the beginning. so with that being said- with my experience I would not recommend this place to any first timers. Skip this place. I've given this place 3 chances and every single time they herd customers through like cattle. They rush through everything and are more concerned with quantity than quality. I got a shellac manicure and the whole thing took about 20 minutes. The MEN that run this place are unfriendly and barely even speak, again, they herd you to the back and rush to get you started with the overworked women. I wouldn't be surprised if this place is shady and employing women like slaves. Before they're even done the men are coming by the work stations and rushing the whole thing along even more. These people have no concept of service, I'm surprised anyone goes here, this is the last time for me. I've given it so many chances and I either feel like they rushed me out or they didn't do a good job or that some of the technicians are rude. I've tried both acrylic and gel manicures and their pedicures and for the random times that I've decided to try it again I'm never happy with it anymore. Two days ago I went back and it will definitely been my last I got the WORST gel manicure I have ever gotten, it's lumpy and the gel is over my skin. I asked the technician to fix them since my nails had air bubbles in them and she kept leaving either pieces of cotton on them or would just make more bumps. On the day of the appointment I got there 5 mins late (my bad) but then the men at the front were forcing me to get a pedi. I told them no and they scrambled away. Finally after 10 mins of being there the lady I set the appointment with comes up to me and says that I was late. So then she said that it'll be another 30-40 mins. No ma'am, so I left.
