The bad news is that the nail tech performing the manicures refused to accept the word NO when told DO NOT CUT MY CUTICLES. Even after repeating this is not the service I want (cut cuticles), the nail tech acted like they were completely inconvenienced at the fact that they had to push cuticles instead of cutting them. Stupid me, i acquiesced and regretted it immediately. Another from the party had a manicure and not only was it extremely painful when the cuticles were being cut, the results were torn up skin around every single finger. Horrible work. Would never recommend, and will never return.

Roxanna is unprofessional, dismissive and apathetic. She does not respect you or your time, and doesn't own up to or fix issues that she creates. After waiting 6 weeks, I arrived at the salon on the day of the appointment, only to be told Roxanna was out of town. A staff member stated she would be back in the salon the following day, would be informed that I came in, and would then give me a call. When I didn't hear from her, I reached out to Roxanna in an attempt to reschedule the appointment. When I called, I heard Roxanna decline to take my call and instead ask the person speaking with me to take a message. I provided information, but she still never contacted me. I was ready to acknowledge that we all make mistakes, especially when we're busy, and thought Roxanna would simply apologize for booking an appointment for which she wasn't available and reschedule. Instead, she's been completely silent; I've not heard a word from her. What's particularly laughable about it is that she gives exact percentages of what you'll be charged if you don't show up for your appointment or even cancel it too last-minute. Apparently, however, if the roles are reversed and she's the one who doesn't show up, this is perfectly acceptable---her time is valuable, but your's (the client's) is not. Save your time and money, patronize a salon whose owner will show at least a modicum of decency and common courtesy. Roxanna and Desert Beauty fall flatter than a rain-drenched updo.
