The EVCS crew left a short while ago and I am pleased with the results. My install was somewhat complicated given my electrical panel and garage are on opposite sides of the house which required an attic run to complete. The guys identified an alternative path from what was originally planned that was simpler and more direct. After 2.5 hours, the installation was complete and looks great. Scheduling was a piece of cake and Karie, the owner, was pleasant to speak with and provided helpful information regarding code and installation considerations. EVCS handled the permit and the only thing left is city inspection and the arrival of my new EV. I had multiple electricians provide bids and was surprised to find but for a single outlier on the high side, they were all about the same cost. Differences between EVCS and the general electricians were EVCS required a permit and is familiar with EVSE whereas the general electricians were more like "Yeah, we can do that" and permitting was an afterthought (this despite being well regarded companies that in some cases advertised EV charger installations). All in all, I'm happy with the service from end to end. Scheduling, installation, friendliness of the crew and reasonable price. I'd not hesitate to use them in the future. Let's start off with communication was great, at first. The quote compared to others was decent. Zach (sp?), the installer, was phenomenal (would love to have him come back for future work). The follow up for payment was horrible. This company is limited to check, Zelle, or Venmo for payment for some reason, and I would assume cash, but not sure about that. I elected for the Zelle option, however, I was at my limits for Zelle transactions at the time, and needed to wait for the system to refresh. I clearly explained that I needed some time for THEIR choice of payment to refresh in order to pay them in full. Just short of questioning my integrity after just a couple of days, the person on the other side of the text gives this company a bad taste. The scheduling was ok, even though it needed to be adjusted a couple times; the install was great; but the harassment for payment was unnecessary, even more so, the questioning of my intent to pay and my ability to be "admirable". You are going to get the money for your service, that's how business transactions occur. You are now paid and we will likely never do business again due to your disrespectful tone and messaging. read more

EV Charging Solutions was contracted to install an EV Charger through Qmerit for us. They set an installation date for Friday the 22nd through Qmerit. Texted the morning of July 21st and confirmed through text that the installation was still a go for the 22nd. Later that day, they texted and asked to move the appointment to the following Friday, a date in which we weren't available, so they said they would just do the job on the 22nd as scheduled. They then texted back and said on second thought the 22nd won't work, we'll have to schedule it 2 weeks from now. Keep in mind, we have no way to charge our car at a decent rate and have been waiting for 3 weeks to get this job done. We have a 2nd plug that is tripping the breaker, we think the breaker is bad and purchased a replacement, so we just need an electrician to come swap the bad breaker out. So we asked for the inconvenience of bumping us another 2 weeks if they could send someone out to swap the breakers, as this would buy us 2 more weeks or however long they needed. They said it would cost us $120 bucks. We said, can you waive that fee since you are the ones who broke the appointment and are asking us to wait an additional 2 weeks. They then got upset and said they don't want the contract and sent it back to Qmerit, blaming us for not getting emails and other excuses, all while they never tried to contact us via any other means until they texted us on the 21st. Because of this, we now will probably have to wait at least another 3 weeks for another company to come do the job. Terrible and unprofessional company, avoid. read more
