I'm a retired BMW guy. I work on Vintage BMW motorcycles and own several BMW cars. I've taken my cars to other shops before. Yeah, they have a big shop with all the bells and whistles. They are interested in making the $$ as fast as they can. Shortcutting is part of the automotive industry to run cars in and just do the least amount for the greater $$. Working with individual shop owners has there advantages. One, you get to sit down with them and ask the question WHY this needs to be done. 2nd, you get a feel of the guy working on your car. Gearheads search out other gearheads. If you are new to the BMW world, you need to find the shop that speaks to you. Today I called Nathan up. about a service light. Got over to him this afternoon, he spent time going over what came up and gave me a ride in his car to feel the new suspension that he suggested for my car. My kids ride in my car! Nate is the man, honest, fast, and he will go the extra mile to get your car all synched up. He will go far in the car scene in az, its tough to find honest, and good mechanics to work on bmws. His pricing is extremely competitive as well, I'd say the best in the valley from what ive had done by many shops to my 335i. Nate did the valve guide seals on my 550i. My car came out perfect. He did an amazing job for a really great price. He quoted me $4,500 while other shops I considered going to were quoting me $7,000. I highly recommend going to him for any of your BMW needs, whether it be regular maintenance or more complex work. Customer service was great and they did an excellent job keeping me in the loop. They put a single turbo kit and a lot of other upgraded parts on my N55 for me, and it turned out amazing! Hands down best shop I've had any experience with. Needed to have my differential bushing replaced and the prices were very fair. Went here to get the clutch done on my E46 M3 and was impressed with how quickly it was in n out (1 day). Prices are very fair as well.
