I drove to this location a few months ago on a Wednesday morning and MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 8:30 am Thursday the next day to repair the odometer on my BMW x5. I got there with my husband put him in his wheelchair and rolled him into the office. The very kind gentleman who made the appointment the previous day, was there on Thursday, greeted us and helped us with the wheelchair. When we got into the office another guy said he would ask his top technician if the odometer was something they could service. He quickly returned and said they could not service my vehicle, after I made the appointment and explained to them that it needed the odometer repaired!!!! I wanted to do this review sooner, but I misplaced the business card but I found the card tonight so......... here's my review. This was an inconvenience to be turned away after getting out of my bed early and traveling with a disabled person. I could have gone somewhere else that day to get this done. This place is awful. Bought in my Audi A4 to get the door handle fixed and they did absolutely nothing. The handle sensor was broken and they did the diagnostic test and gave me a quote on how much it was going to cost to fix it. I went ahead and agreed to the repairs, but later that day they called and said it was going to be an extra $400 to order another part to fix it on top of the several hundred I already paid. Their initial diagnostic test did not say that this new part was broken at all and I had already spent so much money and time in the first place so I decided to take my car back. The sensor was still broken and they replaced the handle that wasn't even broken that is now factory grey. I have to spend MORE money to get it repainted to match the car. I also just found out that after the service all four of my handles don't work anymore. They did not include all the details or reasoning from the beginning on what they were going to do or even the accurate cost. Now I have an unmatched handle that doesn't work that I spent hundreds on and three other ones that don't work. Would have been so much better if I did nothing in the first place. read more

BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS SHOP Terrible Customer Service and left my brake line unsecured which was damaged by the rotor and caused my brakes to fail while stopping at a major intersection. The technicians claim I'm a liar, that they have no responsibility over the brake line while changing pads and rotors. They tell me my explanation is an impossibility. I almost died. I called back to speak to the manager after the technician hung up on me and the manager requested I bring the vehicle in, but hing up after I refused and tried to explain that he would really address he customer service with his employees. I'll have to adjust my rating just a little. I received a call from the company. They wanted to find out more about my experience and offered a refund of the $130 diagnostic charge they put to me on my original visit. They promised that their mechanic will better look into things next time. I gave them 1 star back for calling and refunding me the $130 diagnostic charge. But, I'm still concerned that their "experience" mechanic didn't bother to do a thorough check of my problem to begin with - especially when they charged me a $130 for the diagnostic (which can be applied to the bill when the job is done.) read more

So I went in to get my oil change. Asked if Rod the manager was in. The new manger said no. They take my car to the garage and so I waited until it got done. New manager JJ told me my car was done. I gave him a $50 off the next service card that I was given because of all the troubles I had had before (red light kept coming on after 3 times fixed). Anyway, he told me I couldn't use the $50 off card because labor wasn't involved. Um, what? No labor involved? They have robots in there now fixing cars? So obviously he didn't want to honor the discount. I told him why I received the card and that they should honor it. He finally said ok and was on the phone the whole time not really paying any mind to me. Yes, bad customer service, and this is coming from a manager. After he told me the bee total which cane out to over $70. I was calculating it in my head. Um, you gave me like $30 off, not $50 like you were suppose to. Obviously he thought I couldn't count or he just didn't give a crap about customers. I was a loyal customer for 3 years here. I will no longer go back because this new guy JJ disrespected me and didn't honor the whole $50 discount. He should be a telephone receptionist then a manager. Horrible manager skills for a European motor place. I am disappointed that he would do that to a paying customer. First he lied to me that the card couldn't be used. Then he charged me a different price then what it should have been. I didn't want to deal with him, so I left it alone. But I will Yelp about it and leave a review. Got towed in here with a dead starter. Rod the shop manager went above and beyond normal protocol for service. He was fair in price, answered all my questions ( I know a little bit about cars and ask a lot of questions) and even let me borrow a battery over the weekend to get mine replaced. i have dealt with 100's of mechanics and can smell BS from a mile away. These guys are straight up. They are now my new garage! read more

Well now, where do I start. First of all, I have read all of the Yelp reviews on European Motors and they certainly are a mixed bag. Here's my experience. I moved from NJ to Cumming, GA in 2009 with my 1984 Jaguar XJ-S. I took it to E/M in Alpharetta because the battery would not hold a charge. They discovered that a short in the trip computer was the problem. Voila. Scott Miller was the manager at that time. Over the next couple of years, I took the Jag back to E/M for various problems all which were fixed to my satisfaction. Scott Miller was always helpful, prompt and courteous. No problems with the Jag for a couple of years, as it is mostly garaged as a classic. The next time I called E/M, a new manager was in charge, Louis. Last year I called and left a message for Louis that I would like an estimate for some repairs. I did not get a return call. So I had them fixed at the Checkered Flag in Roswell on a friends recommendation. However, last December I called Louis for an estimate to replace the rack bushings in which he replied promptly, with an estimate, by Email. Fine. But when I emailed back with a couple of questions ie, what kind of bushings would he use and would the rack need re-aligning, I received no reply. Shoot fwd to March of this year, the week of Easter, I called Louis on 3 different occasions to tell him I was ready to bring in the Jag for the new rack bushings, but each time the phone was answered with "E/M please hold, which I did, but after 5 mins -10 mins with nobody coming back on the phone each time, I hung up. On Easter Friday I called one more time (they were closed) so I left a detailed message for them to call me for a date to bring in the Jag. No one returned the call. OK! Maybe E/M in Alpharetta didn't want any new business, maybe they were too busy, whatever. So, I decided to call E/M in Duluth to see if I could find where Scott Miller was.. And that's where the fun really began.. A very nice man named JJ told me he wasn't sure where Scott was, but perhaps he could help me. I explained exactly what had gone on previously, and, while he defended Louis vigorously, (explaining that the Alpharetta location was very busy) JJ welcomed me to bring the Jag in at 8am on Thurs Mar 30, I could wait for the repair or pick up later. However, he said he would get back to me to firm up the estimate that Louis had given me. He didn't, On Mar 29 I called again and this time got another nice man named Jay. I explained to him the situation, once again JJ now being vigorously defended by Jay (they were short handed with mechanics and JJ was running errands he usually didn't do.) as to why JJ had not gotten back to me. He assured me that if JJ said 8 o'clock Thurs morning, then bring the Jag in. Hmmmm! I said that was all very nice, but I would appreciate it if JJ could call me to confirm the date, time and estimate. Jay vowed JJ would call me. Guess what. He didn't. I started to get the feeling that I was a 'persona non gratis'. Perhaps the estimate that Louis had given me was too low, I don't know. But at least contact me back. Update: Found another service shop in my area that knows Jaguars. They replaced the old bushings with a polyurethane set w/o having to remove the steering rack. They purchased a special tool for $40.00 ( with no charge to me) which enabled them to do this. They also re-aligned the front end, all for about half of what the estimate was from E/M. Amazing. Needless to say they will get 5 stars from me. PS. Never did hear from anybody from E/M. . read more

Quick, and very affordable. I called them because Gwinnett Audi wanted $125 for an oil change and Jim Ellis wanted me to come in 2 days later. They got me and out in one and a half hours. The mechanic also advised on some good oil changing tips to keep my car alive longer. I definitely recommend this place if you drive a German Sports and need well price repairs and maintenance. read more

This shop began by taking the car in, determining the problem, and giving me an estimate of approx. $1000. When they got into the $1000 problem, they called with something else that they had found. This happened 4 times. It was always a "couldn't have been foreseen" explanation. I cut them off after spending $2500 when they found another problem what would have cost $3000+. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Brought my car in to be inspected because it was burning oil. They replaced my oil separator and charged me $567, and it did nothing to fix the issue. They also damaged my front bumper in 2 locations, and broke both front fog lights during the repair. I brought this to the managers attention and they admitted fault and promised to take care of me. They did set me up for a repair quote with the shop next door in the beginning of August, but have not agreed to repair my car or fix it since they received the quote. Apparently the shop manager doesn't have approval authority and it is sitting with his boss. This has been over 3 months and they still refuse to fix the car. We took our car here for repairs because of a noise the transmission was making. Paid $2100 for transmission to be replaced. Vehicle was returned and a couple of days later wouldn't shift into reverse and was worse than when we first took it. They've had the car for an additional week since dropping it off the second time and they still can't give me a time frame of repairs because of a claims adjuster with the warranty. Now the manager (Randy) is getting an attitude with me when I call and hung up on me and wouldn't pick up when I called back. This is my experience so far and I would not recommend based on this. Update: These people are crooks DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! After the above situation we paid to have another transmission shipped (from a place they told us to get it) Randy claims THAT transmission was also bad. I understand one transmission being bad but three from two different shops it's not a coincidence. After having our car for over a month 3 transmissions later and $2600 (because they charged us another $500 dollars for Labor again) we had our car towed to a different location. As it turned out they fried all the transmission due to bad installation. Also, they damaged the inside of the driver's side door the first time we brought it and agreed to pay for the damages and later recanted when we said we were going somewhere else for the repairs. We brought our car for a noise and got back a car that did not run and will have to pay another shop for repairs. Randy and the people here are thieves! These guys are ELITE. They are going to love or hate me for this review. I have a 1998 Volvo S70. If you have a Volvo and you want it fixed, (patched, repaired, band aided, or whatever,) take it to European Motor Cars. Jay is the MAN. He sincerely and genuinely cared about me and fixing my car throughout my entire experience. When I towed my car onto their lot he was IMMEDIATELY involved. He appeared right out of the garage as I walked to the office and asked about my car. He fixed my car. I then toke it home, screwed up while washing it because I hosed down the engine, and towed it back. JJ and Jay went as far as to correct me just enough to say "don't do that to your car". It was a "Yes, dad" moment. My Volvo is seventeen years old with 148,000 miles, recently repaired, and running as well as expected. They made three (3) repairs to my car: replaced head gasket, heater core, and spark plug coils, to the tune of $2800. The head gasket repair is the bulk of the cost and includes a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty. The entire crew showed they take tremendous PRIDE in what they do, which is far beyond Auto Repair towards (your) satisfaction. Thank you, JJ, Jay, and the entire crew, for being so very generous. The check engine light in my 2012 BMW came on when the engine started running rough. This was two days before I needed to head out of town on a road trip. Thanks guys for working me in on such short notice. I brought my car in the next morning and they were able to make the repairs the same day. The price was reasonable and they showed me the parts that were causing problems. I will continue to bring my car to European Motor Cars for service. They don't seem to know how to keep their customers appraised of their vehicle owners condition. Don't be surprised if they tell you it will be done in the afternoon and then you hear nothing from them and they are closed at 6:00pm. The customer ahead of me, a young man was told.... hey we left you a voice mail message on Friday and said your car was ready, he acted confused, paid $500 for whatever as was without his car the entire weekend, and then later in the day (for me) they kept my vehicle overnight. Upon paying and picking it up it had a huge scratch in the front fender. Corey acted unconcerned. I refused to pay $130 for an oil change for a 7 year old car. I think they grudged me, and shafted me like a typical car repair place will do. The place is a rip off, and the staff are creeps. I paid my $400 bill for nothing and left disheartened. This is the absolute best place to take your European car! Jeff the manager is wonderful to work with - really takes care to understand the issues and be sure they're properly resolved. My 18 year old has a 2001 volvo that has had multiple issues and they have fixed the problems each time and charged me a very reasonable price.
