BUYER BEWARE!!! I found this spa on Groupon and decided to call the number listed before purchasing the voucher to ensure that they will have an appointment time for me before August 1st because I'm moving from NY to CA. My regular ultherapy brow lift specialist is unavailable before then which is why I searched on Groupon for ultherapy specifically. When Irina picked up the phone she seemed courteous but was in a rush so once she confirmed that she would be able to see me in July and she would text me her instagram I let her get back to work and purchased my Groupon. Once I did that she completely switched up on me. First she text me back confused about who was contacting her and then she falsely claimed that she told me on the phone that she would be charging a tax on the Groupon. Why would I pay $150 in tax for a $189 Groupon? As an educated consumer, I know the NYC tax rate which would be less than $20 for a purchase in that amount. She went from offering me an appointment on July 6th to claiming she was booked until September. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, SAVE YOURSELF THE GRIEF AND GO ELSEWHERE. Plenty of spas in NYC to deal with someone who has no respect for potential customers and tries to rip people off. I purchased a basic facial on Groupon hoping to find a new place to get my facials. I've had many basic facials before so I know what to expect, no frills, no extras-just a basic facial. I went to their website and saw the two different types, mini and classic. Now according to definitions, classic also means normal, standard, usual which means basic. No where on the Groupon did the basic state it was mini-facial (30 minutes). I feel the description on Groupon is completely misleading. In addition, at my first appointment I showed up on time and was told the client before me was late so therefore I would have to wait an hour to be seen. I rescheduled, showed up for the next appointment and waited half an hour. I would not return to this location, nor recommend it based on my experience. Very disappointing. read more

Another amazing experience.. Irina is extremely talented. Her staff is wonderful and her students are sweethearts. I've been coming here for years, for myself, my son, my friends too and we always leave satisfied. I am so upset with the turnout of my visit at this place. I have followed their Instagram page for a long time now and have always wanted to get microblading done here because based on the pictures they post their work seemed very good. Irina the owner posted on Instagram that she needed a model for microblading and I messaged her to volunteer for it since I've seen the posts on IG with the "work" their students do and it looks great. I went in and was a bit nervous but decided to go for it since everyone was so nice including Irina. I got there 10minutedThe student that did my eyebrows was Dee and she was very sweet but also very nervous. I was once a beauty school student myself and I was often nervous when working on models with for the first time. Irina was there with the student but she seemed very frazzled and annoyed by Dee to the point where she made her even more nervous because of this she slightly messed up my brows but. My mom met me there afterward and paid $350 to get her eyebrows done by Irina they turned out good and she said she would perfect them when she came back for her touch up. (After my mom's eyebrows healed they looked like nothing had been done to them at all). Irina is also very loud and boisterous she MUST make her presence known to everyone and she is very pushy and imposing. She tried to get us to buy extra services and kept offering one after the other, she is very pushy in a passive aggressive way. She then said she would gift me a PRX facial for the discoloration on my skin, she told me it costs $150 but she would gift it to me for the rattled experience I had with Dee, I declined her offer but she insisted and said she wanted me to be completely happy and advised me not to turn down a free service or gift, especially not an expensive one. We laughed about it and then I accepted the "gift". She offered my mom one free laser hair removal session to try it out but my mom was scared of the laser and declined. Once my mom and I paid for the microblading we got done and left the establishment Irina called me about 10 minutes after us leaving telling me that she forgot to charge me for the PRX facial and if I could come back and pay for it. She completely denied that she offered it to me as a gift and when I refused to go back to pay for it she became very nasty, insulting and rude followed by hanging up the phone on me. Prior to my appointment I had spoken to her via Instagram DM's regarding her services. She proceeded to message me on there and harass me to the point where I had a full blown back and forth argument with her via And then she blocked me. I advise all of patrons and clients at her establishment to be very careful with "free services", samples and or gifts offered by Irina or her staff. Her overbearing, boisterous and loud personality is done purposely to rattle and confuse you and FORCE you into buying more services. Do your research first before setting up an appointment. Just finished getting a mani/pedi with facial. I also added on threading for $10 per location (10 for eyebrow and 10 for lips). My manicurist, Bertha, has 25 years of experience and it shows! She did an excellent job with my mani/pedi and threading (she used both wax, tweeze and trim) and was very detailed in doing her job. I also got a quick hand & foot massage which was appreciated. My facialist, Yael did a decent job but I wish she used more pressure I massaging my face during the procedure. I asked her once but didn't want to repeat myself. Nevertheless she also added lip moisturizer at the end, which I think was just a nice thing to do. Overall I'm satisfied and recommend the mani/pedi out of all their services! read more

Love this place with all my heart! My mom has lived in the area for 5+ years and I always rave about it to my friends in Boston. Now that I'm living in Manhattan, I make the trip out for everything from nails to wax and special treatments. Incredibly professional staff, it's clean and everything is newly renovated and constantly improving. Berta is a godsend! I won't let anyone else do my nails or wax. This place is horrible and Irina unprofessional in every single aspect. I did microblading almost one year ago with her and my brows where very uneven it faded in a grayish color, when I called her and tell her that I was not happy about my brows she said to go back for my touch up I went there and again faded same color and no shape at all. The point here is that she doesn't know nothing about microblading. She doesn't even know how to measure to get your brows symmetrical when I asked her to measure my brows she stated she was a master and she doesn't need to measure them. Second because I had to wait for her to arrive to the salon she was sorry and she offer me a glass of wine and when you do this procedure you don't have to drink alcohol the day before. I decided to write this review after all this time because I ended up going to a professional place where they told me I had to wait in order to get my brows done again. She made my browns and they look horrible, and she blame me saying that I have oily skin, and ofcourse I don't! And then she refused to fix them unless I get a " touch up" . This lady Irene is so rude and dishonest is an understatement. I started going to her in 2018. I have thin facial hair and used razors to remove on growing back I had ingrown hair bumps and a friend recommended her. She charged me a total of $1700 for facial hair removal. On assessment of my face she told me with a few treatments they will be permanently removed. I went consecutively for all my treatments. On completion of my treatments after 3 months the hair came back. I went to her and was told by her that I should pay her and additional $50 for any future visit. It's 2021 and I am still seeing this lady who uses her trainees for my services. I went there today and she told me "it's now $100 and since I am complaining about the services her product is not working for me and I should not come back". I have sent her several client and only found out today they all have not completed their services that they paid for either because she is very disrespectful and they were always overcharged. She doesn't have a pricelist for her services and charges clients various prices for her services. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Okay place, but slightly overpriced and manager is pushy I decided to check out this place after finding a Groupon for chemical peels running $43 for $125 worth of services. I wasn't sure what kind of chemical peels they offer so I called to inquire. I spoke with a person who seemed to be the manager and was able to get an appointment for the same day in the late PM. She recommended to come in first before buying the Groupon, so that she could advise me on the best peel for my skin type.. When I arrived it was confusing which place was actually the spa. They operate in two separate locations that are a few doors from each other, but there seems to be overlap in the spa services offered. The manager immediately and aggressively tried to sell me carbon laser peel, which I had never heard of before. She told me that it would be better for my skin since I have acne (I don't! Just oily skin) and hyperpigmented spots (the reason why I want a peel) on my face. She pressed me to go to the other location a few doors down the block to see another client getting the carbon peel one. I watched and looked up carbon peel quickly on my phone and decided not to get it because I don't like rushing decisions. Plus, I am a dark skin woman and dark skin is notorious for having variable responses to laser in general. When I told the lady I did not want carbon peel she told me how the chemical peel I prefer would be a waste with a sort of passive-aggressive attitude I did not like. I was asking a lot of questions regarding the chemical peel, namely the type ( TCA, Jessner, etc), strength etc...I'm a medical professional so I'm used to being thorough...Perhaps I came across as clueless about the process which could explain why they spoke to me as if I did not know what I wanted. I ended up getting a Jessner peel which was fine; it's not rocket science anyway. The lady who did it was nice and professional. In contrast to another a place I got a peel at, I did not receive any aftercare instructions from European Laser Spa and had to prompt to get them. When it came to pay she quoted me $50 instead $43 as listed on groupon and argued that it would be $50 anyway with tax. At 9% tax rate in NY, I would have paid $46 but I wasn't gonna argue on a few dollars so I just paid and left. Overall, this place is okay. They seem to provide good services but I don't like being pressured to do cosmetic treatments I don't need and/or don't want. I visited this spa to have my eyebrows micro bladed. I was a bit skeptical because I didn't know what to expect. The aesthetician explained to me in detail what was going to happen and while I thought it would ease my mind, it didn't. I hadn't been here before and it's pretty difficult to trust especially with a service performed on your face; your eyebrows! So I was taken to a room and it began. The numbing cream used was very helpful. I felt a bit of pinching but it wasn't so bad. When we were done, I reluctantly looked in the mirror. Perfect eyebrows! Omg! I naturally don't have a lot of hair in my brows, so threading wasn't giving the best illusion. This is it and this is certainly the place to get it done. I've gotten so many compliments on my eyebrows and people are surprised when I tell them it's micro bladed. It looks very natural. Not like a saturated tattoo. If I could give this place less than one star I would. First off they put the name of their business in Groupon several different ways so that you think this is various salons. It's the same hellhole. I was told not to buy a Groupon and pay the Groupon price there for microblading. Anne drew my brows and then ignored what we agreed upon and I left looking like Herman Munster. I was a bloody mess which is not what happens in microblading. Customers coming in to ask about the microblading promo saw mine as I came out and they hurried out because I looked horrific. I was told to come four weeks after for a touchup. I called and told Anne that two and a half weeks later this looks like a botched flat tattoo. She said this was normal and I would need three more sessions (each 2 hundred dollars). I was charged for 6D eyebrows and left with a dark brown flat tattoo of a horrible shape (even after it has healed). I spoke to various salons and they said the entire point in going is to give the effect that you have hair when you don't. ANNE LIED and said this was normal to have a flat tattoo when you don't have hair and that's what touch ups were for. I went to another salon to see if they could fix it and they said you can't create hair like strokes on top of a flat tattoo and that I have to wait out this mess to fade. The people on the site that have reviewed them are he people who work there. The people who said I love my brows are the tattoo artists themselves. Do not go here! They are super pushy, abrupt and lie about their business. Now they're on Groupon for fifty dollars less than what I paid. I'm assuming that's because no one wants to go and risk their face. I did my brows with Adina I had done them previously. My brows were slightly off and I just needed a fill in and for it to be even out. I got a groupon and she rush through my sessions and told me to get another appointment for an additional fee I paid it. She never lined my brows and I brought her an additional client brand new never had micro blading and she also never lined the brow. I came back did a second session and my brow is not even and isn't completely filled in.. She has no reply but yet she is an expert. My keratin lift was another nightmare my left lash was burned with the chemical and got fried in the process. read more

I had no eyebrows left after many years for over plucking them (it was the trend back in the day to have pencil thin brows). So I finally decided to have permanent Eyebrows done ( I was also tired of having to draw my brows in everyday and hoping I don't accidentally rub them off). I Had a great experience here at European Spa, everyone was really nice and friendly as well as professional.I had eyebrow Mircoblading and Roxy did a great job drawing in each hair. It was slightly uncomfortable at first while she drew in the first round of hairs , but was painfree after the second application of numbing cream when she completed the process. I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks in advance only to be canceled the day before. I was rescheduled for yet another week and was asked not to purchase the offer through Groupon that they would honor the Groupon price. Three weeks later I came in for a couples massage and facial. Arrived 10 min earlier and was asked to wait since the appointment wasn't until 10 min later. At my appointment time I was asked to pay and was told it was more money than what was agreed for. After much debate I reluctantly accepted and went through with new price. It was now 20 min into my appointment time. The whole one hour facial and one hour massage was about 1.5 hours total along with many "breaks" for the masseuse and facial technician. I don't know why it took me so long to write this review. I've been here a couple of times. I first came here for a manicure and pedicure. By the time I left I ended up getting the mani pedi, eyelash extensions, and microblading. I was happy with everything except the eyelash extensions because the lady that was supposed to do the extensions was super late (like over an hour late). After all that she was coughing while leaning over my face doing the extensions. She must have been sick. Anyways, I returned again yesterday to get my microblading touched up. Irena did both my microblading and my touch up. She did an amazing job. She also talked me into trying the carbon laser facial. I didn't plan on getting it, but I was happy I did when it was over. My skin was smooth, bright, and glowing. On a personal note, Irena is a force of nature. She's busy training students at the shop, pushing her services, just she's warm and personable, she works really hard. She's a hustler and I admire her. She also offers a ton of other services. My boyfriend and I bought the couple's package using Groupon and they were so friendly, comforting, and helpful. The lady who did our facials was extremely helpful as she told us what kind of facial our package entailed (which was your basic facial) and kindly asked if either my boyfriend or I wanted the microdermabrasion or not. She was never pushy about anything and really took her time with both of us. The masseuse also really took her time with both of us and really concentrated on the areas that my boyfriend and I were super tense in. Overall, extremely relaxing and wonderful "treat yo self" experience and would definitely come back! The pricing btw, is worth it in my opinion. I had my hair cut and highlighted by Ella and I could not be happier. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted and she gave me great suggestions about what would look best on me; length, style for my thin hair, highlight color. My hair was very damaged from having my hair bleached and she ensured me that this would not happen with the products they use at the salon. All organic products to color my dark brown/black hair, no bleach, no orange color. She also did the highlights so it would grow out naturally, looking like balayage. She styled my hair once the color was done. The blowout made my hair look so beautiful and voluminous. They also offer so many popular services. I really want to have micro blading done. All the pictures look great and I saw a woman there who had just had it done and it looked beautiful, so natural. Everyone there was so friendly and made me feel comfortable, especially Irina who made sure I was happy with everything. I will definitely be returning to European Laser Spa. read more
