Top of every container of food that we tried..
    Monika V.

What a flavor!!! We got the vegan plate, beans, lentil, chicken and beef and wow, the spices and flavors were all over my mouth. Even my four grandkids loved every dish!!! Totally recommend and the attention of the owner/cook was so sweet and helpful. This is authentic Ethiopian food and so wonderfully made! Even the message on top of the Injera was a sweet gesture that filled the meal with love. Thanks for this fantastic experience and will comeback for sure... go and give them a try, you will love it too!

Loved this plate! I ordered the vegetarian meal and it did not disappoint. I got a variety of lentils and veggies, all seasoned perfectly. Injeera was also included with this meal. Absolutely delicious.

We ordered the Culinary Connoisseur, it came with doro wot and tibs, along with a variety of side veggie dishes. We ordered through doordash and picked up the food. The food was very tasty. I will be ordering again soon. Happy to have Ethiopian food as an option in Santa Clarita.

A total hidden gem in Santa Clarita Valley! If you've ever wanted to try Ethiopian food, or have loved it for years, this is the place to be. Located as one of the restaurants in The Hub in Santa Clarita, this is a wonderful place! 100% organic foods cooked by the owner with love. All ingredients are so fresh and perfectly spiced. I've always loved Ethiopian food, but have never found any near me. So excited that this place exists! We purchased the sampler platter for the three of us to share, and there was plenty left for the next day. So many options to choose from. And the owner Meg is just the sweetest person. You can tell that she is so passionate about her food and what she serves her customers. If you're looking for something new to try, or want to go for some of your favorite authentic Ethiopian dishes, this place is a must! I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Ethiopia Bites Review Presentation and packaging- A+ Injera- A+ Veggie combo- "Veggie Connoisseur" Green beans fresh and lively Cabbage a stand out Miser was spicy and delicious Micro greens cool idea refreshing Beet salad was off the chain, tender beets and spicy jalapeño Rib eye was juicy and grilled nicely with onions and pepper. The goman was stewed with the rib eye and had a good depth of flavor. The ingredients were selected with care and everything tasted like it was made in someone's home, but with the branding of a fine dining restaurant.

We ordered the individual serving vegetable combo, Doro Wot chicken stew, and the beef tibs stew. The owner came to greet us and apologized for not having the beef stew ready yet, and she customized the beef tibs with some spicy flavorful sauce as alternative. Such delicious food, and she came back to give us more injera when we ran out. Highly recommend to check out this place!

S/O and I shared the vegan combo and dereq tibs, a pitcher of their infused water, an Ethiopian cream coffee, and a glass of palm tree (their arnold palmer). The food was fantastic. I loved every bite we had, especially the gomen (braised greens), cabbage and carrot, and the kik alicha. The dereq tibs, though? That was AMAZING. Tender beef, sweet stewed onion, the perfect amount of spice from the serranos. I loved that the dish is accompanied by senafich (a spicy, horseradish-y mustard) and mitmita (a DELICIOUS chili powder that I want to put on everything lol). The beverages were delicious, I love an arnold palmer and this one is probably the best i've ever had with their spiced tea. Their coffee was decadent and strong and perfectly balanced. And the banana split! I am not usually one for dessert but I knew I needed to try this and I'm SO glad I did. A symphony of textures and complex flavors. We may or may not have used our fingers to get the last bits from the dish. The place itself is like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of the strip mall outside. Vibey music, beautiful furniture and decor, and all attention paid to the little details. Can't wait for them to reopen so we can come back!! Parking - strip mall was crowded, but street parking wasn't too bad to find.

The vegan combo came with a bunch of flavorful things like stewed red lentils, stewed yellow split peas, Ethiopian salad, et cetera. I'm not vegan, but I would have been more than satisfied with just the vegan combo as it was delicious and filling. The doro wat - spicy braised chicken with a hard-boiled egg - was tender and tasty. I thought the beef dish was even better. The beef pieces practically melted in my mouth. And everything went great with the injera, which had a spongy texture that I found absolutely pleasing. The service was also wonderful. Before our meal, our server performed a hand-washing ceremony with rose water. And after we finished eating, we were presented with wet towels to clean our hands. Throughout lunch, our server kept our glasses of water filled. This place is a small intimate spot with very few tables, so reservations are strongly recommended.

I had a wonderful time and found the food delicious! Our server helped us decide what to order as we are "older" adults and cannot eat too much at one meal. They have a good assortment of drinks to choose from. I had a glass of wine. They brought us large carafes of cold water, which was great to sip in-between courses. We had the Brik, Salads, B'Stilla, Honey Lamb, Lemon Chicken, Tea and Dessert. I liked everything - but I especially loved the Honey Lamb - and I don't usually like lamb! I wish I could include pictures here, but this type of food is eaten with your hands, so it was not possible to take pictures. (There is a hand-washing ceremony before eating, and even though I am somewhat of a "germaphobe", I was very comfortable eating without utensils after handwashing.) They do include forks with the courses if you prefer. If you look at the photos of the food on their web site, they are exactly how the food looks when you order it. The service was excellent. We had a main server who brought our courses and described in detail exactly what the ingredients were. And we had secondary server who kept our water carafe filled, brought other items as needed and cleared dishes. Service was perfectly timed, and the courses were freshly prepared and at the perfect temperature. We were there on a Saturday night, so a belly dancer performed as we were finishing, which was fun. We used Uber so we didn't need parking, but they have a parking lot right off Sunset with adequate spaces for guests. Moun of Tunis has been in this location since 1977, but I never knew. Will I go back? YES! Do I recommend this place? YES!

I'll admit, I sometimes feel like vegetarian food can lack flavor, but that was definitely NOT the case here. Everything we had was bold, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We ordered the lunch special: I had the spicy eggplant with soy beef, and he had the pad Thai. Both dishes were packed with flavor, perfectly tender, and didn't feel like they were "missing" anything compared to non-vegetarian dishes. The rice stood out, it wasn't your typical plain jasmine rice but more of a hearty grain blend, which I actually enjoyed even more. On top of the amazing food, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. This place is definitely going to be a regular for me when I'm in the area. The store is currently undergoing major renovations and expansion, so some products were temporarily difficult to locate, and there was some construction dust. However, Hardeep and the staff went out of their way to guide us and help us find everything we needed. It's exciting to see the vision for the new Spice District. The expanded store promises to offer a wider selection of products, a cleaner environment, and a much more organized shopping experience. We are looking forward to seeing the finished result. We also had the opportunity to try the food from their restaurant, and it was delicious. We ordered from the South Indian menu, and the masala dosa was excellent, served with flavorful sambar and fresh chutneys. Their specialty samosas were outstanding and tasted truly authentic.
