Best brunch you can ever have!!! MUST TRY!!! I tried the Sub and the Cheese Awkawi... so filling and delicious

Breadz did not disappoint! The portion sizes were generous (perfect for sharing) and any leftovers held up beautifully the next day. They were packaged in beautiful boxes with a handwritten note, which was such a thoughtful touch. The ingredients were high quality and the flavor combinations were absolutely delicious. We tried the zaatar, labneh, and mortadella, each one better than the last. We finished with the Lebanese for dessert and loved every bite. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

I am from San Francisco and studying in Santa Barbara, so I don't go home very often to eat my family's Lebanese food. By chance, a friend recommended this place, and I went there with a bunch of friends to celebrate a person's birthday. Everyone loved the food, and it put a huge smile on my face the whole time I ate there. At the end, they gave me complimentary snacks. The owner, Omaya, is such an amazing person, and her hands truly know how to cook and bake. All the food and baked items are handmade and fresh. I will come here anytime I miss my family's food so it can satisfy that part of me that misses them. The service was amazing, and the servers are truly awesome and friendly. The ambiance was great too. Definitely going to come here on my birthday for a good cheat day!

Now we all know how busy this place can get so I always recommend coming on weekdays if it fits in your schedule. If you come for dinner or on a weekend, allocate some extra time for your wait. My wife and k shared a combo #3 together and it filled both of us. From the moment we walked in, we could tell this place was special. The owner and staff are genuinely from the Mediterranean region, and it truly shows in the food. There's an authenticity and depth of flavor that you simply can't fake -- every dish feels like it's made with tradition, care, and real culinary knowledge. The service was excellent. The lady who helped us at the counter was especially kind and friendly, taking her time to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable while ordering. That warm hospitality made the experience even better. What impressed me most is the value. The food is high quality, generously portioned, and very affordable. It's rare to find authentic Mediterranean cuisine at such reasonable prices. Honestly, this place just needs more word of mouth so more people in town can discover what an incredible gem it is. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try authentic Mediterranean dishes. You won't be disappointed -- it's flavorful, welcoming, and truly worth a visit!

We ordered the zaatar and cheese stuffed mannaish-- blistered, golden, perfumed with wild thyme and sesame. It's the kind of bread that makes you shut up for a minute. The zaatar hits first -- earthy, sharp, unapologetically Levantine -- then the molten cheese pulls it together like a band that's been playing the same neighborhood spot for decades. Honest. Direct. No shortcuts. Then the adjaruli kachapuri lands on the table -- a canoe of blistered dough carrying a molten lake of cheese and egg. You tear into it, stir the yolk through the cheese, and suddenly you're participating in something ancient and slightly indecent. The crust has chew and character. The filling is rich without apology. It's comfort food with backbone. But here's the thing -- the soul of the place isn't just in the oven. It's Hasan and his family. They introduced themselves, welcomed us in like we were regulars, and made it clear this isn't just a business -- it's their table. That kind of hospitality can't be faked. It's either there or it isn't. Zaatar N'More is the real deal: generous food, proud hands, no pretense. Five stars. Go hungry. Leave like you've been taken care of

I discovered Zaatar and More through Yelp, drawn in by the glowing reviews and let me tell you,…read morethey did not disappoint. Every single thing I'd read was true, and then some. From the moment you walk in, you feel it,this isn't just a restaurant, it's a family. The owner and chef is hands-on in the best way he's right there serving his customers, treating everyone like they're sitting at his own dinner table. And ladies, he gets it without me saying a word, he brought over an extra chair for my purse. My purse got its own seat. At this point the food hadn't even arrived yet and he'd already won me over. That kind of thoughtfulness set the tone for the entire visit. And that's literally his philosophy whatever he'd proudly serve at home is what he serves here. That kind of integrity is rare, and you taste it in every bite. Speaking of bites the beef shawarma and chicken are chef's kiss. Every mouthful is one of those "oh wow" moments where the food just speaks for itself. And everything is baked, not greasy or heavy, which made the whole meal feel indulgent without the guilt. We also had the stuffed cheese and zaatar a dish I was told he created back in 1986 (before I was even born, hehe!). There's also a signature dish called the Diala Special, named after his daughter, which is such a thoughtful and personal touch and it's absolutely delicious too. Honestly, everything on the menu is top notch. Then there's the baklava. I love baklava, but I've had plenty of versions elsewhere that are dry or leave an unpleasant aftertaste. Not here. This one is on point perfectly moist, balanced, and so good that writing this review is genuinely making me crave another piece right now. The staff are family members, so you know the care and quality is consistent throughout. The space itself is clean, modern, and welcoming. If you're looking for a tight-knit family business with soul, flavor, and heart this is it. I'll be back.

The soltani kabob was to die for; the flavors in the beef barg and koobideh were so rich and cooked to perfection. The mastery of these dishes was absolutely on display. The mast moosir was a great creamy and savory side dish to complement the entrees. I HAD to get the tahdig (crispy rice) too! I also had a bit of the lamb shank which was really flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the baghali polo. The yogurt soda was a bit of an acquired taste for me, but I'm happy to have tried it for the full experience. We finished off our delicious meal with a floral and sweet Persian ice cream wafer sandwich. The portions were enormous, so we left feeling full with leftovers to look forward to! We came on a lively weekday evening. They don't do reservations, but we were warmly greeted and quickly seated with lavash and butter on our table immediately. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, with hybrid indoor/outdoor courtyard dining. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel very welcomed. I'd give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could!

I took one bite of a piece of chicken Shawarma and all I could taste was salt, it literally felt like I was licking a salt lick. I tried to push through and continue eating it anyway, but I was feeling like I was going to choke. I called in since I live a minute away right around the corner, to let them know how terrible it was, she put me on hold like she was going to taste it and came back on the phone and said "OK, what do you want? We close in 30 minutes and cannot make a new batch of chicken shawarma" She did not apologize or agree, it was salty. She did not offer to give me my money back! When I returned, she said they didn't do anything different and had never gotten any complaints and proceeded to ask me what I wanted instead. I asked for something that was a dollar more and she said no because it was more expensive so I decided to go with the beef tri-tip Shawarma. When I got home, I was even more disappointed and shocked. The TriTip was hard, dry, burnt and flavorless like they put no seasoning at all. I guess that was to show me that their food was not salty. Sadly, I will not be returning to this place ever again. Please don't waste your money and your time, the customer service is horrific and the owners are not accountable for their below par food.

What truly elevated this experience to something unforgettable, though, was Marisol. Her hospitality was hands down the greatest we've ever experienced anywhere. She was warm, attentive, genuinely kind, and made us feel welcomed like family rather than just customers. Marisol went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, checking in at just the right moments, answering questions with a smile, and creating an atmosphere that felt personal and sincere. Her positive attitude and care completely transformed the meal into a memorable experience. Because of Marisol and the incredible food, this Zankou Chicken location has officially become our spot.
