As someone who has been to India more than eight times and has eaten a lot of street food across the country, this place gets surprisingly close to the real flavor profile. Not the toned-down, suburban version. The actual stuff. Where this place really shines is the chaat. Pav bhaji, pani puri, mysore masala dosa, and excellent samosas. The snacks and street food are the kind of dishes most Indian restaurants barely attempt, but here they're front and center and done right. They also have a rotating daily menu plus à la carte items. The biryanis in particular are excellent and consistently flavorful, with generous portions. I also like spicy food. Real spicy food. My white suburban kids, not so much. But one of them will power through the heat here because the flavors are so good it's worth the suffering. That's usually a good sign. This isn't the place you go for a white tablecloth dinner.
