I've wanted to stop by since it opened up in the neighborhood recently. It has a clean interior and some cool authentic Indian furniture. They offer normal Indian meals, but they also do bowls, burritos and tacos Chipotle style, but of course with Indian cuisine. The boss is very kind. He explained everything, and also gave me some fresh garlic naan on the house. I got a heavy protein bowl with lamb and chicken. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken more, which was nicely tender. Their mango lassi is thick and not too sweet, and it paired perfectly with the food. Overall great experience. The food was clean and not greasy, service is good, and portions are decently big. I was looking forward trying out this fast casual version of Indian food. I visit Magic Mountain often. So it's nice to find local food places to enjoy. The staff was friendly, food was served quickly, and the place is spacious with plenty of room for seating. I get that the concept is "chipotle for Indian food" so I understand that the quality of the food may vary from a full service restaurant. So I took that into account. I got a loaded fry bowl. But I was going to eat it later so I got the fries and toppings separate to keep the fries from getting soggy. The first thing we noticed was that the fries were GOOD. They were some of the best fries that we've had. My husband and I joked that we would go back just to get that. However when it came to the chicken and masala sauce we weren't as impressed. The chicken was dark meat and it was a little chewy. The masala sauce was thinner than expected and it lacked flavor. The fries were hot and dropped fresh, but the chicken and masala sauce was cold. We also got some garlic naan and it tasted like it was just rewarmed with fresh herbs added. Again I get that the food needs to be served quickly. So that may affect the quality of the food. We may go back and give it another try because based on the other comments maybe we just for a bad batch? Edit to Add: As a response to the comment from the owner, I've been a Yelp Elite for years and I take that with pride so I know how to review things properly. I knew I wasn't going to eat the full meal right away which is why I ordered as I did. However when I got in my car I immediately tasted the fries and meat so that I could give an accurate review of when it was fresh. My personal experience still stands. went in this past Saturday as one of the first people through the door, and yes, it was chaotic, but the owner and his team handled the rush with poise and professionalism. Think of it as the "Cava" of Indian food, but better. The bowls come with chopped tandoori chicken that's fully deboned, so no fighting with bones. I also love that they offer both lamb and steak. The star of the show was the naan. All of it. I tried the plain, garlic, garlic onion, and cheese naan, and every single one was perfect: light, buttery, and fresh, with a flawless texture. None of that burnt naan you get too often elsewhere. It was the difference between a perfectly cooked French omelette and a burnt scramble. One tip for fellow diners: get the sauce on the side. Not because it isn't good (it's amazing), but because it will eat right through the recycled cardboard bowl. Pour it on fresh and enjoy every drop without sacrificing the structural integrity of your container. The restaurant has a really nice vibe and instagram worthy style despite its unassuming location. AMAZING!!! The food here is so flavorful. I ordered the Heavy protein bowl with added lamb, cucumber and cilantro. This is the perfect bowl for getting your protein in for your workouts! I also got their chicken and lamb coconut korma. Now this sauce is special! It's so creamy and the flavors or beautifully balanced! As soon as I took my first bite I paused and thought to myself, WOW!!! This is different, so amazing!!! I've had coconut curry which is one of my favorites, but the korma! OMG! It's on a whole other level to me! It's my new favorite! The turmeric rice is really great too! I had their garlic naan and the cheese garlic naan. I'm a huge fan of the cheese garlic. In general I'm a huge fan of garlic! Can't go wrong there! Yum! Now let me tell you about their chai tea! It is the best I've ever had. I've tried others and they never seemed to give me any wow factor. But theirs is sooooo good!!! It's a must to get! I ordered the chili shrimp and that too was so delicious! Fantastic spot! My brother wanted food before heading home after giving me a ride from getting my car serviced and he wanted to try this place after seeing it online. He had a custom bowl and I had the mango shrimp and cheese naan. Everything was delicious, I definitely splurged and got some drinks and cookies too because I wanted to try all the flavors and I was thrilled that I enjoyed everything. The service is super friendly and the decor is super fun, but the 5 stars here are the price and the ability to customize your meal, we have a large family, and each member is particular about their food. This is the spot I've been wanting for years! Fast, casual Indian food that lets you order in a way that's similar to Chipotle or Panda Express. First things first - we came here on opening weekend, so while there's room for improvement, we'll absolutely go back. The food was pretty good - I ordered a chicken bowl and appreciated that I didn't need to have it on a bed of rice, instead opting for cabbage. I had never put "toppings" like the ones offered on Indian food before, but was pleasantly surprised by the cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and cilantro. The cilantro sauce was also really good. The first thing I would love to see improvement on for the food is the naan. We ordered garlic naan, and had to wait a bit for it to be ready, which is usual for Indian restaurants and fine. However, this wasn't the fresh, pillowy type of naan that I love - instead it was rock hard and very stiff. Opening weekend, so maybe they haven't perfected this. Next thing I would love to see improvement for is their green chutney. I am a green chutney connoisseur- I put that stuff on everything! Unfortunately, this green chutney tasted very odd to me, almost as if it was old or store bought in a jar. For me, it was inedible. Lastly, customer service. The owner prepared our bowls while his daughter was checking out the woman in front of me. He felt very preoccupied with what she was doing, versus my ordering. I really wish he would have focused on one or the other. I wasn't in any type of rush, and since this is a new concept, I would have liked some suggestions of what to put in my bowl, what flavors might compliment each other. Again, this was opening weekend and I know there are kinks that are probably being worked out behind the scenes. I love this concept, and will absolutely be back. My girlfriend spotted a new Indian spot in Castaic so we went to check it out. The owner greeted us as soon as we walked in and went above and beyond with his friendliness and service. You can order Chipotle-style, which is a rare find for quality Indian food, or go with traditional dishes. I asked the owner to just make my bowl the way he would make it for himself. I know that can be annoying to some, but he clearly had a lot of passion for his food and I trusted that whatever he put together would be good. It was. Great place! We usually stop in Castaic when driving through LA to points north, and now we'll add this cafe to the routine. It's a clever concept to build your own bowl with a choice of proteins, sauces and toppings. I had the paneer veggie bowl with curry sauce on part and vindaloo on the rest, with cilantro yoghurt sauce and other toppings. The paneer and chickpeas were both delicious, as were sauces. My partner had a bowl with lamb and chicken and said the meats were not super tender but still tasty in the sauces. All the sauces we tried besides the vindaloo were mild in spice. Delicious mango lassi to drink. Most of all, we appreciated very friendly, quick, and helpful service! The Indian owner chatted with others in the room and had fluent Spanish, switching languages easily. Loved the cultural masala experience as well as good food. read more

The concept is similar to Chipotle, but with Indian-inspired flavors - you build your own bowl by choosing a base like rice, adding veggies, a protein, and your choice of sauce. I ordered the Veggie Protein Bowl with paneer and saag sauce, which was flavorful, fresh, and very satisfying. My husband chose the Protein Bowl with lamb and the vindaloo sauce, and he loved it. We were also impressed by the catering menu, which looked interesting and worth exploring for future events. The only downside was the wait time, which was longer than expected. Absolutely phenomenal. I was skeptical at first when I saw it was another restaurant doing bowls but this was fantastic. They also have dishes if you don't want bowls but everything we had was great.
