I was working near by and on my lunch break decided to find some food nearby. Cajun Chicken & Wings came up on google so I decided to give it a try . I highly recommend this place. My bf and I took a chance on this place and I'm so glad we did because it was so Bomb!!! The food was so hot in temp. which meant it was so fresh. We moved to SCV Oct 2024, halal options in the area is very sparse. We love fried chicken and was ecstatic to find this place. We come here almost once a week. The food is made fresh (the chicken is crispy and juicy), biscuits are excellent and all the other sides are delicious. The staff is also very friendly. When we have family/friends come over they always ask us to get them this to take home. Definitely stop by give it a try, guarantee you'll be back! read more

I was in the mood for some fried fish and in the area. Read some reviews and gave went to give it a try. It was very hot and stuffy inside. I wanted to stay and eat but quickly changed my mind. I noticed ceiling fans but they weren't even turned on. First impression was of a place trying to save money and a bit run down. The food was a bit expensive for the quality. I Ordered fish and shrimp. The shrimp had good flavor but were tiny, like popcorn shrimp . The fish was a small piece which wash flavorless the batter was over cooked and could not taste any seasoning. The Cajon fries were plentiful and tasted the best out of all of it. And the biscuit was very good too. The oil was fresh, I didn't get any stomach rumbles or bad feeling after eating, it just wasn't very tasty to me. Fellow truck drivers, sure you can get street food. But why do that when this place exists just a short walk away? I really enjoy getting my family meals here on days I don't want to cook at home. Your order is always cooked fresh! I recommend calling ahead and picking it up instead of ordering there. As I mentioned they cook your food fresh to order, so you will have a bit of a wait. We always order the spicy chicken family meal and their popcorn shrimp. Our first time eating here and never again. Found a cockroach in the macaroni and cheese. My daughter had already started eating before we found it. We were given an apology and a refund but nothing makes a cockroach in your food better. Update: the owner did reach out and was extremely apologetic which I appreciated. He seemed to be very genuine and offered to make it up to us. I can't bring myself to eat there so we did not take him up on it. This is not your chain fast food fried chicken! It does cost a little more than KFC or Poppey's, but it is not over-priced. We are regular customers (try not to eat too often if you know what I mean), but our daughter visiting from Irvine just had her Cajun Chicken for lunch today, and she said it's the best fried chicken she has ever had! They don't make the chicken until after you order; we often order over the phone and pick it up 20-30 mins later, so it is hot and fresh. Place was 10 minutes from where we were staying. Service fast and owners friendly. Portion of fries a little less then you would get at a popeyes so was a bit disappointed. Ordered a chicken sandwich combo. And chicken tenders Which were both good. But chicken strips were more batter then chicken. My husband and I pulled into this place for a quick bite. The decor and the exterior of this place has nothing to boast about. They serve only halal meat for those of you who find that to be important. My husband ordered the #9 fish combo and I got the #5 chicken combo. The food is prepared to order, so there's a little bit of wait, 8 minutes or less. Food came out hot and fresh. Fries were crispy. Coleslaw had a good constituency and flavor. This is the best fried chicken I have had in years! I usually dont eat fried food or fast food since I'm a health nut. But my friends took me here. The food was so fresh, right out the over/fryer. We got the chicken, biscuits (OMG SOOOOO GOOD), mash potatoes and fries. The chicken and biscuits were the best. You must try the biscuits. Warm, soft, savory! Me and my grandma go here a lot. Every time we go here I order the 10 piece party wings with buffalo sauce and buffalo sauce on the side. It takes around 8-10 minutes making food. The food is fresh delicious and just overall perfect I have no problems with Cajun. I Love there wings and there service and just how nice the people are.
