    03/16/2026 - Gol Gappe (8 Pieces) $9.95
    Teri C.

After a long day at Six Flags Magic Mountain, we wanted a full sit down meal and Great Indian Kitchen had some amazing reviews. We were greeted with complimentary crackers and some kind of chutney. It was really good and we enjoyed it! I have never received any kind of complimentary item at an Indian restaurant to welcome us, so this started off a great note. And the tasty chutney really set the tone as well. * Gol Gappe (8 pieces) $9.95 - We've had variations of this dish but what really stood out was their sour and spicy mint flavored water. That is beyond delicious! I literally drank it all up and have been trying desperately to find recipes on how to make it. It was SO good. * Masala Dosa $15.95 - This was pretty good and it's served with a spiced potato curry. We ended up ordering a second one. * Lamb Curry $19.95 - This was good stuff on basmati rice or with naan. * Bhindi Ki Sabzi $17.95 - It was our first time having this classic Punjabi dish and it was good as well. * Garlic Naan $4.95 * Basmati $6.95 Food overall was really enjoyable and I think often of that flavored water that accompanied the gol gappe. Service was okay. We sat at a rectangular four top and I found it annoying how the younger server would bring items over my shoulder when there was a more obvious open space for him to serve us. I think this is a basic training issue that could be fixed. There is a 3% surcharge for using credit cards. 4.5 stars

We drove out from Burbank on a perfect, light traffic Memorial Day evening, based on the great reviews, and they didn't disappoint! It's a cute little place with Bollywood clips on one tv and Cricket on another. Service was good and great conversation with the charming Manu. We had a delicious Dahi Puri, Samosas, chicken Tikka Madala, Chicken Korma, Basmati and Naan. Everything was great, and my wife even proclaimed it was maybe the best Korma, ever! This is a little gem that I highly recommend!

Wow. It's difficult to come by good Indian food, but this place is really good. Went around 3 pm, after buffet style was over. Restaurant had one other person inside, service was quick and attentive. Interior was decent and had some hanging plants around the sides. Let's get to the food. Started off with some little fried like chips with a garlic paste sauce that was on the house, really tasty! Vegetable Samosa - 10/10 DELICIOUS! Spiced absolutely perfectly! Genuinely really good, and the sauce was extremely tasty (really loved the red one specifically, I think it's tamarind?). Interesting shape too. I wish you guys would make chicken samosas too, could take it to a 10000/10! Lamb Saag - 8/10 Really good! The lamb was quite good, not chewy (which is hard to come by). Could have been a little more tender, and the sauce itself could have been a bit creamier, but very solid. Garlic naan - 9/10 It's good garlic naan, enough said! Onion Kulcha - 8/10 Tasty onion kulcha! Lachha Paratha - 8/10 Good buttery flaky bread Ginger Ice Cream - 10/10 GET THIS, SO GOOD! Didn't expect to like it as I don't particularly care for ginger, but both gf and I LOVED IT! Get this! Kheer - 3/10 (GF rating 8/10) Never had this before, but for a rice pudding was not expecting this. Was extremely watery, like soupy. Definitely thought it would be thicker. Cardamom flavor was far too strong as well, not my thing. Gf loved it though! In fact she thought it paired great with the ginger ice cream.

    Plate from Lunch Buffet

I went to the lunch buffet here last summer because I kept seeing the signage and wanted to try it out. The building was pretty spacious. Seats weren't densely packed so it feels like there is a lot of room. I came on and got seated immediately. The buffet had a lot of vegetarian/vegan options. I went for the vegetable biryani, saag paneer, chicken pakora, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and vegetable korma. Garlic naan was not a part of the buffet spread but was delivered separately by the waiter. It had a good garlic flavor and was warm but not too buttery. I liked the vegetable biryani and the vegetable korma. The korma was tender and very flavorful. The saag paneer tasted a bit off to me and my first plate of chicken masala was a bit dry. After they refilled the chicken masala, I got another serving and it was much better and more tender. They also had a small desert selection but it was nothing to write home about. I also saw a dead cockroach outside the bathroom door but I think it just crawled in from outside to escape the heat and died. Overall I think what makes this place attractive is the value. The buffet is pretty affordable and allows you to fill yourself up with a variety of food.

I only stopped by for a quick takeout order, but I have to say the service was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even though I was just picking up food to go. I ordered the aloo tikki appetizer, and it was okay, not bad, but not something that really stood out to me. I'd still like to come back and give this place another try because the service definitely left a good impression.

Absolutely blown away by this place. We ordered the shrimp chaat, samosa, rack of lamb, and goat curry -- and every single dish felt so special. Usually with Indian food, you kind of have an idea of what flavors to expect before the food even comes out. But this restaurant surprised me in the best way possible. The flavors were incredibly unique, bold, and layered in a way that felt much more authentic and exciting than the typical Indian restaurants around here. It honestly felt like the kind of food you'd discover at a vibrant street market in India. The shrimp chaat was packed with flavor and texture, the samosas were perfectly crispy, the rack of lamb was tender and beautifully seasoned, and the goat curry was rich, comforting, and unforgettable. On top of the amazing food, the restaurant was very clean, the atmosphere felt welcoming, and everyone was genuinely kind and attentive. You can tell there's real passion behind the food here. Definitely one of the most memorable Indian food experiences I've had in a long time.

Pro tip: bring cash as they charge a 3% surcharge on the final amonut (after tax and tip) for credit cards This is an affordable spot for Indian lunch buffet with delicious food! They offer the lunch buffet 11-3 everyday. When we went on Tuesday around noon, it wasn't that crowded with only 2-3 other tables occupied. On weekdays, the buffet costs $17.95 per person and comes with your choice of chai or soft drink. On weekends (Fri to Sun), it costs $19.95 per person, and in addition to the chai or soft drink, you can opt for a glass of champagne as well. They had a good selection of veg and non-veg dishes along with an assortment of chutneys and raita. On the day I went, they had the following mains, to give you an idea of their selection: biryani - vegetarian and chicken chicken tikka masala chicken curry fish vindaloo tandoori chicken dal makhani rajma (kidney bean) shahi paneer mixed veg curry pakora - veg and chicken My favorites were the chicken tikka masala, the chicken curry, the rajma / kidney bean curry, and the mixed veg curry. The tandoori chicken was good as well. As for the others, the fish vindaloo was too spicy for me, the dal makhani bland, and the gravy for the shahi paneer was too sweet. You can also order plain or garlic naan to eat with lunch in addition to the basmati rice and poori available at the buffet. They offer fresh fruit, so I ended my meal with orange slices, but they also have Indian desserts like kheer (rice pudding) and halwa. Service was good. Because it was never super busy in the restaurant, the servers checked on us often and collected finished plates. They also refilled waters / soft drinks quickly as well.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Sahej was so hospitable, greeted us as soon as we walked in and got the 6 of us sat. We felt like family-- and every single item we ordered on the menu was made with the utmost care, bursting with flavor. We ordered so many things to family-style-- and I can confidently say you can't go wrong with any of it here. The ambiance is a beautifully, warm lit atmosphere with bursts of color (pictured)-- I love how much thoughtfulness is placed in the space. Wheelchair accessible, located in a strip mall with tons of parking. We came here after our Six Flags trip and plan to make this our stop on the way home every time we go! Thank you so much, Great Indian Kitchen!

lunch buffet price as of 5/6/26

Read the other reviews for food. Mine will solely be for info I wish businesses were upfront about. This is my fight against hidden restaurant fee-flation and for price transparency. lunch buffet price as of 5/6/26 Extra service charges or fees (other than tax and tip): 3% credit card fee, signs at the register, which is inside and towards the back of the restaurant, by then you'd most likely have already sat down and will only see when paying Tip lowest default: electronic/tablet, 15% Allows bill split/itemize: yes, 6 people Fee transparency/fairness score: 3/5 NOTE: tip seems to be based off of subtotal and tax DISCLAIMER: 3% fee seems to be based off subtotal + tax + tip (electronic), which makes sense

Back again- this is my favorite local spot for Indian food and love coming here for a solo meal! Amazing food and great service! Love that the patio is dog-friendly. Their samosas are unmatched and the lunch specials are a fantastic deal- great portions! I look forward to trying their lunch buffet which rotates specials each day :)

that's hot chai in the back and rose milk tea!

I went here yesterday and it's $20 for the lunch buffet, which is a steal. It includes a glass of champagne, hot, chai tea, or rose milk tea, all that you can get iced or hot. Service was very friendly. The garlic naan was like the best I've had. Even their plain chicken they noted doesn't have food coloring and it sure tasted delicious! I had two huge plates and I was so full. The place was very clean, which I appreciate and that includes the bathroom.

There aren't too many places to get it here in Santa Clarita and we were happy to try this new-ish place, next to Target in the heart of the Santa Clarita Valley. Our litmus test for Indian is Saag Paneer. (Generally we eat vegetarian when getting Indian.) We ordered it (and all our dishes a notch above mild so we can taste the spice without having the heat be too distracting. This may have been a notch above that in delivery but was delicious and ultimately passed "the test" for us. We also had Yellow Daal (harty and flavorful), garlic naan and vegetable samosas, all of which we enjoyed. The samosas, too, were slightly on the spicy side, but again not too distracting from the ample flavor. They have a whole separate menu section labeled "Vegetarian" as well as "vegan" labels on dishes so if you do have one of those diets, besides being happy to have so many options, you are well taken care of here. On top of all this, while we were there, most of the other patrons were Indian families which always seems like the real litmus test on whether the food is good and authentic. There's nothing fancy about it, nothing curated for Instagram, and definitely no attempt at "elevated dining." It's simple food, made well, at a very reasonable price. And the food is genuinely good. As someone who has been to India more than eight times and has eaten a lot of street food across the country, this place gets surprisingly close to the real flavor profile. Not the toned-down, suburban version. The actual stuff. Where this place really shines is the chaat. Pav bhaji, pani puri, mysore masala dosa, and excellent samosas. The snacks and street food are the kind of dishes most Indian restaurants barely attempt, but here they're front and center and done right. They also have a rotating daily menu plus à la carte items. The biryanis in particular are excellent and consistently flavorful, with generous portions. I also like spicy food. Real spicy food. My white suburban kids, not so much. But one of them will power through the heat here because the flavors are so good it's worth the suffering. That's usually a good sign. This isn't the place you go for a white tablecloth dinner. It's the place you go when you want authentic Indian flavors without the usual Americanized menu. If you've spent time in India and miss that style of food, this place will feel very familiar.

I'm so glad I checked Yelp instead because this was a great dining experience and is on our map to return to. We ordered a chicken tikka masala bowl, a saag paneer bowl, two garlic naans, and two mango lassis. It came out to about $42 which I already thought was reasonable but when I saw the size of the portions, I was amazed. Our bowls were filled to the top and we will definitely be able to make a few meals out of them. The food was so fresh and flavorful - I asked for my curry to be medium spicy and it was the perfect amount. Service was so friendly and welcoming. We will absolutely be coming back.

One bite of this and I'm transported back to my childhood. The spinach pakoras (fritters) make an incredible base for the multi-seasoned, multi-textured, complexity of this dish. Crispy spinach pakoras, topped cubed potatoes and garbanzo beans, with cool yogurt, seasoned with the quintessential spicy green mint/cilantro chutney and tangy and sweet tamarind chutney and sprinkled with seasonings-- including the tartly delicious chaat masala...yum. Every bite. Every spoonful. Perfect. 5/5 Coconut chicken curry -- creamy, healthy chunks of chicken and a perfect morsel with delicious chewy, soft naan. I asked for medium spice -- next time I'll go max spice. 4/5 Masala chai-- delicious - but missed the mark somehow. Maybe because my homemade chai is so good. Although it is offered free -- so can't complain too much. 3/5 Stuffed parathas. These were well filled and not skimpy on the filling and perfectly cooked. Each morsel taken was a memory of my motherland. I've had biryani, lamb and goat curry and gobi Manchurian here on different trips -- all absolutely delicious.

Pretty good Indian food but expect lots of butter/ghee in the food!!…read more My friend and I dropped by for dinner Saturday evening around 7:30 pm. To our surprise, there was just one other group there even though it should've been peak dining hours. Because of this, we didn't have high expectations for the food, but surprisingly it turned out okay. The space is nice and big with both table and booth seating. It looked like there was a private room for events off to one side as well. Since it's a chaat place, we got some chaat as well as a curry. We shared the following: Pav bhaji ($10.99) Paneer kathi roll ($10.99) Chicken tikka masala ($17.99) Plain roti and naan ($2.99 + $3.49) Out of everything, the pav bhaji was our favorite. The bhaji was drier than usual (usually it's a bit more liquid), but the flavor was good. There was also a strong taste of butter/ghee, more than what I'm used to, so it's definitely a very rich dish here, especially with the extra chunk of butter they serve on top. Too bad they only serve two pav by default, as at least 3, maybe 4, would've been good to go with the amount of bhaji provided. I only took a bite of the kathi roll, but it was a bit too sweet for me personally. However, my friend liked it and said that the paneer tasted very fresh and soft. The chicken tikka masala was pretty standard. Nothing to write home about. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavors here. It's not super close to where we live but we might come back to try some of the other chaat!

We…read moreappreciated that we didn't need a reservation and the price point was very reasonable and a good value compared to other tea experiences we have had. The food was very tasty. We tried 6 different sandwiches. 4 were delicious. The salmon was my favorite, with the chicken curry being a close second. The tuna was tasty, but all the same shade of beige which was a little off putting, but still tasted good. My least favorite was the egg salad which needed more seasoning. The scones were really delicious. We got a white chocolate and a butterscotch scone that was straight out of the oven. Absolutely heavenly! The teas were also really good. We enjoyed them so much we bought some to take home. Mine was the coconut cocoa and my friend got the caramel chai. They were equally delicious. Our server Brett was so attentive and friendly. He accidentally put in a sandwich option incorrectly and when we mentioned it, he immediately told the chef to make the sandwich we had ordered with a cheerful attitude. The only ding for our experience was it felt like the establishment was ready for a bit of a refresh, (there was some chipped paint around and a light out in the bathroom) also although the decor was charming, it felt like it needed a good cleaning. I think they also missed an opportunity for a more upscale ambiance when the wall of teas had sloppy handwriting on the tins. This is all super nit picky and didn't take away from our overall experience and we will definitely visit them again.

The food is extremely basic. My friend got eggs that were scrambled and over, WAY- OVER cooked. I was shocked she attempted to eat her entree. The tea sandwiches are nothing extraordinary either, nor was my cold soup. The scones were microwaved and our bills were well above $35 a person. While the experience wasn't terrible it wasn't anything to return for either. Sorry Yelpers but it's a hard pass moving forward. Cheers to good eats xx

Dosa is my partner's favorite food in the world and Woodlands did not disappoint! The atmosphere is a lot nicer inside than you might expect from the exterior. So back to the all you can eat, ordered pakoras and batter was sour. Then followed up with dosa, same thing with sour batter which is over fermented. Infact ordered a second serving to make sure I wasn't just tasting it. It's reasonable to assume that Thursdays all you can eat are leftover combinations from weekend preps. In terms of service, gap between the servings was over 10-11 minutes, and at the second serving, desserts were brought out when not asked for. Chutneys: not served unless asked for. Everything was off. The floor manager walked over and hinted at us leaving; not asking how the food was but when are you leaving vibe. Ambience has been like it was pre Covid. Not many customers on a weekday but that is perhaps because of demographics in the area. Weird thing about them trying to kick us out was that the restaurant wasn't even crowded but maybe becuase costs from our table were maxed out. Oh yes they also had a vegetable biryani as an appratizer which was served without raita of course. Overall, the place used to be great. Maybe still is but opt to go on weekends when it's crowded and food is maybe fresh. Another thing about ownership being form north in a South Indian restaurant are subtle changes where sambhar gets a jeera tadka or aalu pallya gets vegetables like carrots and peas. Avoiding for 6 months or so.
