Raita, tamarind chutney, rice within box, samosa mint / cilantro garlic chutney.
Janelle T.

Excellent Indian restaurant. Best in SCV, hands down. Not too salty. Everything is just right... made to perfection!! I'm always worried that Indian joints make dishes way too salty. It can be a common issue like other places in Valencia town center. Staff here are the friendliest as well. Our family came for dinner & ordered a variety of items.. samosas, chicken korma, goat coconut curry, butter chicken, tofu curry (for my vegan BIL), chicken tandoori, lamb coconut curry, chicken tika masala, garlic naan, plain naan, chili & garlic naan, jeera rice & also raita yogurt & tamarind chutney. They served us chilled bottled water as soon as we sat down. The food came hot in To Go containers and they gave us styrofoam plates & plastic utensils which is convenient because we can just eat whatever we can and then take the leftovers home. The portions were surprisingly generous. We could actually share our selections family style. I ordered my butter chicken spicy but it came mild or maybe that's "goris" & "goras" typical "spicy" level. I went up to the counter & asked for hot chilies & the gentleman kindly brought out a small container from the fridge with a spicy fresh chili sauce (yum!) he warned that it was very spicy. I told him we want our mouths to burn & I assured him that I will probably be the first girl he's met that can outdo anyone he knows. LOL. My family has always had the hots for chilies! The tables and bathrooms were clean. We discovered hot chai offered in the lobby... couldn't be happier. If there is a true & authentic Indian restaurant standard, this one would definitely be it!

Vegetarian Paneer Tikka Masala and Chicken Coconut Curry!

First time here! We read the reviews and they did not nearly summarize how awesome this place is! Very clean. The food tastes delicious! Pricing is good. Service is beyond excellent! Employee gave free dessert out and greeted us with water right away! Our food was also served with fresh cucumber, onions, and tomatoes. All together everything was so delicious and a great experience!

This place gets 5 stars! Atmosphere is clean, plenty of tables and it smelled great inside. The service was very friendly and the food came out very quick. Amazing flavors and you can tell the food was made with intention and care. The prices are more than fair at under $15 for every item. I will definitely back again!

Visiting the area from Seattle , my husband wanted Indian and this establishment is one my sister has eaten at. This establishment is located in the heart of where truckers stop to eat and fuel up. It is located in a small strip of stores. I will start out and say the food is outstanding but the interior decor has absolutely no personality, no inviting ambiance. It's filled with booths and the wall colors are odd. No decor in the place. The menu display boards are bright and easy to read. I really liked how the menu clearly outlined vegetarian options. There were 4 of us so we ordered 4 different dishes. The samosas were robust and flavorful! The naan breads were good but needed to be toasted longer. I ordered the aloo gobi - contained very large stems of cauliflower- wished they were cut into smaller pieces, potatoes were scarce. I also ordered the paneer tikka - delicious! The sauce was creamy and the paneer chunks were big. What blew me away was we dined in and dinner was brought to us on a cafeteria tray in "to go" containers, along with paper plates and plastic silverware wrapped in plastic. I have never dined in a restaurant and served like this. I was stunned and found it extremely wasteful. Our naan breads were wrapped in thick foil. The customer service was okay. No one came to the table and asked how our food was. As stated the food was delicious but the experience was odd. If I returned I get take out vice dining it. Very odd customer experience.

Restaurant had one other person inside, service was quick and attentive. Interior was decent and had some hanging plants around the sides. Let's get to the food. Started off with some little fried like chips with a garlic paste sauce that was on the house, really tasty! Vegetable Samosa - 10/10 DELICIOUS! Spiced absolutely perfectly! Genuinely really good, and the sauce was extremely tasty (really loved the red one specifically, I think it's tamarind?). Interesting shape too. I wish you guys would make chicken samosas too, could take it to a 10000/10! Lamb Saag - 8/10 Really good! The lamb was quite good, not chewy (which is hard to come by). Could have been a little more tender, and the sauce itself could have been a bit creamier, but very solid. Garlic naan - 9/10 It's good garlic naan, enough said! Onion Kulcha - 8/10 Tasty onion kulcha! Lachha Paratha - 8/10 Good buttery flaky bread Ginger Ice Cream - 10/10 GET THIS, SO GOOD! Didn't expect to like it as I don't particularly care for ginger, but both gf and I LOVED IT! Get this! Kheer - 3/10 (GF rating 8/10) Never had this before, but for a rice pudding was not expecting this. Was extremely watery, like soupy. Definitely thought it would be thicker. Cardamom flavor was far too strong as well, not my thing. Gf loved it though! In fact she thought it paired great with the ginger ice cream.

Some of our favorite dishes are the chicken tandoori served on a sizzling hot metal plate, chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, saag paneer, basmati rice and garlic naan. The servings are generous and we always have enough to take home to dine again. Cocktails are very reasonable with a Moscow Mule priced at under $9. There are other alcoholic drink options in this low priced range, The buffet has many options and the food is just as tasty as regular dining, but I have only been to it a few times. We have become like family here receiving a big welcome every time we enter the door. The servers are attentive and polite and we are on a first name basis with many. Anuv has become one of our favorite servers as he greets us with a big smile and has our usual order memorized even though we dine here less than once a month. Another waiter, (Monny) went out to the neighboring grocery store to buy me a little cake for my birthday when we dined here on that day. There is room for large parties and the decor is nice with glass top tables. Lots of Bollywood music videos are shown and the music can keep you in a good mood, Definitely dine here if you love flavorful Indian food!

The food is…read moreconsistently good, the flavors are there, and if you're craving dependable Indian food, it usually delivers. The menu leans toward the familiar classics, but they're done well. Curries are flavorful, spices are balanced, and the dishes generally come out the way you expect them to. It's not trying to reinvent anything, but sometimes that's exactly what you want; reliable food that scratches the itch when the craving hits. Service can be a little uneven. When the restaurant is busy, things sometimes feel rushed. And if you're ordering takeout, take the pickup time with a grain of salt. If they say 20 minutes, mentally prepare for 40. It's not unusual for orders to run double the quoted time. Still, despite those quirks, this place has stayed in rotation for a reason. The flavors hold up, the portions are solid, and it's one of those dependable neighborhood spots you keep coming back to over the years.

There aren't too many places to get it here in Santa Clarita and we were happy to try this new-ish place, next to Target in the heart of the Santa Clarita Valley. Our litmus test for Indian is Saag Paneer. (Generally we eat vegetarian when getting Indian.) We ordered it (and all our dishes a notch above mild so we can taste the spice without having the heat be too distracting. This may have been a notch above that in delivery but was delicious and ultimately passed "the test" for us. We also had Yellow Daal (harty and flavorful), garlic naan and vegetable samosas, all of which we enjoyed. The samosas, too, were slightly on the spicy side, but again not too distracting from the ample flavor. They have a whole separate menu section labeled "Vegetarian" as well as "vegan" labels on dishes so if you do have one of those diets, besides being happy to have so many options, you are well taken care of here. On top of all this, while we were there, most of the other patrons were Indian families which always seems like the real litmus test on whether the food is good and authentic. India Garden is now our go-to spot for Indian food in the SCV!

We tried 6 different sandwiches. 4 were delicious. The salmon was my favorite, with the chicken curry being a close second. The tuna was tasty, but all the same shade of beige which was a little off putting, but still tasted good. My least favorite was the egg salad which needed more seasoning. The scones were really delicious. We got a white chocolate and a butterscotch scone that was straight out of the oven. Absolutely heavenly! The teas were also really good. We enjoyed them so much we bought some to take home. Mine was the coconut cocoa and my friend got the caramel chai. They were equally delicious. Our server Brett was so attentive and friendly. He accidentally put in a sandwich option incorrectly and when we mentioned it, he immediately told the chef to make the sandwich we had ordered with a cheerful attitude. The only ding for our experience was it felt like the establishment was ready for a bit of a refresh, (there was some chipped paint around and a light out in the bathroom) also although the decor was charming, it felt like it needed a good cleaning. I think they also missed an opportunity for a more upscale ambiance when the wall of teas had sloppy handwriting on the tins.
