Having discovered Ethio Beans we no longer need to make the journey up to North Broadway. Four of us shared the veggie combo, sambussas, ethio beans combo and the beef grill "sundae". What a delight! Even took enough home for one more meal. Our experience at other Ethiopian restaurants is that often the flavors seem too similar. But here, each was unique. The Injira was perfect as well. This experience was absolutely mind blowing. At first, I thought the pricing both of the food and the items for sale in the store was a bit much, especially considering portion size, but by the first few bites, I'm resigned to give them all my money. Flavors are so deep yet approachable, like home cooking with a spicy twist. The injera was so tangy and soft, and I immediately fell in love with them it mitmitta spice blend. Perfect heat. The only downside is that if you ask for water, the default is to give you bottled instead of tap. It also takes a while to receive the items, but understand that it is all made to order. Service could be more attentive, but the understanding is that it's casual and you can approach the owner if you need anything during your dining experience. So good. read more

I was disappointed by the experience I had at this store. While the owner was very friendly and welcoming, Once she had realized I am from different State, she totally started to price gouge every item in the store. Conveniently, every item in the store had no price on it. She just threw prices on items based on judging on how bad she thought I was interested in it. For example, I bought the 10lbs Masakal Teff for $40 few times previously at the same store. When she realized I usually buy online ( It is $65) and she knew that she said she sells it for $52. Etheopian Coffee from the Yirgacheffe region fresh roasted daily. It's as good as it gets, and it's only $10 a pound, or you can have them brew a cup for you. They also sell Etheopian spices and have a little cafe in the store serving Etheopian food at lunch and dinner time. read more

I went for lunch today, not knowing what to expect. I have always enjoyed Ras Dashen in Chicago, which has closed. The food was outstanding. I shared the Ethio Beans plate with someone, and it was plenty of food. A good mix of meat and veggies, and very nicely spiced and cooked. There was chicken curry, which was fantastic, a beef dish, lentils, cabbage, collard greens, carrots, a different lentil dish, and of course, injera. I will definitely go back, as I don't enjoy the trek to the north side of Chicago. The interior of the restaurant is nothing special. Kind of like a fast food atmosphere. read more

We were so excited to find Ethiopian food in the western suburbs! We had the vegetarian dishes and the chicken doro wat. All very good. Enjoyed traditional coffee and some popcorn as "dessert". I'm so excited that there's an Ethiopian restaurant in the Western Suburbs. I ordered a large combo meal for carry-out, and it was so huge that it came in a tray. For $35 it was enough for 3, maybe 4 people as it came with 5-6 samples of Ethiopian dishes and about 2.5 large pieces of injera. Tried this place for the first time, had some great tibs and kitifo, my wife had the veggie platter. The lady in charge is gracious and pleasant.
