He inspected the outside of the fireplace and we do need work out there. We have used Chimney Works before when we had a fire. And we were pleased with the result. I did call James to ask some follow up questions about the sweep and soot since someone said they expected soot to be removed. Soot is embedded and I did not expect it all to be removed. I had questions and they were answered.

Robert did a great job filling cracks and building the parge (protective layer inside the fireplace) while both Russ and Robert completed outside work, replacing the crown, improving the flues and flue caps.
