"Little prospect mountain" The location of this property is outstanding and as they recommend, make sure you have 4 Wheel drive or at least all-wheel drive in the snowy months. It's centrally located two minutes from downtown, Estes Park. The exterior of the cabin is nice. The interior of the cabin is OK but more upgrades were needed in my opinion. The kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms and door handles had been upgraded already so at least that was a plus...the cabin was probably one of the most stocked rentals I have been too, which made me think maybe the owner uses it often?!!!! Anyway, the cabin sits on the top of a hill and the views are nice I must say. there is a wraparound deck to ensure you can see every angle of the city. NOW, the CONS--To me the beds and the pillows def need to be upgraded. We had a TV in the master bedroom that was not working since February 6 the "note said"...unacceptable...we had a door knob that just came off in one of the guest rooms upstairs, as my fiancé was trying to pull the door closed as the baby slept ...we had a mysterious shower leak upstairs that entered one of the spotlights in the kitchen that caused us to use mixing bowls to catch water in the kitchen. Now, we did have a maintenance guy to come out immediately( thank u) but, was supposed to come back to re-inspect and do a couple things but he never did. The next issue was we never understood how the heating in the house works??!!! We have used VRBO for many years and I have never had to call management to ask how does the air-conditioner or heat work....it's usually always self-explanatory and in rare cases it may be written in the check in information book at the unit. Now, there was a thermostat in each room but we never saw any vents in the ceiling or the floors. The fireplace did help the living room but the bedrooms esp upstairs were much cooler, As it was 4° outside... The baby nor the grandparents liked that too much....next the front door lock was sticking...It took myself a few minutes to figure out how to open/lock the door. Someone who didn't have a good bit of finger strength would not have been able to lock the door. Luckily I'm good with my hands and figuring things out. You had to pull it really hard because the lock apparently did not line up correctly. It may sound minor but it can be frustrating when it's snowing outside and you can't lock or open the door for a few seconds.. This is something that should have been tested when it was installed especially if different people are going to be coming in and out who may not be familiar with the lock... I follow military standards so this was also not acceptable .... In the master bedroom downstairs the frame at the end of the bed was not even attached and just leaning against the bed ...For me not being able to use the garage was disappointing even thou I was aware of that..This is a review!! I understand maybe tools and things for the rentals are kept there but usage really makes a big deal in the winter when you have to otherwise load your family up while it's snowing and snow is entering the vehicle at the same time. That's called convenience and people will pay extra for that... also it's no way to block out morning light.... there are shades in one of the bedrooms downstairs but they are literally white so it does no good at all. In the upstairs room, nothing...No sleeping late on vacation here .. So in closing, I originally said that I thought maybe the owners spent time here but obviously that's not the case. It is run by a company and I don't know if they just have too many units to pay attention to this one but whatever monetary amount it is people pay, you would think things would be up to par!!!! My parents operate multiple rentals in central fl and has for over 40 years. "THERE IS NO" way I would allow renters to stay at a unit and have the master bedroom TV not working when ppl are paying their money to coming to stay at my unit while on vacation!!!!! I would use my own money if there was an issue to make sure it was a tv working . Ridiculous....The only reason why am not giving this place one star is the point of contact followed up with me very fast and the maintenance man did initially come quickly. Otherwise, had I read all of the previous reviews on all the sites, I probably would not have rented here.. Don't get me wrong we were able to relax and have a good time despite the issues as that's how we role but, this unit needs a little bit off love and attention...out here!!! GO ARMY read more

The cabin was peaceful and quite...exactly what we were looking for on this trip. The small cabin was well equipped with all the kitchen items we needed for our stay. The only suggestion I have is to leave more clear instructions for the thermostat. Our first night was a little cold because we couldn't get the heat to kick in at all. Luckily, the extra blankets and the fireplace helped keep us cozy that night. Lastly, if you're going to leave options for trash removal from the cabin that state you can use the garage, then the garage should be unlocked for that use. read more

DO NOT RENT A HOUSE WITH THIS COMPANY!!! If I could give zero stars I would. We stayed in a nice house with our family for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day the dishwasher flooded and quit working as well as the hot water heater. Multiple calls and emails were not answered. We boiled water to hand wash dishes. Upon calling the next day at 9:00 am the response was "we will get someone out". Nothing more or less. Never received answers to numerous emails and calls regarding getting our deposit back. Still have not heard from them so I called the house owner. Waiting, still waiting. Worst property management company I have experienced in my 30 years of renting houses. read more

The cabin in great location and we got to see our share of mule deer and elk. We got there at dark GPS took us to back of resort, found entrance, couldn't get in called the number given. No one answered or ever called back. So dark couldn't find address pitch black at house. Cabin nice older, wish I don't have to see mouse traps all over and a big humidifier would be nice. But we had a wonderful time big table great for games meals. It was comfortable clean. We love Estes Park read more

We stayed in a cute and very clean 2 bedroom cabin with a loft on the historic McGregor Ranch which is one of the most incredibly beautiful spots in Estes Park! We awoke to horses grazing outside our window and watched hummingbirds while we ate our meals. Beds were comfortable and although the kitchen was a bit small we easily cooked all our meals. Our booking agent Jesse always answered our calls (even after hours) and was able to help with any questions we had. The RMN Park now requires timed entry passes for parking which we didn't know but fortunately we were able to walk down our road 10 minutes to the RMNP Gem Lake trailhead for several beautiful hikes. The cabin felt miles away but is really a 3 minute drive to Estes Park. We couldn't have found a better spot in Estes and were so sad to leave. Hoping we can return some day! read more

We had 3 families and stayed at "stunning views in the Rocky Mnts" and it was AWESOME, The house was nothing short of perfect, clean, remodeled kitchen, added family room on top of the already wonderful family room and another downstairs. This house would have easily supported 5 or 6 couples. Estes Park Central had to move us here at the last minute as the house we had originally booked had water issues due to the summer water shortage and the relocation went smooth. We booked "Starlight in the Rockies" for 2 nights for our son's wedding and we enjoyed the property. The rooms were clean, the amenities were well stocked and the view was wonderful. Our only concern was the entry instructions. We received the code but was not told it was for the 2nd floor door so it took a phone call to the assistant and a few extra minutes before we could enter. They did refund my entire security deposit promptly which was nice. I would stay there again. read more

After our first rental in Black Hawk was cancelled by the homeowner, my family and I were excited to stay in the Rocky Mountain Sunshine Cabin. To our dismay, 24 hours before we were supposed to check in, we were informed that we would not be able to stay in that cabin as someone else was staying their and the dates had not been "blocked" off the calendar. Do yourself a favor, if you want to stay at one of their cabins. Roll in dust and cobwebs and sleep outdoors. You'll have a similar experience and it won't cost as much as this rip off. We stayed at an Estes Park Central cabin and had a terrible experience with our place. First off, I had several questions before my arrival date but my emails and phone calls went ignored. They also look for ways to take away your damage deposit for the most minor infraction such as leaving any garbage or parking in the driveway incorrectly. I talked to several people in town that said this company has had several complaints and that the real estate council in town has been looking into this as a possible scam. I have no idea if this is true but after my experience I wouldn't doubt it. read more

My husband and i stayed at Little Prospect Mountain Home for our honeymoon. The home was amazing: 3 bedrooms (2 king 1 queen) and 3.5 bathrooms; floor-to-ceiling windows in living room, which showed OUTSTANDING views; large living room with two gas fire places; large, updated kitchen (fully stocked kitchen...pots, pans, gadgets, etc); garage; lots and lots of windows in every room and most of them opened. The process to book the home was easy. I received the damage deposit back within a week of checking out. One of two complaints we had was that we had no idea how to work the AC/heat. It wasn't central air, i believe, but there was a type of thermostat and it wasn't doing anything when we tinkered with it. No vents, no window units, so not sure?? I would suggest supplying directions to use it, as they did with wifi, dishwasher, TV, etc. Second complaint would be the bed sheets. UGH, they were terrible!! So terrible that it caused us not to sleep well. They are incredibly thin...they almost felt like disposable hospital sheets or something. All in all, though, we were pleased and will be back! read more

It was great to work with Estes Park Central on our vacation rental over Labor Day weekend 2017. Scott respected my wish list, which included very specific dates and location within a specific price range. He sent four listings that fit all needs, and this was the one I liked the most. EPC was available to answer questions and their number is posted clearly in the cabin. We had no issues that required attention. We had a great time in this cabin by the river. We've been here many times, but this was our first experience with a vacation rental in Estes Park. The location cannot be beat! It is so beautiful here, right on the river, with comfy chairs at the riverbank. The inside of the cottage is very modern and very clean. There is comfortable room for four people inside this cabin. It has an open floor plan and a large back deck. The between-the-glass blinds were nice looking, easy to use, and in great shape. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed for cooking and grilling. This vacation rental is taken care of very well. I have wonderful memories of relaxation and quiet family time. One note: the outside paint on this cabin does not seem suited for the area. It's a very rustic, quiet neighborhood, and this cabin is a bright baby blue. It does not have curb appeal, but DO NOT let it keep you from renting. This cabin has amazing things to offer! read more

I write this review only after I have given Estes Park Central multiple chances to correct their mistakes. My family and I rented Deer Mountain Retreat. From day one the lights in the addition to the cabin were flickering. On the last night we smelled electrical burning in another bedroom. We located the electrical box which was hidden under a curtain (fire hazard) and extension rod. It was 12:30am, and we decided to call the company. After multiple attempts we didn't get through. So, we called the non-emergency fire department line. They sent out a fireman who told us that the electrical box was hot. He even showed us with a thermal pen. We could even see sparks in the electrical box. He stated that it would probably have started a fire! The fireman turned off the breaker so a fire wouldn't start and we had no electricity in the addition for the remainder of our stay. He was also upset no one was answering from the company, and said they need a 24 hour service desk for these situations. The next morning, a lady from the company called me back. She stated that they turn off phones from 9pm-9am and will send someone to look into the problem. She also stated that she would have someone contact me about the experience, in which case no one did. I have sent multiple emails and calls to finally get through to someone! This is the only response I have received, an email from Mr. Rainer the president of Estes Park Central that reads... "Kristie, I am aware that there was an electrical issue during the last night you stayed at Deer Mountain Retreat. I am sorry that you had this experience. Neither you, the owner or EPC could have anticipated this issue. There was also an issue with our 24 hour answering system. I am aware that you were not able to get a hold of us. This has been resolved. We credit your account $50 as a result of your experience. Rainer President" $50 for a night that was ruined. We were unable to go to bed until 2:30 am, and had to drive for hours in the morning. This was an electrical issue that could of had grave consequences if we didn't call for help! EPC was not of any help to us during the situation, nor after. The worst customer service! They really should be ashamed and embarrassed by the way they have handled this situation. read more

We ended up settling on a place not managed by them, but she was so helpful I wanted to write a review, which I feel says a lot. Very disappointed with the estes park central management. we stayed at the rocky mountain peak view house for a family reunion. The house was OK, basement was poorly maintained, bad rugs in bathroom, outside traffic made it impossible to sit in the small porch. The house cleaning fee was 200 dollars for 3 nghts. I personally cleaned all the dishes and put in the dishwasher and cleaned the house off the garbage and left in the garage. The cleaning ladies did not even put away the garbage and the garage is overflowing with plastic bags. On top off it, the managemwent charged me extra $ 39.50 for dishes uncleaned. I never left a single dish in the sink and loaded the dishwasher and I am pretty sure turned it on before I left to the airport to catch my flight. They deducted $39.50 from my $500 deposit. I am going to fight for it back. Poor service and bad treatment. Never happened to me in my previous house rental with any other management Received a reply from the owner that he has sent me picture of dirty dishes in the dishwasher. he sent me 4 photos - 2 plates and a mug. It is only possible that dishwasher did not turn on after I pushed the start button. This brand dishwasher is not what I have. This kind of response is just plain fleecing the visitors to estes park and not wanting to return their deposit in full. We have stayed in vacation rentals all over the world and never once had this feeling of bad taste in the mouth. And I never complain but this time even though the amount is small, the way it has been done is not acceptable. I will only accept the refund from the company for the remaining amount as soon as possible. read more

The Cabin we rented was right in the heart of everything in Estes Park which was great. Downtown was literally a 2 min drive and you could even walk there in a few minutes if you don't mind the hills:) The entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park was only 5 minutes away as well. The house was as expected, no surprises at all. It is an older Home but it suited our needs for the 4 days we were there. We knew the cabin did not have A/C which is common in the area but it was some 90 plus degree weather while we were there and even with the provided fans (thank you) the house held heat very well and it would not get cooler until after midnight and then hot gain by 7:30 in the morning. I would suggest some ceiling fans for the home that might help circulate the air but again it was an odd hot week while we were there. Just be prepared if you come during the hot months and you'll be fine. Otherwise great location and home! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your rental home! read more

The communication was pretty good, but beyond that, we would never rent through them again. They use your money for weeks, then they nickel & dime you and make you buy any basic supplies you might run out of--like toilet paper, or Kleenex tissues (our unit came furnished with 1 tissue), or a $20 propane tank! Then they make it difficult to unsubscribe from their notifications when you checked no to them to begin with. It was not a good experience. read more

Dan-If the homes and remodeling project Estes Park Central are offering to complete are anything like the work they did for our home BE WARE it was awful. Installing a keyless door lock resulted in a compromised door that now has to be totally replaced. EPC will not take responsibility for the work commissioned or the cost of the replacement door. I cannot imagine a home being built by this substandard contractor and having to work with this lousy business owner. He lacks integrity and honesty two attributes needed in all businesses. read more

My family and I stayed at one of the premier Estes Park Central Properties and it was extremely nice. The house and furnishings were lovely and the location was fantastic - close to town and close to the Fall River RMNP entrance. I did think more lighting over the staircase would be a plus but not a deal breaker. I would have given a five star except I felt the added fees were ridiculous - not sure why a housecleaning fee was added to the rental when the rental itself was fairly expensive. I felt all of the rules about garbage in the can, wash a load of towels, run the dishwasher, etc. were excessive, especially when you had to pay a cleaning fee in addition to the rental fee. Again the house was lovely and my dealings with Estes Park Central were great. I would definitely rent from EPC again and maybe even rent this same house if I need that much room again. read more

I just recently stayed at a property managed by Estes Park Central that I found through homeaway.com (property name is Secluded, you can find it on HomeAway and read a more detailed review there) .. I had a great experience with my stay and witnessing all these poor reviews, I felt compelled to write about my own experience so that others who are trying to decide if they should book a property with them or not can make a more informed decision. Overall we had a great stay. The property was clean and just as advertised on HomeAway. The pictures and the description matched exactly. There were no surprises or let downs or disappointments. On the other hand, we were blown away by how amazing the home was and didn't want to leave! As far as Estes Park Central as a management company, I will tell you that they were excellent with handling our situation. We actually landed in Denver on the exact day that a huge unexpected mid-May snow storm hit north west Colorado obviously affecting the Estes Park area and making it hard and unsafe for us to drive up north to our rental. Barbara and Scott from Estes Park Central were available to us the whole time answering any questions we had (via phone AND email) and giving us updates on the weather and road conditions. In the end we made the wise decision to stay put in Boulder for the night and let the snow storm pass. The next morning Scott continued to update us via email and ensured us the home would be ready for our arrival. Once we finally arrived, the driveway had just been freshly plowed making it easy (and safe) for us to drive in to the house. Coming from Miami with no snow experience whatsoever I am very grateful for their guidance throughout that time of uncertainty. I believe that this unprecedented situation was handled very well by this company. And even though we could of had a fit and been upset over a situation that noone had any control over, we made the best out of it, enjoyed Boulder for a night, played in the snow and made ever lasting memories! I had a wonderful experience using Estes Park Central. They were very accommodating, easy to work with, and gave timely responses to my questions. Get Away to the Rockies was a beautiful home that had a gorgeous view of the mountains. It was clean upon arrival and we were even given a small list of recommended activities we could partake in around town. Estes Park is a lovely little town and Estes Park Central was a great company to work with, setting us up with a beautiful home in the Rockies! 10/10 would recommend going to Estes Park and using Estes Park Central to find a beautiful place to stay. read more

Rented a vacation home from these people for the 2015 Christmas week. The place was misrepresented in several ways, and lacked some pretty important essentials. More than that the place had many dead flies near all the windows and doors, and was cold when we arrived. Obviously, it wasn't cleaned before we arrived. I got no satisfaction from them, and I don't think they cared. read more

In mid-September 2016, I booked a property through Estes Park Central. I originally reserved the property for 3 nights, then I believe I requested to change it to 2 nights. I have been billed for 3. Since I do not have proof that I requested the change, I accept that. Maybe I just think I asked for the change. When my husband and I, along with our friends arrived, there was dust on the furniture, dust and hair on the heater vent and by the shower, dirt and a cobweb on the vanity light over the bathroom sink, as well as dirt and dust on the heat register. This company charged a booking fee (essentially, I think, a property management fee) and a $95 cleaning fee. When I challenged being charged a cleaning fee for a dirty cottage, and provided pictures, the company president did not offer to reduce or refund the cleaning fee. Instead he indicated that upon arrival I should have called and they would have sent a cleaning crew. First, since this is a privately-owned property with no on-site management, I didn't know I could and, second, in my opinion it's the company's responsibility to ensure the accommodations are clean. I find their customer service unsatisfactory and will not book through Estes Park Central again. read more
