The rooms were clean and comfortable and the proximity to the main shopping area is great. Parking is very cramped and when fully booked you may have to use overflow parking across the street. There is no elevator so if you're on the upper floors you'll have to haul your luggage up steps.

There is an absolutely ridiculous number of rules surrounding weddings and events here, to the point that they became intrusive rather than reasonable. We were refused permission to put stakes in the ground for a pavilion. The venue also required a specific bartending service that, in our experience, served noticeably watered-down drinks, refused to allow shots in an apparent effort to keep guests from getting drunk, and, frankly, made awful drinks on top of it. One of the final issues came at the end of the wedding. We were already forced to end the event at 10:00 PM, and less than fifteen minutes later, while several guests were still simply trying to arrange rides back to their hotels, the property owner was already harassing and pressuring them to leave. There is a difference between maintaining reasonable rules for your property and exercising an excessive degree of control over a wedding and its guests. Unfortunately, this consistently felt like the latter. Overall, it is a genuinely lovely location, but it is overshadowed by an absolutely tyrannical property owner who desperately needs to rein in her sense of control. Rather than simply being the person who provided the venue, her behavior became an unfortunate and lasting memory for several members of our family who attended the wedding. That should never be one of the things guests remember most about someone's wedding. It's clear her goal is clearly to make as much profit with the least amount of hassle or effort possible. Highly recommend going elsewhere for your wedding.

I popped in to check out the continental breakfast and walked out with only a tea. Just a bunch of cheap, sugary products (donettes, nutrigrain bars, hostess danishes). It is as though they have not thought to clean the carpets in quite some time. Under the bed is a nice layer of dust. The whole hotel could use a moist cloth and a good wipe down. It's a beautiful setting, but several issues impacted my experience. First, I felt the advertising was a bit misleading. I saw a pool listed on Orbitz, but I discovered there isn't a pool anywhere on the property. Instead, there are two above-ground hot tubs. I went to the one on the second level, but I found climbing the narrow metal stairs with wet feet to be a bit dangerous. I also noticed that the rooms are slightly dated and showing their age. In my room, the curtain rod was actually falling out of the wall, which told me they need to keep up with better maintenance. You should also know there is no lobby or front desk here; I just received a code via text message and entered it to get into my room. While efficient, it felt a bit impersonal. My biggest complaint, however, was the construction noise. I didn't realize they are currently expanding the inn and building two new buildings on the same lot. Unfortunately, my room was right next to the construction site, and I had to deal with loud noise all morning. I think this place has a lot of potential once the upgrades are done, but between the maintenance issues and the noise, I didn't find it to be the relaxing getaway I was hoping for.

When I say this lady went above and beyond and didn't have to, she did! When we arrived, first off there is only 12 rooms, and each room has an actual key!! This place is literally nestled on a side of a mountain w other little resort around. The check in process was so cute. Katie checked us in gave us some yummy cookies and I even bought a cute 4seasons inn sticker to put on my car. The room we booked was a private suite w a private spa grill and seating area. There is seating area by the grill and by the spa. And it's also on the 2nd floor just an fyi if you're wheel chair bound or whatever limitations you may have. So we go into our room and she literally decorated the whole room for us for our anniversary and had a bottle of wine w two wine glasses and fire wood already in our room for us to start a fire. The room was VERY spacious. Has a kitchen that worked a full coffee maker. A good size fridge and the freezer worked amazing. The toiletries that come w the room smell just fantasists. The best morning I woke up to wild turkeys on the ground just gobbling away and elk and deer. There is a community grills and a spa and a few other amenities. The thing I love about this place is it's literally less than 5 mins from the National park and far enough away to be secluded but 8 mins from EVERYTHING in town. And in Estes park there is so much cramed in that town! I LOVED everything. Not a thing was bad about my whole stay.

The fire place a nice to cozy up to after a long hike. Oh, it may be a small thing, but the shower had excellent water pressure. It soothed my aching muscles after a hike to Dream Lake... It so close to the Rocky Mountain park and Estes has many wonderful shops and restaurants. The glass blowing shop was very interesting to watch the artist create vase right before my eyes. Kids would love it. Oh did I mention the hot tub.... The staff are very kind and accommodating. They bent over backwards to make our stay the best. We had a "incident" with the fireplace... totally our fault but the staff was so kind, understanding, and very helpful. We will be coming back!!!
