The entrance is right before the light of the freeway entrance (San Pablo Ave & John Muir Fwy) and right after the Safeway parking lot entrance. To enter sucks, you still have to wait in the freeway/Safeway traffic before you can access the entrance. To exit, I will either have to take the freeway or cross over lanes to U turn. Morning and late afternoon traffic is brutal over here so... Just saw a car pull up from the Safeway direction, so it is possible to enter/exit through the Safeway parking lot. Still not pretty but definitely easier than the street. Everything about this place is the same as any other Electrify charging station... charging speeds, rates, etc. I hope these chargers will be well maintained without out of order stations as often as other locations. Just happy it's finally open with WAY MORE charging stations than that at Lucky. Not sure how long the no wait will last especially since there is no place to park while you wait for the next available charger. That may change once construction is done over here. We will see...

You enter, ( it's one way) and pull into one of the open spaces ( there's at least 12), click your card, and charge away! These are all fast level three chargers, and they reasonably priced. The entire building is immaculately clean, and if you don't want to hang in your car while it's charging, there's an enclosed lobby, where you can sit and enjoy some quiet time, grab a snack from the vending machine, or get some last-minute things done on your phone or laptop. Once you're done, and you head out of the exit, it's a one-way street, so it makes it easy to jump back into the thick of the San Francisco streets!

There is a security camera which is fantastic. There are lots of places to eat around here so you can enjoy and relax, while your car charges. I noticed after 5pm is when this location gets packed. However, the EV community is very friendly so you can ask all kinds of questions especially if you're like me, who's a new owner with an electric car. Side note: there are several APPS you can search for charging stations. I primarily use two: "Chargepoint" and "Plugshare." EV Charger Expert proposed installing a smart plug that would monitor demand, and should demand overtax the existing service, throttle back demand from the car charger. That cost $1550 plus a $600 smart plug. The work was done quickly and it worked for Night One. I'm happy.

Overall, the job was completed successfully, passed inspection, and avoided a costly panel upgrade. But there were also a few areas where the process could have been handled more proactively. What I appreciated: * Technical expertise & cost savings: My service panel is limited (90A), and other contractors immediately suggested an expensive underground service upgrade. Kirill performed load calculation and recommended using an Emporia Pro charger with dynamic load management. That solution allowed me to safely add both the EV charging outlet and the microwave circuit without upgrading the service panel. * Permits & documentation: They provided the required licensing, insurance documentation and handled the city permitting and inspection process. The final inspection passed without issue. * Responsiveness: Communication was generally clear via email regarding quotes, scheduling, and permit updates. Where I believe the process could improve: We encountered a major obstacle when it was discovered that the crawl space was blocked by a concrete foundation wall, preventing wire routing as originally planned. Initially, there wasn't a clear alternative proposed. I ended up suggesting routing the wiring through the ceiling instead. While the team evaluated and successfully implemented that solution, I would have preferred if alternative routing strategies had been proactively identified earlier in the process. I also want to acknowledge Erin's craftsmanship. When we ultimately routed the wiring through the ceiling, he carefully navigated around existing plumbing lines and made precise cuts to minimize disruption. The finish work was clean and well executed. In the end, the installation works well, passed inspection, and achieved the primary goal of adding EV charging without a major panel upgrade. I would recommend them for homeowners with limited electrical capacity, especially if dynamic load management is needed.

Parking: Located in the Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley, there were plenty of opens spots. It's a good mix of head in and rear in chargers. Environment: The mall seems fairly empty when we arrived to charge. Next to the handicap charger, there's also a Clipper Creek charger. Some of the charging spots are designated as 30 min general parking. You can also go to the Bass Pro Shops nearby to kill some time, but it's a bit of a walk. Restaurants and restrooms can be found at the mall. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Plenty of open chargers and it wasn't too busy. The place was clean and there was a trash can available.

Day to day as the project proceeded, there were problems and we'd solve them. No project of this scale will proceed without a few hiccups. In retrospect I think it went very smoothly. I found 100% of the personnel to be professional, dedicated, knowledgeable, and cheerful. They did everything they said they would, at the price agreed-on, and I'm very pleased with the result.
