Zapp electric is great. Jude does an awesome job. When I first meet Jude he came to address the issue with a gas stove that would cause the breaker to trip. It turned out the breaker was installed incorrectly and the entire panel had installation issues. I felt so much better knowing the entire panel had been inspected and all the issues addressed. Jude also checked to see why several can lights would not work. They had been installed but never connected. Guess we should have hired a better home inspector. Some time later Jude came out and installed Led lighting in my home to reduce my energy spend and his pricing was very reasonable . Our home was loaded with can lights and they are very expense to use. Jude designed and installed a new system. Shortly after we begin seeing our electric bill decrease. OMG, this electrician business is sooooo unreliable. The owner Jude is nice and he helped me out a couple years ago but even then he was extremely difficult to get a hold of, although I see in his other reviews, he is responsive to others. I am a senior in a wheelchair and it was like pulling nails to get him to come and see if he could help me, told me he'd be in touch the following week and 3 weeks later still not a word. It feels awful to just be discarded like an old rag that is of no use. Go figure, my money is just as green as anyone else' but I guess my needs weren't profitable enough for him to do some work for me, maybe it's because I live in Antioch but I live in a very good neighborhood off of Hillcrest. My AC guy recommended him a few years back and that is why I called Zapp Electric but I have to let my AC guy know what happened. He repeatedly made promises to call me back, to schedule and each time he dropped the ball. with a projected sincerity he'd apologize and promise again, but again just nothing but disrespect for me. read more

We needed a light in the pantry and more (20 amp) power into the home office. Jude and Jordan showed up on time and made quick work of it. I had an array of electrical issues in my house, some caused by the prior owner and some caused by an inexperienced contractor that I had hired. Jude needed several trips over the course of a few weeks to straighten out the issues. He even came out on a Sunday to finish the job I am extremely pleased with his customer service and his work. I needed to have a smoking light fixture checked. I called a couple other electrical contractors on YELP, never getting a call back. I called Zapp and I was pleasantly surprised to make an appointment for early Saturday morning. Jude arrived promptly at 8am. I felt bad that it was so early on a Saturday and apologized, he said the earlier the better! :-D. I showed Jude the fixture that needed checking, he checked it and lucky for me the fixture wasn't the issue. He pointed out a piece that was in the fixture that wasn't necessary and he removed them from the 3 other light fixtures. I'm not sure how long he was there, but he didn't charge me for the service call. WOW! They are a good lot. We had a few snags in the projects we needed their help with but no fault of their own being it was of a personal nature. We had them change out some switches and install new lighting on both sides of the house. I've used Zapp Electric a few times now and have to say they are the best electricians I have used, and I have used a few in the area. First up, late last year I needed a 50A 240V line in my garage for an air compressor and adding another 120V GFCI circuit on the garage wall next to my work bench. The job was done quickly and above my expectations with regards to quality and workmanship. Jude was very flexible about scheduling and was able to fit me in quickly. Before they left, everything was cleaned up as if they were never there! Second up, about 10 days ago I needed another 50A circuit added for a hot tub. They ran the power up and into my attic, across the entire house and dropped it out down the wall on the other side of the house to a cut-off box, then wired up the hot tub. Again, excellent work done efficiently and professionally. Jude and Jordan are great guys and I don't feel like I need to worry about anything they do in the slightest. They are very upfront and honest about any potential obstacles when you tell them what you want and make sure that you are happy with the job.
