10 stars for tis company! Esteban LD is the best landscape company I've ever worked with. They renewed my 20 yr old front- and backyard in 3 days, starting with a brand new irrigation system! Then they took out my old grass in the backyard and put in artificial turf, absolutely gorgeous! They also took out overgrown plants and cacti and finished up with new rock. They even added a walking path without me asking and repaired a paver from my existing pad. In short, they are professional, deliver more than expected, and they made me a good deal. The boss was here often three times a day to oversee, and the workers are abrolutely amazing. They are the experts, and they even cleaned up perfectly after they were done. Also to mention, Mr. Esteban has 40 years of experience, and Becca at the office is an angel. read more

These guys were awesome. I was tired just watching how hard they worked. They started and finished on time and made terrific recommendations. I will definitely use them again. read more

Esteban truly focuses on doing things the right way. He provided thoughtful guidance throughout the process and was flexible when it came to making upgrades. The quality of the work really stands out with perfectly aligned pavers and a single, seamless stretch of artificial turf that looks very natural What impressed us most was the attention to what's underneath: heavy-duty irrigation PVC built to last, along with sleeves installed for future paver or pool work that can easily handle bobcat equipment. Pricing was better than competitors, and the office staff was kind, responsive, and hardworking. They provided project blueprints and a material list the same day, allowing us to get quick HOA approval. We couldn't be happier. Our first visitors even asked for his contact information. That says it all. read more

Esteban, Becca, and the team are super professional and I felt like my needs were addressed throughout the process. The crew greeted my dog both mornings and ushered her inside so that they could begin work. I can't help but rave about feeling comfortable knowing the crew could not only start early, but care for my dog. Esteban was quick to provide rock samples and devise a plan. I'd hire them again! read more

Great experience working with Esteban LD! Esteban is very knowledgeable about important considerations like landscape grading and ensuring long-lasting quality. Esteban and his team installed our backyard over three years ago and we are still extremely happy with the quality of his work. His attention to detail was superb. Honestly, I think he cared more than I did about getting the grading right, but he was right! They arrived on time and finished the job within a reasonable amount of time. It's hard to find good contractors for this type of work, so I'm especially appreciative of Esteban Land Design's efforts. read more

If anyone needs to get their backyard fully landscaped, we finally got around to doing ours in the Fall, and used Esteban and the crew! We got drip lines, travertine border, pad and patio, all the plants and our side yard paver path/trash pad with driveway extended partially. He and his team did a great job, the company is military and first responder friendly, they had great customer service, and he and the crew were so speedy and thorough! He did everything we wanted and it has really held up. I highly recommend! read more

Our recently purchased 4-year-old home here in Merrill Ranch was in need of a substantial landscaping makeover. We invested the time to interview a number of landscaping contractors...curious about not only the cost of such an undertaking... but also their approach, their skill/technical level, their attention to detail and their ability to listen to what we were seeking to create. My husband and I were looking for a particular ambiance, something soft and welcoming, warm and inviting, no hard edges. We wanted something where friends and family could relax and be comfortable, a sort of "Zen" vibe. Said interviews revealed that there was something unique about Esteban Rodriguez of Esteban Land Design and his modus operandi to the whole process that caught our attention and intrigued us enough to assign Esteban LD the job. Our vision would ultimately come to include improved grading to move rainwater away from the foundation, pavers (patio/extended patio, a curved pathway from front to back, extended width to the driveway, "steps" in the front yard to highlight /accent our entry, and an interior courtyard), a pergola, a 3-zone irrigation system (plants/trees/potted plants), boulders, electrical runs for lighting and our fountain, and new plants and trees. Living in an HOA community requires the necessary paperwork and documentation submission. Esteban went a step above: he actually met with the HOA gentleman-in-charge, introducing himself, his company and what all he could do to enhance our property. And then there is Becca. I would describe Becca as a little bit of magic behind the scenes. Her due diligence to the paperwork and detailed documentation insured that our HOA approval came through without much of a hitch. Her warm, genuine care and concern made us feel like ours was the only project on Esteban Land Design's agenda. From start to finish, our project took about 4 weeks. Every morning like clockwork Esteban's team of hardworking men showed up on time and immediately went to work. Marvin, Hendry, Carlos, Gesles, Lazaro and Lorenzo ( we do hope we didn't miss anyone) worked with such efficiency. It was amazing watching them go about their responsibilities. Cross training was very evident; teamwork was VERY obvious. A purposeful work ethic was demonstrated each and every day. A level of craftmanship and attention to detail...that are nothing short of remarkable these days, was not lost on us. Esteban showed every day, arriving about an hour after his crew. He'd ring the bell or knock on the back door. Together we'd walk the project. He'd explain the goals for the day, inquire as to my approval of various aspects. He'd want to know what questions we might have, keenly eager to ensure that we were pleased with the work, the workmanship and the progress. He was always interested in knowing if he was achieving the "look" that we imagined. And if ever there was something from our "vision" that might prove difficult to deliver on, he would eagerly provide an acceptable solution that worked through or around the problem, leaving our imagined intent intact. The project is complete and we are now adding our personal touches of décor and ornamentation. As we look upon our yards, we could not be more pleased with what we see. We know without the slightest shadow of a doubt that we chose the right company to do the work. We selected an enterprise headed by a gentleman who instills a pride-of-workmanship in his employees, who puts in the time to train and teach them...up front and along the way. We engaged with someone honorable, someone who refuses to take shortcuts or compromise on the quality of his craft. We would encourage anyone in need of an undertaking such as ours to go to Esteban Land Design's website. That first step will introduce you to what you can expect. And we join the myriad of 5-star reviews in saying that we highly, HIGHLY recommend Esteban Land Design. With sincere appreciation and gratitude for a job impeccably done, Steven and Lynn Lamb - Merrill Ranch Anthem read more

My husband and I were so extremely appreciative of Esteban and his true desire to make our Vision Come True from the very 1st visit we connected to him and his high extreme regard for "Quality" and it showed all the way to the end of the project!! His crew and him worked diligently to make us happy and worked 'around' our timeline that we needed and special circumstances that came up..such as new puppy and holiday scheduling. Highly Recommend Esteban and TEAM (Becca was extremely helpful and very communicative throughout the entire process!) for QUALITY, Pricing and professionalism! read more

Any way of giving Esteban and his crew 6 starts? They were wonderful. We were referred to Esteban by a neighbor. A call to Becca in the office and within a few hours Esteban was at the house evaluating our current (failing) irrigation system. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. If it was for work conflicts his crew would have been there with in the next day or two. Five days later (as we requested) his crew was at the house bright and early. Within 2 days they completed the entire installation of an upgraded irrigation system. The whole crew was super nice, outstanding work, never seemed bothered if we asked questions and EXCEEDED our expectations. They even noticed planter boxes down a walk way and included them on the new system - something I hadn't thought was an option. Becca, as the office coordinator, was outstanding as well. Very responsive and nice to talk to on the phone, what a sweetheart. I will be recommending Esteban and his team to anyone who asks. read more

Esteban and his team repaired , upgraded and installed a complete irrigation system in my yard in late 2024 and did a very great job., Come May 2025, suddenly it quit working! Esteban came out quickly to review the problem. What he found is that a plumber fixing an unrelated problem had inadvertently turned off the yard water supply. A very simple fix but Esteban found it quickly and I am back in business! Great company.. read more

Esteban Land Design has done it again! I am amazed at the integrity of this company. We hired Esteban last December to create our gorgeous backyard landscape. With 40 years of experience, we knew we were in good hands. The project was performed with engineering expertise and beauty that exceeded our expectations! Esteban, the owner and his office manager, Becca, worked tirelessly to ensure everything was done to perfection. We were thrilled with the results! Sadly though, one of the ficus trees didn't make it. We understand these things can happen due to extreme weather conditions. Becca assured me they would take care of us once the tree planting season began, despite the time that had passed since the original planting. Well, it's that time of year, and they scheduled the replacement of the tree this past week. When the tree arrived, I was in awe because the tree was so big, beautiful, and healthy! It was obvious the replacement tree was much more expensive than the original tree that was planted. Who does that these days? People with big hearts. It's touching to see people in business today who genuinely care about you and go above and beyond out of the kindness of their hearts. Please do yourself a favor and choose Esteban Land Design to do your landscaping and create your own little paradise. They will help you every step of the way, and you can just relax knowing you have the best in the business going above and beyond for you. read more

Decided to redo our front landscaping and one name in particular kept popping upon numerous sites: Nextdoor App, Angi, etc. They were all reviews from extremely satisfied customers of Esteban Land Design. We were thrilled with his design, efficiency, attention to detail, hands on approach and affordability. It's not very often these days that you see the owner at the job site overseeing the project. His entire team is hard working and professional. He truly loves what he does and it shows. We've already had people knock on our door to ask who did our yard. Thank you for not only meeting our expectations but exceeding them! Absolutely amazing service!! read more

I am incredibly pleased with the work Esteban and his crew have done in my yard. They replaced the old drip system, contoured the land to push water away from the house, cut back and removed overly mature plants, redesigned a rock formation into something much more aesthetically pleasing, designed paver pathways and planted new low maintenance species. I'm thrilled with the change and the great ideas Esteban had to improve my property. The work was completed quickly and professionally. I definitely recommend this company. I am a "snowbird". I have delt with Esteban Land Design for the last couple years for various issues with my landscape watering system. His crew has spent a couple Fall days cleaning up my yard after I had come back after being gone for 6 months & made piles of cuttings which they removed & blew my yard clean of 6 months of leaves, debris & my cuttings. Last summer, while I was gone, I had several 3/4" water feeder breaks in which Esteban, at my request, sent out someone to find the breaks & repair them. His pricing was very reasonable for both the yard cleanup & as well for the emergency leak repairs to the watering system. The watering system was installed by another contractor in 2012. This late Winter & early Spring (2024), I experienced more issues with my existing watering system. Several additional breaks occurred. I became very concerned that leaving this summer (2024) was going to result in severe damage to my watering system resulting in the loss of much of the established plants/trees/bushes I called Esteban & asked him to come over & give me a price to replace the entire system, to include the removal of any of the old 3/4 " tubing as needed, the addition of 2 new commercial water valves & a new commercial grade control box. In addition, I wanted the entire new system to be PVC--not the 3/4" tubing that had given me so much trouble over the past 12 years. His crew came to my home on a Wednesday morning early (5:30am) & the entire job was completed by Friday @ Noon! Also, In that time period, they did some major trimming of 4 tall Mexican palms & 2 Pineapple palms & disposed of all the cuttings. I am very impressed with the crew's quality of work, their attention to detail & the way my yards looked after their work had been completed: as if nothing had happened! This installation should last many years longer & give me trouble free irrigation for a couple decades---thanks Esteban Land Design!! read more

I wish so much I could give him less than one star. He does not deserve one star. I hired Esteban through home advisor. He showed up late. HOURS LATE. Talked the big talk. Gave me a quote and then said he would return to do the job. I made arrangements to be home that day and he showed up almost 5 hours late!! He had another guy with him who spoke zero English who he left to do the job. Communication was impossible so I had no idea if this person knew what was going on or anything. Skip 1 month ahead and I noticed that the bushes in the front were dying so I set it to water them more thinking it was the heat. Still dying another month later so today I did a test and the bubblers in the front do not work. As I was testing the system I noticed that two other issues that I paid to be fixed, were not, so I called him today, explained what was going on, and he told me he would be there at 11. I moved plans around to accommodate this time and he didn't even show up. Avoid this company!! read more

If we could give higher than 5 stars, we would! We cannot say about about Estiban, Becca & the entire team! We loved having everyone from their team here working & they were always so polite. We made sure to always have a filled ice chest for the men working & they never left any of the trash behind. Their work was excellent & they were extremely kind. Our backyard was all dirt because of it being a new build & now it looks better than the builders model home backyard!
