I am incredibly disappointed with the service from Espresso Dolce after investing $15,000 in one of their automated coffee machines. After just 10 months, this machine has broken down over and over, and the owner has done nothing to resolve the issues.Despite only being used for one summer at our resort, the main pump is now broken and is not operable. We have followed all service instruction's and have been diligent following the cleaning processes. Communication with the company has been horrible, and I would not recommend anyone to deal with these people. To make matters worse, the parts all come from Italy, resulting in months-long delays for repairs. Overall, a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience. Avoid at all costs. read more

Background: I live in GTA and this is a review based on my experience of buying a coffee machine from Vancouver and having it delivered to my home. Doesn't reflect in-store experience. Actual experience is between 3-4 stars and I round up this time. Good thing about this store is they have really nice and patient customer service people and offered good discount for the coffee machine I looked for. Negative experience was that my story started with getting a machine being completely unusable (my unfortunate mostly), the somewhat twisted process of getting it fixed, and...the delivery time being a bit long (again, myself to blame, because I was ordering from GTA!). I wanted to upgrade my home coffee machine and happened to see the model I wanted to have being available on this store with a good discount, so I placed an order. The store called me after I placed my order to confirm the credit card information just to be extra cautious. It took a week for the machine to arrive - but with a broken water tank that the machine failed to identify its installation. That means the machine arrived completely unusable, unfortunately. I contacted the manufacturer first, hoping to get them sending a replacement part since I should have the warranty. However, Espresso Dolce might have been using a different name for their store in the record at the manufacturer's so the manufacturer ended up thinking I was buying from a non-authorized dealer, hence refused to honor the warranty. So I turned back to the store hoping for a fix or a refund. Ended up the store contacted the manufacturer and I got my replacement tank later on. It now works perfectly. The person I talked to handled the situation with good patience. Machine being broken was an unfortunate, not sure if that happened when the machine was in the store or during the shipping process, hard to tell. But I was feeling relieved that they were able to help me contact the manufacturer and got it resolved at the end. Nothing I could serious complain about. read more

My date lives off an Americano daily and wanted to make his own at home on a regular basis. He did his research beforehand and went straight to what he wanted in the store. The store was quiet, okay clean and there was one man sitting behind the counter. He went over to help us shortly afterwards and asked if we had any questions. Unfortunately, there is no demonstration on the coffee machine or much explanation. My date knew what he wanted, but I did not know much to start with. It was literally asking if there was any stock available and the man going to the back of the store to bring out the box - fastest sale ever. Meanwhile, another man came into the store and started making his own coffee beverage. Maybe for spending $1000 in five minutes, we could have been offered a demonstration or a coffee? Anyways, my date is very happy with his entry level espresso machine and have been using it every day. The lattes tastes much better than any pod machine out there once you get the hang of operating the machine. Also, it is more economical in the long run than paying $3-5 for an Americano or latte at a coffee shop everyday. It is worth the investment if you can commit to making your own caffeine fix everyday. read more

We purchased a brand new machine (Aquila 0985 w/ PID) that, unfortunately, had some faulty parts causing the just the grouphead to not operate at all upon first use. The service technicians were very prompt with their response, and their customer service was top notch. I talked with a service technician named Ali; A significant portion of time was dedicated to assisting me through the issue, and all the while he spoke with such kindness and extraordinary patience (even when he had to repeat himself on multiple occasions). I'm very happy our cafe decided to choose Espresso Dolce as a place to purchase a machine, and look forward to continuing to do business with them. Went to Espresso Dolce to enquire about fixing a very old espresso machine. The store is a quite store just on boundary and 1st Avenue. It's very clean and staff are very friendly. One gentlemen took a look at the machine and determined that a new part would be required. He was honest and told us the part would be costly. He would have sold us a used part but unfortunately he didn't have one. They have many espresso machines for sale from small home machines to higher end ones used for business. The also sell coffee beans. Good experience would recommend this place if you're looking for an espresso machine. read more

My 8 year old espresso machine needed some repairs and I found that Espresso Dolce could do the service necessary. I found Amin very knowledgeable and helpful. I explained what I discovered on my own analysis of the machine and also that I didn't want to replace a plastic piece that had broken off some time ago that was purely decorative. I found their pricing up front and was never pressured into buying more than was needed for the initial repair. When I picked up the machine a few days later, there was a young man there who retrieved my fixed machine for me. I saw that it had been worked on from the fingerprints on the stainless steel and oily grease marks left behind as well as coffee grinds from what I can assume was them testing the machine after repairs. I mentioned the dirty condition to the young man who asked if the dirt and grease had been there before. I replied no. He simply said "oh" and that was the end of the conversation. I stared at him for a moment and paid my bill (which was reasonable to me) and went on my way. I would use this company again if I needed to repair my machine but I would make sure Amin was there as the customer service I received from the young man was sub par and disappointing. read more

Came in today to buy a Rancilio Silvia for sure and possibly a Sette 270 grinder. The door automatically swings open when you approach which is a nice welcoming touch however the man sitting behind the counter just looked at me as I walked in. No hello, no smile just stared. I walked over to the Silva on display and played with it for a bit waiting for the guy to help me. Even know I got a rude welcoming I had made up my mind to buy the machine so I shrugged it off. Well playing with the machine and waiting didn't work so I thought I'd check out the grinder I was interested in. After looking at it and then looking over to buddy indicating I'd like some help he just ignored me more. There wasn't another customer in the store at the time but I guess he sized me up as someone who wouldn't drop 1000 for a espresso machine or couldn't afford it. Too bad for this place. I most likely would've bought the 700.00 grinder as well. Off to espressotec ! read more

This place is right across Bridge Studios on the Boundary side. I decided to come here while in the area to get an idea of what they have for the guy I am dating. I did find their selection slim, however, upon discussion via e-mail with the guy I am dating he to felt there selection for what it is was lacking. I initially thought that, however, he is the espresso guru therefore I am glad that we felt the same way. I just didn't want to tell him right away how I felt in the moment. I had visited Espresso Dolce about a year ago to look at moving from a Super Automatic machine to a semi automatic Italian made unit. Obviously a big investment when you want a quality unit that will last 20 years. I spoke with Harry the technician who is very knowledgable. I didn't purchase then as I wasn't sure if I was ready to invest. I saw him 8 months later at the home show at his booth, he remembered me but again was not pushy, but informative. This past week I went back to the store and made the purchase of a Italian made Quick Mill machine. I asked if I could pick the unit up later in the week, so Amin and Harry set the unit up for me before I arrived and showed me how to use the new grinder, how to maintain the machine etc.. they spent over an hour with me. They gave me free coffee bans, an extra hopper, tamer pad, dump bucket etc. all at their cost and this was 3 days after they already had my money. Very thoughtful guys, informative and professional. So happy I bought from a reputable local company and not online. I feel really comfortable if I ever have an issue they will be there for me! read more
