When I asked him what I owed him for his time - because we spent over 2 hours back and forth on text with him reviewing videos, and making suggestions to try with my washing machine - he indicated that he was happy just to help out. Wow! There are not many businesses in this city who are simply ok to "help out" without compensation of some sort! The appliance suffered severe, irreparable structural and electrical damage. Allstate sent a technician from Kirpal Calgary to assess the damage. This technician conducted a completely negligent review. Despite visible charring, compromised internal components, and exposed electrical wiring sticking out of the unit, the technician claimed the appliance "looks good." It was abundantly clear that his only priority was collecting his service call fee, showing an absolute disregard for safety, liability, and professional ethics. I have provided numerous photographic records and video evidence clearly demonstrating that this appliance is a total loss and a severe fire hazard. It is deeply concerning that Allstate is choosing to accept the word of a negligent third-party contractor over indisputable photographic proof.

I have arranged for Shane to come and help fix my Fisher & Paykel fridge based on the reviews here…read more I have informed him of the F2 error which I've informed him as defrost error. Customer support: Shane was very accommodating in terms of scheduling/ changing appointment. He also called back really promptly. Services: Shane was unable to resolve the problem for me. He pulled the fridge out and looked at the back where the compressor was, checked the resistance, and said I needed a new fridge. He also said it could be computer board error and would be very pricey and may cost as much as a new fridge. I wasn't convinced as my fridge is relatively new (5 years) and on the market now is still around $3000. I sought a 2nd opinion with another company (that was recommended by a hardware store that said that other company services Fisher & Paykel appliances). The other repair company came and fixed it within 30 minutes (they knew exactly what was wrong based on the error code; it was simply the defrosting element that malfunctioned.. hence defrost error, my fridge has no more error since the element was replaced). Cost: He offered one of the most competitive call-out rate. He charged me for the call out rate and didn't charge me for labour since he couldn't resolve my issue. Overall, I appreciated the customer service and the courtesy of not having charged labour. But I did have to call for another company and according to them was a simple fix hence the lower rating.
