There were six of us and we sat at the bar facing one TV she set up for us to watch the race on. There was one other group on the other side of the bar, about eight of them, I think. Everyone was eating and drinking and I, being the DD, was only allowed to have one drink per hour BOO. But, I made the most of it. Karen REALLY knows how to make an old fashioned and when I asked her to make one with her best Mezcal, she did and it was FABULOUS. My bestie, wanted a Mezcal cocktail, too and Karen made her one with apple and jalapeno that she loved. The boys drank giant beers. We also tried out some nachos, wings and my dad got a baked potato. The beef was cooked spot-on with the accompanying ingredients bringing it together into a perfect whole. We got fries and onion rings; both were way above average and with a knock-your-socks-off horseradish sauce to dunk them in, I couldn't have been happier. But what truly sets Betty's apart is they sincerely care about their food and their customers. Let me repeat that--THEY CARE! Many restaurants have lost that but not here.
