Grilled pork chop on a bed rice

First off, i wouldn't even write this review if i didn't enjoy it so much, This place is a gem! It was just an accident to dine in here cause we were planning to eat somewhere else. It's kind of in a hidden small plaza right next to all the party bars around it. The decor almost had a living room touch to it which makes it feel comfy. We definitely enjoyed all the food we ordered from the appetizers all the way to dessert. I loved the jalapeños cheese cream so much that i got 5 more orders to take home with me. The service was excellent! The menu offered is written in english and Spanish which is great for tourists. The entire staff was all greeting us and warming and speaks fluent english which is nice to hear when you're in a foreign country. We also met the owner Susanna herself and we can tell that she takes great pride in her menu and the ingredients she uses and rightfully so. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone. I hope you find a way to put s sign somewhere around the area so that people looking for some great food would locate you.

Down a small alley way you'll find this little gem. I ate the spicy shrimp and it was VERY garlicky, but excellent. The wedge salad with blue cheese was enough for 2. Great blue cheese. Very quiet atmosphere and the service was excellent. The wine was not so great but I haven't cared for many Mexico wines, yet. Try then out

I consider this place one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and have come back here time after time again during vacations or visits to Rosarito Mexico. It's location is tucked off the main road in a peaceful, quiet alley lit by hanging warm lights. Everything on the menu is made from scratch with no premixed ingredients, and serving sizes are plentiful. They are known for their out-of-this-world tapenade spread, served with perfectly toasted bread to every table. All items on the menu can be modified which is rare south of the border, and the servers speak great English. The staff is always friendly, our server Julio was the best and even brought over a mini heater to keep the area warm for us!

If you need a place to take your date- This is it! This place is off the main street in Rosarito, tucked in the back behind a taco shop that looks like its also pretty good. Anyways, it is a little confusing walking towards it because the way they have the setup it includes what looks like several other places and a beautifully arranged stone garden. We were here at night so we didn't mingle much outside but it has a romantic vibe. There is a great selection of wines and some bar options too. They do have a children's menu but is only a few items in it. My daughter had the Penne pasta with cheddar and she loved it. I had the balsamic chicken and I loved it, I was so full I couldn't finish it all. Left some of the veggies on the side . The service was fast, the food was warm and the music was good. I totally recommend this place!

absolutely loved this place. I was booked for a trip with a group in Rosarito and was looking for a nice spot to book a dinner reservation for my girlfriends birthday. Susanne immediately reached out via email and helped me plan a fantastic night filled with nice music, great service, and they even made a beautiful cake for my lady too. I wish susanne the best of luck and hope everyone takes a visit!

Not a very good picture but these are the Philo wrapped pesto cream cheese and jalapeño appetizer.

The appetizer in the photo could be a meal for two! The portions are generous but not overwhelming. Apologies for not taking more pictures but we had a great time and will definitely be returning. Susanna's is inside a little courtyard they have indoor and outdoor dining. By far the best margaritas I've ever had anywhere the mix is homemade and very fresh! Tina had her Negroni and she loved it. The size of the drinks are just right not too big not too small. We also shared the poblano pasta dish which was absolutely out of this world! Then we had an ice cream sundae and port wine to top it off! Julio was great on the phone and got our drinks to us quickly! I don't remember the other servers name but she was awesome too! Highly recommend.

Filet didn't even taste real. The service was great and the ambiance was a little awkward.

Their tamales are to die for, and their fresh bread with jalapeño, lime and chive spread is out of this world.

El Nido was another restaurant we had high on our list after seeing so many great recommendations…read moreon YouTube, and it exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how beautiful the restaurant was. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with incredible décor featuring vintage radios, antique kitchen tools, and so many unique pieces that we found ourselves admiring every corner while waiting for our meal. The restaurant was spotless, the lighting created the perfect ambiance, and the entire place had so much character. Our server was absolutely amazing. He was a friendly young man who made us feel so welcome and kept chatting with us throughout our visit. Even with my broken Spanish, he made me feel completely comfortable, which I truly appreciated. Our food took a little longer than expected, but he let us know ahead of time, and honestly, we didn't mind one bit because we were enjoying the beautiful surroundings. One of my favorite parts of the experience was watching a woman handcraft the tortillas. Seeing them made fresh right in front of us was such a special touch, and they were absolutely delicious! The food was outstanding from start to finish, and the service made the experience even better. If you're visiting Rosarito, I highly recommend adding El Nido to your list. It's more than just a meal--it's an experience. We will definitely be back!

We saw a video on social media raving about this place but we were very disappointed. First of all…read moreparking is horrible, we had to park a few blocks away because the place they have to park was closed. There is nothing special about this place. We ordered simple plates, chilaquiles, a panela sandwich and a machaca burrito and had to wait 45 minutes to get the food. Chilaquiles were so soggy and the machaca in the burrito was dry. And before getting our food they gave us two bowls of chips and flour tortillas very salty by the way, we will definitely not be coming here again. The quality of the food is not worth the weight. The place and the music are nice but there are other nice places with better food that you will really enjoy.
