It was something different and somewhat fun, but it's overpriced $25 per person it a bit high in my opinion.

So much fun! My first escape room, and Dana our guide was awesome! We did it with four people and thought it wouldn't be enough but it was actually a great amount. Time flew because we were trying to figure it out in time. Great activity! read more

I received an EscapeWorks Groupon for my birthday and wasn't super excited to use it. My family pushed me to reserve a time, so we finally went yesterday to the Egyptian Tomb. IT WAS SO FUN! We were in there with another couple and fortunately were all able to work together. We ended up running out of time with only one clue to go, so we did pretty well! We would totally go back. read more

This was our third escape room at this location. We did Outbreak and it was a great one! Chloe was awesome!!!

Our party of five did the Egyptian Tomb room and managed to beat the room record by three minutes, with the help of our awesome guide Jen. As an escape room enthusiast I felt the room was very well done, the theme was great and well executed. This would be a great room for escape room newbies but if you are more experienced try one of their more challenging rooms. read more

For the record, I'm not giving this place 3 stars simply because we did not escape (although I am disappointed about that...). I honestly really enjoyed our escape room at the time, but I think there is room for improvement in retrospect. This is the third escape room I have done in my lifetime, and compared to the other escape rooms I've been in, the EscapeWorks' rooms are tinyyy for 8 people and their puzzles are on the less creative side. We did the casino room. The clues were scattered throughout the room in blatantly obvious locked boxes, so the process was pretty formulaic (ie. use clues to open box to find key to open another box, etc), albeit challenging. The puzzles were also linear in nature, which made it difficult for all team members to feel useful--some team members would be standing anxiously to the side while others were solving the next puzzle. Overall, I feel that the Groupon justified paying EscapeWorks a visit, but I don't see myself returning here to pay regular price. read more

We had a fun time in The Big Game! 5 more minutes and I'm sure we would have had it. Go with people who have fun and look everywhere for clues! A little stressful but still a good time. read more

It was a great adventure and our whole group just loved it. We played the Big Game and although we did won we had a great time. Staff was very nice as well. Would go back and try the Egyptian Tomb. read more

It was our first time doing an escape room and we got matched up with another group who was great. Very challenging and very fun! We will be back! read more

Very well themed. A couple of good red herrings... overall an enjoyable time. I've been to this, puzzah, the clue room, and denver Escape room. All of these are great, and I haven't had a duplicate puzzle yet... read more

We had a GREAT time. We were told the Casino Heist was the most difficult room so escaping it was the best feeling. It was a fun and creative way to spend some time. I'd like to go back and do a different room sometime in the near future. read more

This is the second escape room I've done and it was definitely a disappointment. A group of 8 of us did the Casino Heist room. The room was pretty small and not a lot of room for 8 people to roam around and all contribute. There were basically only 2 or 3 of us working on a clue at any given time. Overall, the clues and puzzles we had to solve were not very creative, and they felt very random. When one puzzle was solved, it was a bit ambiguous as to what we needed to do next. I wasn't expecting any of this to be easy, but most of the time we didn't know if we were on the right track. Without giving away any secrets, we were working on a puzzle that had already been solved earlier when a clue had been given to us by the staff. We didn't realize that we were wasting our time on one area because there were actually two ways of getting the answer. There was no flow to the puzzles; it was basically a big jumbled mess of clues that eventually got you to the end (we did not make it out in time), but by the time we were done we looked back and thought it seemed very sporadic and disorganized. The room escape experience was fun, but next time we're gonna try a different place. read more

This was so much fun! We were soooooo close to escaping and the time was up but whether you escape or not, definitely an hour well spent! I went with my boyfriend and 6 friends and I'd highly recommend doing it with 8 total people that you know if possible because we all had something to contribute and I think it helped that we knew each other so we could talk to each other as such! Something important to keep in mind - if your room is booked for 8:30, your timer starts at 8:30 sharp whether you're late or not so don't be late so you can get all your time! read more

My best friend and I went to EscapeWorks Denver a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING!! We got a groupon and signed up for a room but the room we really wanted requiered 3 persons minimum. However, we were able to get in anyway. It was better than expected by far! We did the Prohibition Room and just when we thought it wouldn't be too hard, it took some serious brainstorming and teamwork. There were a lot puzzzles too-about 15 or so and we went all the way to the last second! Great theme, great people, great time. Will definitely recommend and go again!! Thank you Escape Room Denver!! read more

This was absolutely amazing!!! My adrenaline is still going!! Will be back again to dominate the others! Got our butts whooped at the virus outbreak! Had the best time! Game master Cindy was awesome! Gahhh I wanted to turn around and do another one!! Will be back!! read more

Dana did a great job helping us through the Casino! I have done a couple of escape rooms before and this did not disappoint

We had a great time with our group of 8 in The Heist game. Everyone had a good time and the game was challenging.

My daughter and son-in-law and I visited EscapeWorks today for the first time (the Egyptian Room) and had such a great time. We hit the ground running, worked feverishly to locate and decipher clues, but as our time dwindled below 10 minutes, we went into hypermode, and began to feel the pressure of the hour expiring. The end result, however, was we solved it! We felt victorious! The great thing is that some of it is intuitive, some of it is observational, and gratefully, the gamemaster knew precisely the time we were in earnest need of a clue . . . really fun. We enjoyed it ENORMOUSLY!! Remember to work as a team, be receptive to other team members' input, don't get hung up on one thing, or become frustrated, or angry. Keep moving, keep examining, keep trying. It's okay to be competitive, but it's a game: have fun!! read more

Sooooo much fun!!! I can not wait for the new rooms to arrive!!! And the front desk lady was awesome!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!

My friends and I went to EscapeWorks and after finishing our first room, we loved the kindness of the two awesome employees, Dana and Chloe, that we ended up doing another room right away! Awesome puzzles, and challenging riddles in the rooms! Definitely would recommend to friends! read more

Best escape rooms ever! My boyfriend and I tried the Egyptian themed room. It was so much fun, we came back two days later to do the "Flower Room." The puzzles are challenging and very creative. Will be going back. Also, shout out to Chloe who helped with our rooms both times. She is very helpful and sweet. :) read more

This was very fun. I didn't really know what to expect. There were 6 people in the room to solve the escape. Some things we did well on and some it was a "duh" moment. The hour goes by fast because you're constantly trying to figure out how to find a clue or figure out what to do with a clue. You also find out some of your own strengths and those of your friends. Well worth the time and money. read more

Our dental team loved the Outbreak room! Very challenging and rewarding. We are looking forward to trying the Egyptian room next. Highly recommend! read more

Had a work team building event at EscapeWorks in the Flower Shop room. Awesome and friendly staff.. room was super cool and we managed to escape! This was the 4th room I've done at EscapeWorks and they never disappoint! read more

What a great, fast, fun, bonding experience. EscapeWorks (we did the Prohibition Room) far exceeded our experience.

That was awesome. Parents in from out of town, perfect thing to do on a cold night. We were only four in a room that usually has twelve solving it, and it was super fun to run around and work together. Super fun had by all, thanks. read more

Escape works is a relatively inexpensive way to enjoy part of your evening with family or friends. I recommend it for birthday parties and date night as well. If you go as a couple , it is a way to work together with complete strangers and walk out the Escape room friends. read more

Great experience for our group! We were visiting on a work trip and had 2 experienced members in our group with it being the first time for he rest of us. All of us were more than satisfied and look forward to coming back. We did the Outbreak room and escaped with 3 minutes and 18 seconds left. Staff was great and we will definitely come back again. read more

Fantastic escape room. War Games was very challenging, but they gave us help when we needed it. Great staff. Great design. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Denver. (We were a 6 person bachelor party and chose this as one of our activities) read more

We had an overall good experience. We rented two rooms for our business group of 16. The place could use a little TLC. Its just a bit run down and grungy. But the concept is solid. read more

We took a crew of 4 and met up with 4 more in the Egyptian Tomb. Made it out with 6 minutes to spare. Had a really good time. Thought the room was exactly challenging enough for us. read more

Loved it! I brought a bunch of tweens for a birthday party and we had a few extra adults thrown in from a separate party. I think we all bonded and I love those people now. The staff was helpful and didn't make us feel dumb. So. Much. Fun. read more

This was a decent set up. Nothing too good or too bad. Just run of the mill. The rooms and clues were mediocre. Staff was friendly but did not really do anything to add to the experience. Again, not bad. But with the plethora of other options in town, you can definitely get more for your money and time. read more

My wife and I did Outbreak. Having done around 20 rooms before, we usually seek out the more challenging ones. Unfortunately, this room wasn't challenging because of cool, tough, innovative puzzles. It was challenging because it was poorly designed. Without trying to give away too much, the biggest problem was the vast number of red herrings. These are definitely a part of many challenging games, but usually in the end there's some logic behind why some things mattered and some things didn't, but that just wasn't the case here. There were several clues/puzzles that, when solved, the results meant nothing. (We were told that one of these was a puzzle that was removed because it was determined it worsened the experience... but then for some reason they left it in anyways as a fruitless waste of time instead of part of the plot.) There were also several locks and massive amounts of text that served zero purpose other than to distract. If you're going to provide a sea of data, there needs to be some thread or logic behind why some things end up mattering and others don't. One puzzle in particular had no rhyme or reason and I strongly doubt that without the hint we were provided with that anyone could justify the correct approach. There were also a couple times where we were spinning our wheels for a really long time, and there was no particular way to request a hint. This place used a monitor to occasionally feed hints, but they didn't have any kind of signal to indicate when that happened, so unless you were constantly looking at the monitor hoping for a hint, you might miss it. Finally, despite feeling very far behind because of all the unsolved puzzles, locks, etc. it turned out we were fairly close to finishing (since most of those were red herrings). In past experience, when that happens and there's no group after you, they'll give you a couple extra minutes to work, perhaps some very direct hints, etc., but they just cut us off. (That's not to say the woman working there wasn't friendly; she did at least explain to us what we were missing, what did and didn't matter, etc. afterwards, and if not for her we'd be more likely to leave one star.) Finally, while having a few more people might've helped on this one, it is unimaginable to me that 12 people, could enjoy this room at once. While you could physically fit that many people (and make a lot of money), it seems that a more realistic cap is around four to six adults. Eight tops if they were novices, etc. read more

A fun time. We did the Casino room. Three of us and four strangers. Felt they had done the game before. They found many clues right off the bat while we struggled to keep up. The other negative was the room was way too small for 7 people. I felt a little claustrophobic and it felt like everybody was always running into someone else all the time. Concept is great and we did have some fun. It would have been better had we not been with someone who had already done the game before and who was more inclusive. read more

We had a wonderful time! Our group ranged from ages 7 to 65, and we all had fun working together to escape the room. We didn't quite make it out in time, but we had a great time trying! We highly recommend this experience! read more

So much fun! I've tried out a few other escape rooms, and EscapeWorks did not disappoint. 6 of us tried out Flower Shop. While a few more minds might have helped us escape faster (we missed it by a couple minutes--sad face), it may have felt a little chaotic with 12 people. All in all, out experience at EscapeWorks was a positive one--would recommend, and will be coming back. read more

I organized a work Team Building event at an escape room venue in downtown Denver for 40 people and we ALL had a blast. "Escape Works Denver" is a great venue. www.escapeworksdenver.com I highly recommend if you want to have fun with a group of friends, family or colleagues! The puzzles are challenging and the themes are great. My team had the Egyptian Tomb and we had to find out what happened to the missing Indiana Jones. Find a Groupon or call them up for a quote on your next team building event. Very reasonable and absolutely everyone we took had fun. 5 stars! read more

We did the Casino Heist and were very disappointed. The room didn't have much to it - and the props that were available didn't provide any clues to solving the puzzle. All of the chips, cards, numbers, etc. did not help solve getting into the suitcase or any other areas. It was just a bunch of keys and combinations - no creativity in building the room whatsoever! The fact that we were supposed to ADD up dollar amounts on the drink menu to figure out the codes to get into the case was ridiculous!!! And then to have to know how to play Keno to figure out the combination was completely ludicrous and unfair. There were 8 smart people in the room and the fact that everything was based on a number combination that was so obscure and difficult to figure out left us all feeling completely frustrated and defeated. I did this in NYC and the room was rich with props, including items on the floor, walls, bookcases, etc. One clue easily led to the next and the next, etc. It was still very difficult but at least we felt like we were on the right path the whole time. This room felt like a cheap setup and no creativity in how the normal brain would try to solve puzzles. Super disappointing. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. read more

I was disappointed in the overall design and process behind this clue room concept. The welcome room is clean and pleasantly decorated but the clue room (the football theme in particular) was lame. An old beat up desk, and a few framed photos in the wall greet us. It was so poorly put together that I never got over how much they were charging. As we solved the clues- which were challenging, but really only were number games to enter into a series of padlocks, we went into the next room which had a pseudo locker room and a couple of jerseys as their decorations. The puzzles became increasingly challenging, which was good....but honestly I started watching the clock when we still had 20 minutes left. I was with a group of great girlfriends who made the whole experience fun, but otherwise I would have walked out halfway through. It just wasn't my cup of tea- I couldn't get into the story line. read more
