We went here with our company for a company team builder of about 60 people. I had ordered a ton of food for the event. When I got there, there was three young dudes hanging out at the front desk, I took about 6 trips to get all of the food in and not one of them offered to help. They were all kinda awkward and seemed inconvenienced when we needed something. There was one point where people were standing and they didn't bother to take initiative to arrange the bench tables in a way that would allow everyone a seat. I didn't mind doing it, but you can tell they aren't expected to provide customer service. Archery was cool. read more

Such a fun experience! Ian was our host and did a fantastic job explaining the rules and making sure we were comfortable before starting. He made the whole experience memorable, and we would definitely book again. We have to try the Nerf Wars next time! SO fun - we had no idea what to expect or who else would be there but it was a blast. Super friendly competition and the teams got mixed up. My husband and I went on our own and there was another couple, a group of friends and a dad/son which all worked great. The person running the program mixed the teams up a few times and we played 4-5 versions with different rules and it was great to mix it up. I will say one person def got hit and pretended not to ( a lot lol), probably always one in the mix - all in all a great time and will be back! read more

Archery Games in Denver is such a fun planned night out with good friends. It's pure good time vibes all the way through. I recommend going with a bigger group to really enjoy the Archery Dodgeball & other planned games by the employees. The space is clean, all the head gear was clean-not smelly, a huge plus. The employees are very helpful willing to help if you are having trouble catching on. Honestly it's a bit of a workout, I felt sore for days after our visit.If you are in the area looking for a fun night out, go get your Archery on! read more

I was skeptical if this would be worth it. When we arrived, a bunch of tweens were playing archery dodgeball. But boy was I wrong to think anything negatively. It was the most unique experience of my life. We had about 14 people on our team. We were mixed with another group, which made it so much more fun because then you are up against your friends. You're playing multiple games with different rules. It took about half an hour to get used to the "archery" part of the game for me. But by the end, I got the hang of it. And a cool workout. 60 minutes of running around was intense. Our lead made it super fun and was very clear with all of the instructions. Just keep an open mind and you'll have the most fun. read more

A fun and unique activity for the entire family! The staff is amazing. They keep it organized and fun for you! They start out showing how to use the equipment and shoot the bow. Then throughout the games, they provide instructions and keep new game formats rolling throughout. They have several game formats but the goal is the same. Shoot the opponent with a soft foam archery arrow. You also wear a mask the entire time. Can't recommend this place enough! Super fun for all ages. read more

Ummm so this place is epic. Came here as a last minute invite with a cool group of cats and had an absolute blast. Whoever thought of this game... You are a genius. The gamemaster was friendly and dealt with our plethora of inquiries with grace. Games were easy to understand and execute and this was honestly the highlight of my week. Bravo!! The best fun!! No experience necessary. All equipment included. Guided games. Best with big groups (max 20 people). The group and I went through a series of different games. Everything was guided by the referee. An hour was great but next time I would do 2 hours because time goes by in a flash! Can't wait to go again! Thank you archery games for a fun time! read more

Fun times with great other customers. Slightly disinterested staff looking like they came off of a bender and are there to do a boring job, which archery dodgeball is not IMO It's less like paintball and more like dodgeball with arrows. Tons of fun, highly recommend, and I will be back! read more

Went hear a while ago for a fun activity with people visiting from our of town and it was a fun activity to do in the morning before afternoon plans. Was a great workout and the people were friendly. The bows were easy to use and I didn't get too many welts on my arm compared to sticky archery places like I've experienced even with the arm guard. We were a group of 4 and had a few other people playing during our time and it was fun to have more people there. If you spend too much time behind the walls they do take them away lol. The head guards are good but do feel bulky and it still hurts to get hit in the head with those things on. Nice activity for a big group of people and definitely a work out for sure. read more

Great place for party. Make sure to dress for a workout as you'll get sweaty The bows and arrows are of good enough quality and have a satisfying smack when it hits someone. Doesn't hurt though if you get hit They organize different game types like a free for all or zombie style Provide masks and arm protection though I wonder how well they get cleaned. I sweat a lot into mine. Hope they cleaned it well Next door there is a distillery to try when you get thirsty read more

My group and I had so much fun here and I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place when we were in Denver for the weekend. Definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip and we didn't even know we would be doing it until like 2 hours beforehand. Jesse made the experience feel easy and exciting (even though half of us had no idea what we were doing), and the other groups that were there made it even more of a day to remember. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for unique things to do in the area! read more

My family (myself, my spouse, and my 13yo son) made reservations for a Wednesday night at 6pm and we ended up getting paired with a group of 7 other people who were work colleagues. It was so much fun!! There was quick instruction at the beginning, so even people who have never shot a bow before will know what to do. Then for an hour you play multiple five minute games, all with different rules and themes. Overall it was a ton of fun and I would definitely recommend it for any group of people looking to have some casual fun, similar to paintball but without the pain or the mess. Definitely five stars. read more

This is an awesome place to go with groups. It's 20 people per event but you don't have to have 20 people if you don't want a private event. They teach you how to do everything, have creative games to play and it's very safe. They also have an area where you can bring in food and drinks if you are having a party. I did it as a corporate team bonding event and we still talk about how much fun it was. read more

Went with my 13yo for Father's Day and we had a blast. When we walked through the main door, we thought the arena looked small. The games were well facilitated and turns out we had plenty of room. This place is awesome! I've already been here a few times and will definitely be back. For my first visit, I had a group of about 50 people with 2-hours of private play. There was a big age range but everyone had fun. The foam tipped arrows were soft enough so that it's not painful when you get hit. There are also several different game modes so you and your friends will always be entertained. Jesse has been nothing short of accommodating and has made sure our groups had great experiences. On-site parking makes this place easy to visit. There's also a brewery (with the occasional food truck) nearby in case you need to wait. read more

Experience Archery Dodgeball at our indoor arena located just off I-70. Two teams battle it out with bows and foam tipped arrows. The game-play is similar to dodgeball and the ultimate objective of the game is to tag all of the opposing players with arrows in order to eliminate them from the game. Anyone with a video-game loving kid knows how tricky that can be. I am very happy that we discovered an opportunity to do something much more than just shoot arrows together. Golden Archery embeds archery into a larger framework of martial arts, drawing on both eastern and western traditions, creating something entirely unique. It's not just archery lessons, it's an entire learning process dedicated to giving you the tools for continued development and growth over a lifetime. The program Mr. Johnson has developed (and continues to refine with his impressive instructors and input from a variety of other martial artists) is a carefully thought out system of training, conditioning, and discipline with martial archery at its core. That discipline is an element that appealed to me strongly, both as a parent and an aspiring archer. You're not just plunking arrows into a target, you learn to focus your mind and body on a purpose, to hone yourself to that purpose over time, and see the results of your effort at the far end of the range. These are lessons applicable to a lot more than archery. I count myself lucky that we found Golden Archery, and I'm grateful we have the chance to work with the community of instructors and students there.

I probably could have gone and asked if we could turn on the fan on the closed half of the range but the employees were extremely busy with their customers on getting their compound bow ready for hunting season. I'd probably come back again when the weather cools down if I want to practice on a Sunday... overall a great spot but trying to stay cooler and not overheat during the Summer.

It is an open outdoor range with a multitude of targets to shoot at. You do need a colorado wildlife pass to come and park. There is a reservoir you can walk around nearby and not sure what else is in the area. They do typically run loveland girl scout day camp here. My daughter has only done that once so I am not super familiar with the area. It is really nice to have this outdoor sport super available and local to our area and community.

The archery range has a good mix of about 10 yd all the way out to 90 plus yards. On weekends it can get a little crowded and during the summer I can get pretty hot out there. So you definitely want to bring some water and hat. Archery bales are usually in pretty good condition, but some of them can get shot through so it doesn't hurt to bring your own target if you're worried about shooting through the target and destroying your arrows.

BOOKING AND RESERVATION PROCESS: 2 stars My brother booked and placed a substantial deposit over 2 years ago on a large reunion cabin and the adjacent large cabin. As the event neared, we met virtually with camp hosts who informed us that they can't guarantee we get the cabins we reserved. They'll "try," they said, but can't guarantee we'll get those adjacent cabins. Our only theory is the Y reserves the right to bump outsiders should an esteemed member want what we reserved. It all started off on a wrong foot, and combined with the impossible act of reserving additional cabins or rooms on April 1, when reservations open to the general public, it started to feel risky and like we made a bad choice. To me, it seems a reasonable add-on to the reunion booking process to allow us to book additional cabins in advance so we can find rooms for all family. Within minutes at 8:00 am on April 1, small cabins and most lodge rooms were snagged up. They also said we couldn't access the cabins until after 6 pm on arrival day. That meant we had to figure out a way to keep all of our food we purchased chilled until we could put it in our cabin's refrigerator. As it turned out, we did get the cabins we reserved/requested AND they were ready far earlier than our 5 pm arrival time. Total experience? Nerve-wracking. CABINS/ACCOMMODATIONS - 2 stars I get it - lots of large groups use this place. All the more reason to maintain them in a manner that is safe & comfortable for all. We had two sofas, one of which was unusable and a number of small issues that were eventually addressed. THE GOOD/POSITIVE: So much for youngsters to do, but be prepared to spend a lot of time driving kids back and forth to each activity. My "sense" was kids got to try a few new things, like horseback riding and archery, for an add-on fee. Good hiking trails. Downtown Estes (and an additional amusement park), are a short drive away in downtown Estes. Snack shop and little store on campus. All in all, maybe it's my age getting the best of me but I didn't find the accommodations very comfortable- just the 2 aforementioned couches, 1 of which was broken. All other chairs are wooden. So there's a point, as an adult, when the beauty of the mountains starts to wear thin when you're not as comfortable as you'd like to be. Bottom line? Go into it prepared. Try out a smaller cabin before opting to book for a huge reunion to make sure it will fit your family's needs. The YMCA backs up to Rocky Mountain National Park and the entire place is easy to navigate. If you want something out of the ordinary but in-line with history, check out the Lula W Dorsey museum which is also on campus and see all the history the Y has had to offer over the last 100+ years! This is a great place to unwind and really connect with nature. If you have ever heard of shrinyoku (forest bathing), this is a place to do it. Wildlife will hang around here at all times of the morning and later in the evening too. Most of all experience it all and make memories!

We booked it for a corporate event on a Friday afternoon and every step of the way was easy. Event setup: Everyone I talked with over email was responsive to every question I had, down to minutiae like if there were tables that we could borrow for catering. We went back and forth between headcount, and they were very understanding and accommodating. Pam in particular was a pleasure here. Day-of: Nancy and Brian were some of the sweetest, funnest, calmest, and most welcoming mentors we could have. While folks were filing in and getting food, they stood up and gave us game rules and safety tips. Once we were on the ice, they did a great job of showing us how the game is played, letting us practice the perfect amount before getting some games started. Both of them were helpful and able to answer every question thrown at them. There were also 3-4 other people there helping and working with our group that everyone enjoyed, I just didn't get a lot of time with. Location: The DCC is immaculate. The ice itself looks like something out of the Olympics. Perfectly maintained. The equipment is in great condition as well. Off the ice, there is a full bar (manned by another happy and helpful volunteer--do you see a theme here?) with great selection of bottles and taps. The lounge area overlooking the ice is complete with TV monitors hooked up to cameras directly on the scoring zones, so even if you aren't on the ice, you can feel a part of the action. I would do this every Friday if I could. The Denver Curling Center is an outstanding place for a corporate event. Talk about team-building. Spend a few hours with 3 or 4 of your coworkers pushing rocks and brooms and you'll feel like a team! The people really make the experience--can't speak highly enough of them.
