    Make your own terrarium!

This place is AWESOME! I've done paint & sips before, but Inks & Drinks is so unique and really takes crafting to the next level. The space is gorgeous and filled with many of the owner's own creations. There are so many fun, unique projects to choose from whether you want to unwind by yourself or bring in a whole squad. My friend and I came for a girls night and decided to make terrariums. Such a fun experience! They have a ton of different glassware to choose from as low as $10 all the way up to some seriously ornate pieces in the hundreds. Once you select your glassware you choose a few plants you like and they will help you select those that pair well together and educate you on the care of / maintenance of them. I opted for a $20 glass and 2 $5 plants. You stand at the potting table and they have a variety of free fillers (dirt, rocks, bark, moss, little toys, you name it). It took us a little over an hour from beginning to end because the selection took some time with how much variety they have. They offer a selection of wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails to sip along as you create. Some of the other projects were painting on canvas, boards, even animal skulls, macrame, string art, and much more. I believe reservations are required. Their latest is about 3 hours before closing because some of the projects like the painting and string art take up that time. Carly assisted us and she was great! I can't recommend them enough. What I love most (aside from it being such an inclusive, creative way to spend a few hours) is that you can really spend as little $ or as much as you like. You're not bound to just one project and it's more of an a la carte experience. Great atmosphere, vibes, people, drinks, and ways to unleash your creative side. 10/10 experience!

This is such an amazing place and yet another small business owned and operated by an absolutely amazing person. I am a not at all artistic perfectionist which is important to note because a place like this should be my worst nightmare given I have absolutely no talent as an artist. What I love about this place is well a lot of things but especially the fact that a non artistic perfectionist like myself can still have fun here. First, you can pick whatever art piece you want to do. Everyone is NOT doing the exact same thing, which I love and sets this place apart from other craft and drink places. Second, you are given the space and encouragement to work at your pace. While you paint, you are given small assignments and direction to add to your piece as you go and as you finish each step, you are given more individual attention. This place has more crafty fun than just painting so if you are intimidated by the idea of painting with acrylic, you can create a cute terrarium or some lovely macrame. Both times I have been here, everyone in our party did a different thing and we all had a blast. Look, my final piece is obviously not done by a professional, but my 7 year old daughter was amazed that I did it and asked to hang it in her room which just warms my heart lol. I have been here twice with friends and would come again. It's such a fun night out with added bonus of supporting amazing local business owners.

My daughter took me to this place for a Mother's Day date. It was amazing! We had a fabulous time and left with a beautiful terrarium. We can't wait to go back. You have to check this place out!

This place is absolutely perfect for a date night! Painting with your sweetheart is a perfect way to spend the night. Although you are generally in a class of about 30 people, the atmosphere is still quite intimate. And sharing a bottle of wine is a great way to loosen up. My boyfriend and I went to Inks and Drinks recently and we had a great time. Although neither of us are great artists, the instructions and techniques used weren't very complicated. Our instructor was super easy to follow. Along the way, our instructor gave us nice, little tips to improve our paintings. I'm super please with my painting and I will definitely be gifting it to my mom as a Christmas present. When you come here, you might want to consider painting on the wooden canvas. On my first time painting on a wooden canvas, I was pretty nervous. Everything about the canvas is non-uniform and it is rough. But, the end product that you create is super gorgeous. Although you might sign up for a class that instructs on how to paint a specific painting, don't feel limited to painting the theme for that night. That canvas is open to your interpretation. If you want to paint a kitty while everyone paints the mountains, go for it! This space is open for your enjoyment and creativity.

Lovely little painting and crafts studio! I made a neat terrarium here and I'm still in love with it. Can't wait to come back and paint some things too! The owner is very very nice. Highly recommended :)

Great teachers and a beautiful environment to get the creative juices flowing! I attended on a benefit night for the Birds of Prey Foundation and we painted a great-horned owl. The instructor was laid back and supportive. Great music too!

What a fun thing to do!…read more Whether you have never used a hammer before, or never attached hanging hardware on a photo, you can still create something beautiful for your home! I visited the Board & Brush Westminster location with three girlfriends and it was so much fun - and making a wood sign was easy! The steps were simple - and the hosts helped us each step of the way. First, you choose a design (over 500 designs) online when you RSVP for your event date. When you get to the studio, your project is ready for you! We sanded, we pounded (distressing the wood), we stained, we sanded again, we painted, we sanded again, and we coated our final products. Then, we attached the hanging hardware. This is fun for people of all ages! Men, women, children - it's easy to do and you get to create a wonderful masterpiece for your home, office, porch, man cave, she-shed - wherever! One friend created an awesome shelve to hold some of her pet's supplies (leashes, etc.) and she customized it with her pets' names Another friend created a beautiful sign welcoming friends into her dining room. Another friend created a stunning piece welcoming friends to her home. I created a round "whiskey barrel" customized with my sweetheart's "road name" for his man cave. He loved it! The front parking lot is a little small so get there early! They suggest getting there 30mins before the class starts so you can check in, get a smock, pick your station, and order beverages! Everything was set up when we arrived so we picked a table that had four canvases cause there was only four of us haha The instructor was fun and energetic! She took us through the steps in stages! I didn't feel rushed! She also encouraged asking questions or coming up for a closer look at the canvas! Her counterpart was also roaming the room offer help and suggestions! Overall it was a great experience with two great instructors! The location was good too! I would go back if they had a painting I wanted to do :)

I loved that this was a small and family owned business. Additionally, the class was not super packed to where it was uncomfortable but also it wasn't super empty it was just comfortable. The pace was perfect, there were times I feel like I might've been getting a little bit behind, but she did make sure to take ample breaks, and if you had any questions she was open for feedback or answering those questions which was appreciated. I would definitely come back for another class. I loved the $5 art section and we picked up a couple canvases to take home with us. There were light snacks, beers, wines, seltzers, options for many. Definitely recommend for a solo date, date night, or girls night out!

Went Wednesday night with a friend to "paint your pet". You…read moreemail them a photo of your pet, they sketch it on canvas, and you paint it! It's one of the best classes I've seen out there since the painting is so personalized. It's also a bit more expensive than other classes because of the extra work that goes into it ($50). I think this class is better suited for people who have painted a couple times, or more. Next time I'll try a class where we're all painting the same thing, so it's harder for me to mess up. When all the pets look so different, it's hard for them to help you mix paint colors and walk you through every step. Some of the paintings were AMAZING and you could definitely tell these people had inherent artistic skills. People were looking at mine and smiling politely... haha. My painting is no masterpiece, but it sorta-kinda looks like Izzy. My fiance laughed at it when he saw it, but it was the first painting I've ever done! The instructor was helpful, and she went around to everyone giving them pointers and tips. The class included a drink, and they had little appetizers (mini meatballs, cheese, crackers, grapes, peanut M&M's!!!!!, hummus). It's a really cute space, and a fun thing to do with friends. Definitely recommend! P.S. There is a garage with free parking right behind the studio.

It was a very relaxing experience, totally open-minded, and a lot of fun! Highly recommended to anyone in the greater Denver area for a visit to try the "open studio". I was surprised that the cost was so low when let you take your canvas with you, which is moderately sized. This would be an absolute blast to come with a group of ~10 people. They have a "paint your date/mate" night - where you can do a portrait of the person you come with. Sounds like a blast - I fully hope to get back there. Beer/wine is available for purchase too, at less than restaurant prices. My only complaint, is that it's hard to find. If you enter from the main street, there's minimal street presence. There's a small sign out front, so don't look for a large window near their address. You need to follow down a hallway before you arrive at the studio. I think it's possible to get there faster from the back side of the studio? Anyway - give yourself time when trying to find the studio. I was surprised to see that other reviews posted were less positive. Reaction to other reviews: --"better suited for someone with painting experience": I've never painted before, and was entirely not intimidated by the environment. I felt no qualms trying funky patterns! --"cancelled birthday party": this definitely sounds like a nightmare. My experience was very unstructured (dropping in to an open studio), so this was not a problem. The staff was very friendly and provided help whenever needed.
