Overall: Fun and unique activity. Would not recommend for large groups of adults - see details below. Games chosen for three people: Alien and Ghostbusters. Personally enjoyed the Alien one more as I felt the Ghostbusters one was repetitive in some parts. Experience: Instructions are clear. Good pacing and very engaging. Space: Space is good for two. Was running into each other with three people. I feel like it would be too crowded with 4+ people on certain game activities. It kinda got stuffy in the room after 30 minutes, so it would be nice if there were bigger fans on the ceiling, ventilating the air more. Drinks: Pricey. Basic alcoholic and non alcoholic option. Nothing super exciting. There's a drink holder shelf in the game rooms. Extra note: Cancellation policy is very stringent. We added two friends to our reservation on the day of the reservation and a few hours later, they couldn't make it due to a sudden medical reason. Even though these changes all happened on the day of, they would not make any exception. Only offered the option of rescheduling them in the future by emailing the manager. Came here with a group of friends and we had a blast! We split up four to a room and did the box party. We could choose from different games the more we went through the program. The room walks you through all the steps and you put on your hat, which is what controls you through the game. We played for about an hour and it was plenty of time. One of our games required a bunch of squats so I was definitely sore the next day. There are drinks for sale however it's also in a plaza with a bunch of restaurants if you wanted to catch up after. What a fun experience. Immersive Gamebox is a unique experience like nothing else you will find near it. You are put in a room that has projections on all 4 walls and wear a motion tracking hat that makes the whole space your play area. Came here for a double date night. Parking is manageable- there's either street parking or a free parking garage close by. The employees were nice. You can add non alcoholic or alcoholic beverages to your session, which is cool! While there are usually promo codes floating around, this is definitely still a bit of an expensive outing. We did the 30 minutes floor is lava game, which was fun except that with 4 people playing, you're spending half the time waiting because the game is set up so that only 2 people are "doing" anything at any given time. Some activities are even 1 person at a time, so the time goes by really fast and it doesn't feel like you get that far (because it takes a little bit to get the hang of it). Given that everyone pays a set amount to play, but only gets half the time when there are more than 2 people, I would say not worth it for a double date. On the plus side, there are a lot of nice restaurants around to grab a bite from before or after. read more

It's not VR so it doesn't get you anywhere near dizzy. Reserving online was very easy and we got the game room almost right away when we got there. I took my teenaged boy and his buddies to play Squid Game. They had a BLAST! Cherry helped us out and was informative, professional, and solid. I hung out in the lobby (lots of seating there with tables) and could hear their laughter and yelling from down the hall. As a mom, that sound just doesn't get old even though our babies are getting older. The location is also great because there's a lot of street parking and a free parking garage. I have been to this location a couple times and always had a blast. I even recommended this place to others! That's why it was so heartbreaking to have such a HORRIBLE experience this last Valentine's Day. My partner and I booked a immersive experience for Valentine's Day something we did the year prior. So this was a new tradition we where trying to start. When we arrived at the location for our booking the employees said our name was not coming up. We showed our confirmation to the team members and they said "we have no idea and we do not have any bookings. You probably did this reservation when the times were filling up for Valentine's Day". I then responded how when we booked it was a week prior and there wasn't a single time option not available. So that wouldn't make sense. After about 30 minutes of standing there while they emailed their IT department they said nothing they can do and to contact the manager. We spoke to Cherry Elrick who we were told was the manager of the location and nothing was done to remedy the solution. Just responses that tried to imply we didn't have a confirmation email and finally no response. I hate to say I will not be back to this establishment nor will I recommend this place as anything positive. Thanks a lot for ruining our Valentine's Day. read more

First of its kind for sure. I liked that they had us sign waivers electronically and would forward the fun, boomerang GIF of our group, taken at the end, to our emails. I was impressed by the wall that's touchable. The graphics all looked very real and well designed. Lighting is sufficient and the colors excite players! I'm not too sure about the hats, not that I'm a germaphobe, but maybe because of my height or my head shape, the hat doesn't stay on very well. For half of the game I was just holding the hat in my hands. It's the sensor that matters, right? Or perhaps the technology is still so new, the sensors aren't the most sensitive or react without lags - I'm sure that'll improve down the road. I like the team work/collaboration theme. You really do have to work together to reach some goals. Have a private game room all to yourselves is great. And I'm not gonna lie, the projected wall images make it great backgrounds for silly selfies and boomerangs. Overall I had a great time. You really need to get used to it. With the said learning curve, one thing I didn't care about is the wordy instructions at the beginning of each game. Graphic is what they do, so they should really just shoot an instructional video instead of making players read the long texts that never stick anyway, and inevitably waste some time at the beginning. SO MUCH FUN! I've been twice so far, and even though I've played the Alien Aptitude Game both times (the two groups I went with wanted to do it, so it was cool), I've had a blast. One of the cool things about Electric Gamebox is that it really does appeal to just about anyone. I've gone with friends who love gaming, and friends who hate gaming, but all of them had a blast. It's super interactive, really immersive (since you are surrounded by the games on the walls), and so much fun. I'm excited to try out another game, but I really have loved playing Alien Aptitude. The concept is funny, the mini games are easy to learn and still challenging, and there's something you catch on to each time you play. Not to mention the 80's soundtrack is raaaaaaaad. Also, their staff, particularly Garrett (who has helped us both times), was so helpful and friendly. He made really good recommendations of what game to play, and then how to play the mini games (still can't help but crouch down in certain games haha). I'm so so so glad I signed up for this yelp event! Our group had a fantastic time playing and unbeknownst to us we had no idea we chose the hardest game. Whoops! But our group had so much fun and we cannot wait to come back. The staff was super helpful and did a great job explaining how the game worked, how to order drinks, and how to call for help if needed. The rooms are private, very colorful, and spacious enough that we weren't bumping in to each other. We had such a fun experience at Electric Gamebox last night! My crew had been to virtual reality venues before but wasn't sure what to expect from this more immersive experience. With VR, your arm and head movements become a part of the game, however, you mostly stay in one place in the room and you feel like you are completely transported. At Electric Gamebox, it's a completely different experience. Your entire body is part of the game. For some of the games, for example, your body becomes the cursor (think: pong) which you control by moving (sometimes running!) around the entire space. It's exercise! For other games, you touch the walls to select items. For the 3 of us in my crew it took some getting used to. For example, your instinct is to crouch or jump vs running forward/backward but (trust me, I tried) crouching doesn't do a damn thing. We chose the Alien Aptitude Test which I think is a great introductory game. Other options (like Psychedelic Mansion) look super fun but, as our amazing guide Garrett explained, you need to get the movement down before you try that one! The rooms you play in are somewhat small (about 12x12) and 3-4 people feels like the perfect number. While I think it would be fun with a group of 6, there are certain games where you would most definitely trip over and bump into each other...though, admittedly, that may be part of the fun. As of this writing (early June 2022), Electric Gamebox offers soft drinks for $2.75 each, which you can select while playing and they'll be delivered to your room. There are lockers in the main area for bags and jackets (which would be in the way in the game room!) but there is also a perfectly sized, protected shelf in the room for drinks and cell phones - because you're definitely going to want pics and videos! By late summer 2022, they should have their license to sell cocktails, which could make for an even more interesting experience. ;) While you can easily book your experience online, if it's your first time I would call to chat about which games are best for your group as some are definitely more advanced. This was a fun one-time experience. Two of us played for 90 minutes. It was a different experience than going to places like Dave & Busters. I liked having to move around to play. The interactive touch walls were cool. Takes some time to get used to which movements work best like head tilting and avoiding crouching. I don't know if I'd enjoy playing with 4 people because you do have to move through the room space during the game. One 30-minute game was a coin collection, similar to Pac-Man. This simple game was pretty fun. Graphics could have been more entertaining. The second 60-minute game was squid game themed. I felt the collection of squid games could have been more fun. We didn't enjoy all of them. Red light green light was one of our faves. I did not enjoy the memory game or the shape tracing game. I thought Graphics were pretty good. The Gifs they record of you at the end of each game are a nice memento. Notes: -Parking in the garage was free -Give yourself a couple extra minutes to sign the waiver before entering your game room -There is nowhere to really hang a coat or bag (stated in advance, but what are you supposed to do in winter?) An extra couple of hooks near the visors is all you need. -Refreshments are limited to bottled soda and water from what I remember. If you like group challenges...do it. If you like a challenge...do it. If you just like to laugh and have fun...do it! This last time we did the Squid Games version. Saw this place all over my Instagram and decided to check it out with my child who loves video games. Registering online was easy. The facility was easy to find and the staff were very personable. This was as nice family outing the combined teamwork, competition, movement, and VR. I do think that $35 per person is a little pricey but we had a great time! We visited on their opening day. Everyone was very friendly and helped explain the process as we had never done anything like this before. The experience consisted of 4 mini games. You wear visors rather than a headset over your eyes so it was very comfortable. We had a problem with a game at one point; and they were very quick about getting it fixed and back into the game. The mini games are fun, challenging, and you definitely do some moving so wear comfy clothing. We played with 2 players, which I think is the perfect amount for the space. There are lockers and hand sanitizer stations in the lobby. There's even a shelf in every room for drinks and bags. Laura the manager was so sweet and a pleasure to interact with. I have been getting ads for Immersive Gamebox for months, so when it came time to plan my husband's birthday, I knew it was the perfect place! We played Alien Aptitude Test and it was a great collaborative experience. He's a total gamer and I'm definitely not, but the game room was an awesome in-between and totally enjoyable for both of us. He was (of course) a bit better than me at the beginning, but the games were easy to adjust to and just challenging enough to make you sweat. The music was also really fun and I loved that we got to really enjoy a fully immersive experience, lights sounds, movement, and everything. We came here on a weekday afternoon, so there was no wait on getting our room set up or closed down, but I'm not sure what it's like when it's more full. This was a Yelp elite event but I believe it would've been close to $170 for five of us to go. It was an hour long and drinks are around $2.75 each and a few different options. They have lockers to put your belongings so you don't have to bring them in the room too. I always suggest your phone now because it's great to get pictures of your loved ones doing this. I think it's really good for all ages as well. We did the extra terrestrial alien test. Or something like that. Lol will do again. Perfect for birthday parties in team building. Such a fun activity for a night out with friends! We had an absolute blast! We had a full room of 6 for a night out and chose to play "psychedelic mansion." The guys checking us in warned us it was the hardest game and might be too tough, we stuck with it anyways and glad we did. Once you're checked in you head into the room and get a little intro. Everyone has a different color visor, and they determine your game participation for some games, some games were all players together. 3 walls of the room are covered in the game, and it's like you're in the game world. Psychedelic mansion was really cool, very psychedelic! You're in a house and the doors have mini games on them. There was a word game, puzzle, skill, and agility. The skill game was the toughest but still super fun. It takes a minute to get the hang of each mini game, but then they repeat and get tougher. The hour flew by, we were so into the game! At the end, your group takes a gif and they email it to you and display it in the lobby. We went to a bar nearby after and still kept talking about the games for awhile after. As a disclaimer, I did visit this location for free with a yelp elite promo. I believe it is $35 an hour per player normally. Seems expensive to me but honestly it was so fun. My group and I played Psychedelic Mansion and it was a fun thing to try out for sure, but I'm not really chomping at the bit to go again. The way you're interacting with the games felt comparable to the technology we have access to in our homes with VR and even a console like Nintendo Switch except that you have the additional tactile element of touching the wall occasionally. Maybe this isn't a fair comparison, but I prefer the gameplay of an escape room which is more immersive and way more hands-on. That said, it was a good time for our group of adults and probably a great activity to try with kids. Staff was friendly and helpful and gave us a pro-tip, which I will pass on to you, to prop the door open if it gets warm, which it probably will. Rating 4 stars instead of my initial instinct to give 3 because there was nothing wrong with it per se, just didn't do it for me personally. What a fun and different adventure. My husband, son, his girlfriend and I decided to do this on our regular monthly scheduled game night. You will select your game when you register. Upon arrival, you will go to the IPad at front desk and sign in each player. There are lockers for coats, bags, etc. you enter a large room @ 12x-12. Once in the room, there is a tray for drinks and you can put your phone, keys, lipstick in and hang your bag on a visor hook if you do not use a locker. The rooms are big, but not big enough for you to bring everything and the kitchen sink. Once you get in the room and unload your belongings, the attendant will go thru the process (unless you are a regular). You put on a visor with the controller attached. This game works as if your body is the joystick/controller just by moving up and back. Sounds easy, but your instinct is to move your head and body. For a 60 minute session, you get 4 games and the goal is to get an A+. At the end, your gang will stand against back wall and do crazy actions for about 10 seconds which will be emailed to you This is good for all ages: * wear comfy and light clothes * wear comfy shoes * probably leave the lipstick at home * you can order soft drinks before or during your session (a nice cold beer would have been nice) * the visor and vigor will ruin your hairdo (sweaty) * the room holds 6, but I think that only works if you are tiny or you are with children. In my opinion, 4 people for 60 min was perfect and I would think 2 people for 30 minutes. * plenty options in the neighborhood for dinner before or after. * on street parking and a parking garage * Rose Medical up the street if you throw out your back The cost for an adult is @$35pp which is a little steep for me and may prevent me from going more than once or once in awhile. read more

Fun place to spend an hour with friends! Keep in mind that this is not VR, it's interactive. Forgive me for not being techy, but a projector lights up a room and you wear hat and that allows you to interact with the projection. It took a little to get used to the movement, but definitely not hard. There were four of us and I would say we're all relatively small people and it got pretty tight in the room during games. I think 3 might be the magic number. And be sure to wear comfy shoes, you're moving the entire time. We played the Alien game, which consists of 4 mini-games and it was pretty fun! 3 of the 4 games were fun, but the "memory" game could and should be replaced. Overall, it was pretty fun.
