My work team and I participated in an Escape Room at EscapeWorks as a team building activity. I'm not sure how great of a team building experience it was because we definitely argued the whole time about what the clues meant LOL The theming of the room we did was pretty good. It was the Egyptian Tomb room. Very moody feeling in there with dim lights to give you a little bit of a spooky vibe. There were a lot of fun aspects, like things popping out (we had a screamer in our group so that was hilarious), but we weren't smart enough to figure out the escape plan by the time our clock ran out. The attendant came in and told us how far we had gotten in the puzzle to make our escape and we were nowhere close! We either missed a few clues or this was a harder escape room than others I've done before. I feel like escape rooms overall are kind of going the way of the dodo, but this one was actually pretty fun and had good theming, so I do recommend checking it out for yourself. read more

We came as a group of 8 adults, some of us with solid escape room experience. Before booking, I called and spoke with their very friendly and helpful staff, who specifically recommended the casino room as their most challenging one. Naturally, we came in expecting a real challenge. In reality, we finished the room in under 35 minutes, and not because we're exceptionally brilliant. The experience felt surprisingly limited. There is essentially one main room, and while there is a second space, it doesn't contain any actual puzzles. Overall, there simply weren't enough puzzles to justify the "most challenging" label. The room feels like a first-generation escape room: lots of keys and locks, with a few nicer tech elements mixed in, but nothing particularly complex or layered. Most of us walked out surprised at how quickly it was over. What added to the confusion was receiving clues we didn't ask for, even though we were progressing just fine and ultimately escaped with about 25 minutes to spare. All in all, it was disappointing, especially given that this room was presented as their toughest, with a supposed 30% escape rate. read more

Dakota was great. The rooms were actually hard. I don't like super easy rooms. Also we finished with only 5 minutes left, this means that the game master did a good job limiting hints. We finished with two unsolicited hints. I hate it when game masters give us hints just to get us out faster so they can go back to Instagram or Tik Tok and sitting around. My friends and I decided to venture into the city to try this escape room. The entrance was a little hidden, but after being let in, we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. The staff was very friendly, and throughout our game, the game master was very on top of giving us clues when we had become stuck. That being said, he also didn't give us a clue without us first trying several ideas. There are 2 main reasons I'm rating this escape room at 3 stars. The first reason was the booking process. I have been to several escape rooms in and around Denver and in other cities like Las Vegas and DC; this was the first escape room where booking 4 people did not guarantee you'd have a private escape room. This means other people could book the same room and join us. The only way to guarantee the room would be ours was to pay for up to 5 people. So if you were a party of 2, you'd have to spend about $150 to reserve the room for you both. Otherwise, you have to just wait and hope no one else books the room. For this reason, we booked a 3 pm room hoping no one else would join us, and luckily, that thought was correct. I did not like how this business operates the reservation of escape rooms. The other reason I gave it 3 stars was the actual escape room. We completed the casino heist room, in which the themeing was ok, but many of the clues (I'm looking at you weird dog painting clue) were not straightforward, and the room overall was VERY linear. Also, unlike other rooms I've been to where you use a lot of physical clues and there are props all throughout the room for you to find, this room pretty much was solely visual clues or audio clues. Had this been my only issue, I would've given this review 4 stars. We had a decent time, but given our experience with the booking process and the somewhat lackluster escape room itself, I'm not sure if we will be back to try other rooms here. read more

We loved this place! It was so so much fun! My friends and I went on Sunday and Owen was our guide. He was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. We did the Speakeasy room and it was a lot of fun! It def got us thinking! Today, my husband and I went back since our flight back home was till later tonight. My family had a great time at EscapeWorks. We were nearly through when our time ran out but Gabby walked us through the rest of the clues and I really appreciated that. Gabby is very pleasant and enthusiastic. My only concern is that the escape room was very expensive - $152 for a family of 4 for one hour of entertainment. The enthusiasm, the attention to detail, the design of the room: EscapeWorks does everything I expect from an escape room and more. It was challenging but accessible, and I was with a bunch of high schoolers who swore they wouldn't get into it...12 minutes in they're giving me high fives. Such a fun experience, and because it was only an hour, it was an easy addition to our itinerary. I've taken two different groups to EscapeWorks and have had a wonderful time on both occasions! The rooms are well thought out and challenging enough to be engaging and fun the whole time. We had a great time at escape works today! Our family of 4 did the vampire room and it was quite challenging but we made it out with 5 minutes to spare! The puzzles were very well thought out and definitely kept us excited and intrigued throughout the entire game. Our game master Dakota was a great, he was very friendly and he gave us thorough instructions and a good intro to our themed room! My friends and I wanted to do an escape room and after finding out that the Casino Heist one had an 8-12% success rate, our interests were piqued. We ended up succeeding with 13 minutes left and having used 3 hints. It was definitely difficult but not as difficult as the success rate may portray so do not be intimidated! I gave 4 stars as opposed to 5 because compared to other escape rooms I've been to, the level of intricacies to the puzzles are a bit lacking. Still fun nonetheless. Tobi was very welcoming and gave useful, but not too useful, hints. I would recommend coming here if you're in the area and want to do a fun escape room for an hour! read more

This is a unique experience that is great for friends, or work/organization team buildings. Bridget and Zach were our hosts and they were great! They explained everything really well. We were able to buy some very reasonably priced beer and wine before going in for our 1 hour game. The games themselves were quite fun. It's nice that they have other game options so the experience can look different every time. The only downside is having to pay for all the spots in advance-- understandable, but also challenging if someone cancels last minute. It's about $40/person before gratuity.

We drew color chips out of a hat to determine which team we would be on: red or blue. We then were led to a room with two large tables color coordinated and lights simulating a game show. NOTE: They sold drinks at the front and required you to purchase your drinks ahead of time before entering the room. The room had a small fridge to keep them cool. We played survey battle, match up wars, cups (not like you've seen) and more. Our team had a blast, cause we won. The blue team had fun too but wants a rematch. I'm sure we'll back for some redemption rounds.

There is plenty of free street parking around the business. The escape room itself was decent and adequately rated at medium-level difficulty. The employee said that every year to 2 years they update the escape rooms but it still felt slightly outdated compared to other escape rooms I have been to. Josiah was awesome and very helpful from the moment we got there to when we left.

No extra rooms, just one 10x12 room with only 1/3 of it used. A ten-year-old and a twelve-year-old solved it in under 40min. This is fine as a $15/per person, quick something to do. It is not worth $39/per person with the required 18% gratuity. It is asinine that they would attempt to fit eight adults in each room. My family of five was squished and only two of us are over 5' tall. And the owner replying to every bad review with, "Well you should have fully read the Q&As" is like a used car salesman selling you a lemon and the blaming you for his dishonesty because you didn't read section 7, paragraph 5, line 4.

I've called the corporate office, no a response. I would not recommend any event involving this company. I'm out $250 and they haven't even tried to help me.

Beginning a city here proved to be a poor choice as the waterways were prone to periodic flooding. The City shifted to the northeast and this area was ignored and filled up with heavy industrial users. A huge flood in 1965 destroyed much of that infrastructure and provided an opportunity for redevelopment. The Greenway Foundation was a prime mover in the 1970s to create a park highlighting this area. A major update in the 1990s focused on floodplain management and further enhanced the park as a hub for the regional trail system. Today this is a highlight of Lower Downtown. Shoemaker Plaza begins at the REI building and extends down to the north edge of the South Platte River. The main park area begins at the south edge of the River and covers both sides of Cherry Creek. The trail system runs through this and continues north, south, and east. This is a beautiful space and exists in its own world, apart from the bustle of Lower Downtown. It is well worth a visit.

They offer lessons, leagues (top dog tennis is awesome) and have items for rent/purchase. I tried pickleball for the first time my last time there. It is addicting and I can see why it has become such a popular sport. Similar to tennis but very different it is accessible to people of all ages. Just be careful. They give you quiet paddles to keep the noise down for surrounding businesses and residents. They renovated the space a while back and it is clean and well laid out. Since they are in Cherry Creek the parking can be challenging even with a private lot.

There are other lots to park in if you drive around the lake. They have a nice path that goes all the way around the lake. We came here to fish. My son caught I nice size fish and released it back. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bathroom was far from where we were fishing at. So it was hard to leave kids alone to go to use restroom. We ended up packing everything up and going across street to Target to use restroom instead.
