Archery dodgeball area
Lindsey M.

I was skeptical if this would be worth it. When we arrived, a bunch of tweens were playing archery dodgeball. But boy was I wrong to think anything negatively. It was the most unique experience of my life. We had about 14 people on our team. We were mixed with another group, which made it so much more fun because then you are up against your friends. You're playing multiple games with different rules. It took about half an hour to get used to the "archery" part of the game for me. But by the end, I got the hang of it. And a cool workout. 60 minutes of running around was intense. Our lead made it super fun and was very clear with all of the instructions. Just keep an open mind and you'll have the most fun.

Great time team building.

Johnny was a a great host. Kept things fun and had everyone saying nothing but great things. We loved the time and venue.

The best fun!! No experience necessary. All equipment included. Guided games. Best with big groups (max 20 people). The group and I went through a series of different games. Everything was guided by the referee. An hour was great but next time I would do 2 hours because time goes by in a flash! Can't wait to go again! Thank you archery games for a fun time!

Came here for my bachelor party with a group of 6. We bought our tickets in advance. We played multiple games with strangers and it was super fun. Highly recommend this if you want to do something different and fun. Wear comfy clothes because you will sweat.

Had so much fun playing this unique game! Ian and Olivia were awesome and super helpful !!

Girl outing!

What a great experience!!! Went for a bachelorette party and we had so much fun. It can be as intense or not as your group wants it to be. Ian was our group leader/ref, and he caught our group's vibes and made sure everyone was having fun. 10/10 will come again if we visit Denver!

Great place for party. Make sure to dress for a workout as you'll get sweaty The bows and arrows are of good enough quality and have a satisfying smack when it hits someone. Doesn't hurt though if you get hit They organize different game types like a free for all or zombie style Provide masks and arm protection though I wonder how well they get cleaned. I sweat a lot into mine. Hope they cleaned it well Next door there is a distillery to try when you get thirsty

I'm lucky to have a few places near me to check out and ended up falling in love with RMS Gear. Where do I start? The friendly people offering great tips to ensure you're set up successfully. The pricing of the rental/space for practice. The amount of selection of equipment but most of all, how selfless all the staff are with sharing their knowledge. I've been coming here and have brought friends w us every weekend for the last 2 months. Just last week committed to purchase our own equipment. I think this rabbit hole for me will be deep, I foresee private lessons, limbs galore, and continue to practice to get better. Thank you to Tom, Dan, Kelly, Caleb and Felix for the last couple of months' support and sharing your knowledge. Did you know they house some of the best coaches in the world? Come check them out, maybe you'd fall in love too.

The $ I spent was absolutely real!! I contacted bowtech directly after my purchase and they confirmed that I should've one hundred percent got the military discount on their black gold sight. I also didn't get any boxes with instructions on one single item I purchased at this place. The lack of care and negligence was pitiful. DO BETTER!!!

Try repainting the restaurant and taking down the typed signs of you have to pay for extra chips and salsa. It's taped up in the walls. Very unprofessional

My son and I began taking martial archery lessons at Golden Archery because I was looking for…read moresomething for us to do together that we both enjoyed, was active, and didn't involve electronics. Anyone with a video-game loving kid knows how tricky that can be. I am very happy that we discovered an opportunity to do something much more than just shoot arrows together. Golden Archery embeds archery into a larger framework of martial arts, drawing on both eastern and western traditions, creating something entirely unique. It's not just archery lessons, it's an entire learning process dedicated to giving you the tools for continued development and growth over a lifetime. The program Mr. Johnson has developed (and continues to refine with his impressive instructors and input from a variety of other martial artists) is a carefully thought out system of training, conditioning, and discipline with martial archery at its core. That discipline is an element that appealed to me strongly, both as a parent and an aspiring archer. You're not just plunking arrows into a target, you learn to focus your mind and body on a purpose, to hone yourself to that purpose over time, and see the results of your effort at the far end of the range. These are lessons applicable to a lot more than archery. I count myself lucky that we found Golden Archery, and I'm grateful we have the chance to work with the community of instructors and students there.

The staff here is wonderful and there is even the Rustic Cafe inside the registration building to grab a quick bite all day. The YMCA backs up to Rocky Mountain National Park and the entire place is easy to navigate. If you want something out of the ordinary but in-line with history, check out the Lula W Dorsey museum which is also on campus and see all the history the Y has had to offer over the last 100+ years! This is a great place to unwind and really connect with nature. If you have ever heard of shrinyoku (forest bathing), this is a place to do it. Wildlife will hang around here at all times of the morning and later in the evening too. Most of all experience it all and make memories!

The space is huge and has an array of activities like crafts, swilling, mini golf, pickleball, horseback riding, basketball and, well, you get the picture, I could go on and on. My favorite though was the hiking trails which are very mild and good for people in pretty much all conditions and shapes. You can even walk right into RMNP from the trail which we haven't done since we had our pup with us but I want to explore this one day! Be sure to check out the Lula W. Dorsey Museum, it's a treat and so cool to learn about the history of the Estes Park Y! We have only stayed in the cabins and it's been such a treat to have multiple rooms and full kitchen along with outdoor space to dine, read or just zen out. My only complaint is the beds, they.....ahem.....suck. Bring your own mattress topper and pillows if you're local, it's so difficult to sleep on Dollar Tree quality mattresses and pillows. Really, that's my only complaint about this place. You can even welcome the day with viewing elk that are roaming around this place. It's just so peaceful and quiet. We've come here by ourselves and with friends so it's good for adults, kids, families or really anyone who wants to connect with nature!
