Amazing customer service. Everything under the sun for your archery needs. Easy access to business.

The staff are phenomenal!!!! Some of the rental arrows are janky but this is a good place to spend the afternoon. read more

This was my first time here and was also my very first time shooting a bow! For about $25, they set you up with all the equipment and give you a tutorial on how to shoot a bow! I have to admit that I was nervous coming in as an outsider and a newbie, not knowing anything, but everyone was so nice and helpful. The staff came up to me a couple times and gave me helpful pointers! I would 100% recommend this place to everyone if you're looking for something fun, a new hobby, or buying a bow! read more

Great shop. Did a lesson with Dave, super knowledgeable, and friendly. Taught the basics, for sure will go back to get more lessons. Got set up with a new Mathews bow, after the lesson. Way excited to start diving more into the sport. read more

My friend wanted to buy a bow and start learning this skill/hobby. He knew absolutely nothing about it but the staff was extremely patient and set him up with the perfect bow and accessories to begin the journey. As I looked around the place, the staff showed him various bows, sighting systems and supports. They even assembled it all for him after the purchase. They really seemed to care that his entrance into this sport was done right and allowed him to grow in experience without continually having to buy new stuff. Their indoor range is well controlled for safety and everything is clean and organized. I did feel just a tinge of "we were outsiders" and not part of the regular "clique" of people. I hope that is a misread on my part but we will know soon enough. All in all, it was a fun and positive experience and my friend and I look forward to this fun new experience. read more

Went to get my first bow and introduce some friends to archery. We didn't get his name but an older instructor helped me pick out a bow, taught me how to string it, gave recommendations for gear/arrows since I was out of town. Very helpful and knowledgeable, every time he recommended something, I shot a little better. Highly suggest doing a walk-in shooting session or a class, and letting them know you're intending to buy, having him watch me shoot and recommend bow and arrow length for my purchase was nice read more

It was so much fun! I went to a fundraiser for my friend and everyone there was so welcoming, especially Brandon who taught us the ins and outs of archery for us beginners. Thank you so much!!! read more

Bear Creek Archery is really awesome! I've taken the intro class and have come a few times since then to use the range. The staff is extremely knowledgable and are always willing to provide helpful advice. I learn more every time I go and really enjoy it! read more

NOT WELCOMING TO NEWCOMERS TO THE HOBBY! YOU'RE BETTER OFF BUYING A BOW AND ARROWS AND PRACTICING IN YOUR BACK YARD OR FIELD SOMEWHERE Upon entering with my son I was not even greeted but stared down by an old man behind the counter. (I think the same old man mentioned bellow) I proceeded to approach him and I muster up "hey I'm new to the hobby and am wondering how to find out if I like it or not." The old man yelled around the corner, "Brandon!! We got you another one." That was very unwelcoming and slightly embarrassing. This made me feel like a burden for walking in. Brandon was nice but really discouraged me from perusing a compound bow in the hobby. He said they only rent out recurve. Which was expected. I read that much online. But when I asked how someone explores compound bows to get into the hunting hobby he said, " ohh those compound bows to set you up in the hobby can run you $1000. Then you need the sight and draw back trigger (I don't remember the proper name) and those pieces can be up to $1000 each." I'm really wondering what I'm doing here right now. I asked, "so do people just buy an expensive compound bow and decide if they like it then?" Brandon said, "yea pretty much. Do you want to rent the lane?" I said "No I was really interested in learning more about compound shooting. I should just head out. I want to do more research. Are other archery shops around?" I asked. He said, "yes but this is the only shop that specializes in adjustments on compound bows." I sat down and watched some archers. After watching some of the other guys shoot, I walk up to a different employee, working on a bow, and I asked, "you must be the bow expert haha. if I wanted to get into the hobby of hunting what compound bow would you refer me to?" He said, "well that depends on your draw back and the price you're comfortable with. Do you know your draw back length?" I said, " No. I just told you I'm new to the hobby." He said, "I'm actually working on this bow now so once I'm finished I can help you." I said, "oh I'm not going to buy anything I was just hoping you could give me some type of information that I could take home to do some research. I hope you have a good day." I then just walked out. The whole staff had this pretentious demeanor. Maybe I came to the wrong shop and asked the wrong questions. I was just hoping they'd break the compound bows down into brands and prices and types of hunting. I can find this information online on my own. I thought I was coming to experts for advice and direction. I would return but I will not because I'm afraid they'll treat me even more poorly after seeing this. But it was a very unwelcoming visit. read more

yeah been reading all the comments and seems like a you got be a certain type to attend the greatness of bc. I too came here to find a nice indoor range for practice. I entered the store and just got glares and nothing but avoidance when I waited at the counter. Rude staff and I will never return. You're better off going somewhere else to purchase and learn the sport. Sad people still act this way towards newcomers to the sport. Times a changing people. read more

I had a great experience purchasing a new bow here. Dave was with me from the time I stepped in the shop until I walked out. Im completely satisfied with my purchase. He took his time and walked me through all my options, had me shoot multiple different bows and I never felt like he was up selling me on anything. This will be my pro shop from here on out. I strongly recommend this pro shop to anyone interested in archery. read more

What a great place! A friend of mine was visiting in town and had always wanted to try archery. I did an internet search and found this location. They offer beginners and advanced classes on Saturday. I was able to get him in for the beginners class that lasted 1 1/2 hours for $20. They provide the equipment and a great teacher. They have an assortment of bows and other equipment for sale. Small parking area and wish it had more of an area for people to sit down and watch. Staff was very friendly and professional. read more

Terrible experience because of that one old man behind the counter. I am new and I missed a target and this guy rudely told me that I'm destroying his wood and need to move the target closer. We were about to ask for a private lesson but after that comment we were no longer interested. That was a perfect opportunity for him to offer/sell us a lesson but instead he decided to talk down to his customers. Pretty pathetic. read more

Awesome shop with some really helpful people, perfect for beginners looking to get started

We decided to add archery to my birthday weekend extravaganza. This place was tiny and we weren't sure we were in the right place as their sign still reads as opening at 11am even though their class time has changed to 9:30 am. It was (obvi) and the manager was super nice and welcoming. I'm still surprised lessons are only 20.00 what a fantastic deal! Our instructor Jacob was really kind and patient (our class was composed of hyper little boys talking about video game HPs every 45 seconds). We enjoyed ourselves so much we're going again this weekend. I really can't recommend this place more. For that one, 1 star rating perhaps he was just having a bad day, everybody has them but honestly I cannot imagine anyone in that shop that we met being nasty. read more

What's not to like? Can rent equipment (bow, arrows and up to 18m range lane). I just walked in, though some nights they have organized events, league nights, ... I shot for a couple of hours. People we nice, and I had fun. read more

This place is 100% worth the drive from literally anywhere in Colorado. Took my bows to get tuned at Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear before. Needless to say, I will never go back to RMSG anymore. They do not do a bad job at all, so don't get me wrong. They just literally have zero knowledge of how to interact with a customer. You drop off your bow to a guy who makes you write down what you need, he takes your bow and one of your arrows and says "see you in two weeks". Then after that no one asks if you need help with anything else or interacts with you. Bear Creek Archery on the other hand? Amazing! Absolutely outstanding individuals! They greet you as soon as you walk through the door, one of their guys basically sticks by your side like glue just absolutely ready to answer all questions, get you what you need, and take care of you all the way out the door. The other day I stopped in for my first time on a recommendation. So I went in, was greeted amazingly, then the guy helped me out with all my questions, and I felt so damn good about the experience I bought a bunch of stuff for my bow that I really didn't need right now on my rig. But I bought it anyway! Just because I wanted to support the shop and show them they have a customer for life! I will never take any of my rigs anywhere else ever. Bear Creek Archery, you guys are so awesome! Thanks for everything! I'll see you soon for a restring and tune on my wife's rig and one of my other ones I'm restoring. read more

Came in here looking for a starter bow for the family, and they were super-helpful in getting me everything we needed. Let us try out a number of bow options + draw weights before landing the right setup. Had everything else we needed too: arrows, shooting gloves, the works. They clearly know their business, and I'll be back for any future archery needs. read more

I was in the area and had my bow with me that needed a new string. I called and they had what I needed. Thry fitted my bow with the proper string and set a nock point at no charge. Polite, professional and friendly is how I'd describe the service. This is the only time I've been here as they are way out of town for me but just from looking around I'd say they are a full range archery shop that caters to just about any type of archer. read more

Awesome shop, great prices, Dave is the best! Beginner class every Saturday at 1pm. My wife and I had a great time, went back the following week to buy a bow and get in some range time. They're very informative and have been extremely helpful on every visit. I had done a ton of research online and thought I knew exactly what I wanted until I was able to see the bow in person, hold it in my hand, test the draw and ask questions about it. You'd expect to pay more to get this level of attention but their prices were the same as I was expecting to spend online and even less on a few of the items I purchased. One of the few places that makes me want to shop there instead of just buying online. Will be back often, they've earned two new loyal customers and I'm all about supporting local family business when they step up give that kind of customer experience. read more

I came here for my first ever archery lesson and have to say that I was so happy with my experience that I'm definitely coming back to work on my skills again and again. The lesson for beginners is hosted every Saturday from 1 PM - 2:30 PM in a class size no larger than 8 people in total. When you first get there, you meet your instructor and get all your rental equipment. Then, you get "fitted" for your bow and the lesson begins once all attendees have gotten everything they need. This class is structured to get you through the basics, building on your knowledge after every round of shooting your arrows. I loved that we learned one thing then moved on to the next because it helped me focus my attention on each specific step. The lesson lasts for 1.5 hours and the instructors are very nice. I definitely recommend it for people of all ages trying to learn archery! If you would like to come in and practice for yourself with no lessons, you can pay $11 for one hour - including rental equipment. The only warning I have is that there is very little parking around the building. read more

Dave gave 2 of my grandsons a lesson today and they loved it! As they are new to archery, he started at the basics and walked them thru the shot sequence emphasizing form and safety. The 10 year old had some very good groupings by the end of the hour lesson, and the 7 year old had 2 bullseyes to narrowly win the scoring on the last target. I highly recommend Dave and the rest of the staff at BCA! read more

I just stopped by Bear Creek Archery after doing a lot of online research for a bow setup. Upon walking in I was met by Dave and another employee (Andrew, I believe). They were both exceptionally helpful with the purchase of my new bow setup and are holding all the other equipment (rest, case, peep, quiver etc.) for me until my bow arrives. The shop itself was busy with it being the first day of archery season but despite that, they took the time to answer my questions and get me the setup I wanted or would work best for me. I recommend stopping by and talking to the staff who seemed both personable and knowledgeable. read more

Awful experience. I was immediately reprimanded by one of the older employees right when I stepped up to the shooting range and checked to see that my bow was in working order. He then instructed that I put a trigger on the bowstring. As I was trying to put it on, he kept reaching for my wrist to "help" me without bothering to ask for my permission first. I was so upset that I ended up not shooting at all. Do not go here unless you want to be treated poorly. read more

After not shooting a bow for almost twenty years, I decided to pick the sport up again. The folks at Bear Creek have been very helpful to me in getting my bow set up properly. They really have gone out of the way to help out, and I enjoy shooting there too; the range is very reasonably priced to shoot on. read more

Terrible retail experience. I went in to Bear Creek after having experienced archery for almost 40 years. I was essentially ignored for the first 8 minutes I stood at at the counter, then almost as an afterthough a young lady, said, "Is there something I can help you with - I'm in the middle of something ." I told her I was interested in getting started in archery again and had a bunch of questions and could wait. She proceded to try to sign me up for a beginner class which sounded great - but there were no openings for several weeks, she then tried to sign me up for an "individual" lesson, but they had no times that would work with my schedule. Did she offer to go ahead and answer questions? No. Did she offer to have someone else answer questions? No. They probably lost out on the opportunity to sell me more than $800 worth of equipment this afternoon, and any future business I might have. I'll also be sure my friend who is also thinking about getting started in archery and any others know that Bear Creek is not the place to go to get advice or service. read more

I had a great experience here today. It was a Saturday and they were busy. But that didn't keep them from impressing me with great service. John was the one who worked with me. I brought in a used fully equipped bow I had bought this morning. I don't know a lot about bows so I stopped in on my way home to ask a few questions. Over an hour later, my bow is tuned up, I have a better peep sight on it, John fixed my arrow rest with a part he had in the back. He reset the draw length for me and set the draw weight to my preferred setting. While he was helping me, he was also helping others, doing a great job balancing everyone. I had a ton of questions and he happily answered them all. I don't have another archery shop to compare this experience to. But when I walked in, he knew I wasn't going to be a big sale for the shop, but he treated me with the same respect and attention as someone ready to drop $1,000 on a new bow. That means a lot. In fact, while I was there another customer thought so highly of the personalized attention that he received from another employee (I think Bob) that he thanked the guys profusely for the personalized attention in front of a large number of customers. You don't see that very often. I really am impressed with these guys. Good customer service may be dead everywhere else, but it's alive and well at Bear Creek Archery in Englewood. Thanks again John. See you on Monday when I come to your range to sight my new toy in. read more

Amazing place, our group of 10 guys came here for a bachelor party weekend and we couldn't be more pleased. Dave and Jacob gave a private lesson after the shop closed on Saturday. Most of us had never shot before but by the end, some of us were consistently hitting bullseye. Towards the end of the 90 minutes, Dave had some games for us that got really competitive quickly. Most of us left trying to figure out how we could continue archery in our home towns. Thanks Bear Creek! read more

The folks at Bear Creek are great to work with. They are eager to get new archers up and running. I've taken all of my grandchildren there and they really enjoyed it. I shoot there too, I'm not a bow hunter, I just enjoy flinging arrows down range. I also deal with them as a Representative of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and they support wildlife conservation with generous donations to our fundraising efforts here in Colorado. Once again, great bunch of folks to work with. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place and the people that work there. They helped me pick a bow, they spent time setting it up for me and every time I'm in they give me tips on shootings. I recently caught the archery bug and was looking for a place in the Denver area where I could practice and eventually buy a bow. I've been going to BCA for a few months now and I've had only great experiences there. I took the Saturday lesson where they teach the basics of archery. I've also been going back on my own to practice on one of their lanes. The staff is helpful and the prices are very reasonable. And when I finally decided to buy my first bow, Ed took the time to make sure my bow was customized to me. Overall, BCA is a great place to learn and practice archery and I would definitely recommend that you buy your bow here as opposed to a big box store. The customer service and expertise is far superior. read more
