Glock 45 MOS with a trijcon rmr freshly installed by Tycho
Kenny O.

A very comfortable local shop and shooting range. If you're new to guns and don't want to be treated like a jerk at the store this place is for you. These guys always make me feel at home. Clean facilities, safe range, good prices, solid firearm stock, fun range targets, and friendly+reliable service. Quickly becoming my go-to Denver shooting range and gun store. I am a noob and stripped the drive on a screw for my Glock 45 MOS plate while attempting to place an optic, and wasn't looking forward to the headache it would be to have it fixed. Brought it in to have them look at it and Tycho got it off in 2 seconds. Not only did Tycho mend my mistake on a Saturday, a day when a lot of their competitors don't even have a gunsmith present; he put the optic on for me. All while providing a ton of very useful information for the next time I remove and reinstall it. Service really doesn't get better than that, especially at gun stores. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are new to shooting like myself.

The facility is well maintained, convenient to get to, and not intimidating in any way. The staff is wonderful; knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive in all the right ways! Just an excellent experience all around. As a newer gun owner, I asked tons of questions, and the entire staff, took the time to talk, and explain things in an amazingly patient manner. Because of this, I joined as a member, and visit regularly (and have added to my weapon collection). I'll be taking some new dates there, as well as teaching my teenage daughters there to learn to shoot as well. Also, great rental options as well. A few personal experiences: Nick (gunsmith), answered so many initial questions, and helped me confirm/verify I had "zeroed" my new firearm (red dot) appropriately, He joined me at the lane, tested a few rounds, explained some great things about the weapon to me, made two slight adjustments, and had me check how it felt (Fing fantastic btw) and the confidence in the gun and sight i left with felt was amazing. Thank you Nick! Kenton, Dominick, Tyko, and Rose, make me feel truly welcome (even special) every time I come in or finish my lane time. They've all given me true support, and "honest" advice and knowledgeable opinions regarding various topics, weapons, and ammo, which has helped me add to my collection. Thanks to all! Special shout out to Kenton, who helped me with an unexpected issue (jamming slide on a brand new weapon). He explained why it likely happened (factory lubricant challenge), and even took the time to demonstrate and explain breaking it down, cleaning out the factory lube, and applying some new (definitely fixed the initial issue! :-) He also pointed out some of the nuances of that particular brand, and I left feeling more confident in my new gun and excited for the next chance to fire and learn about it more. Thank you Kenton! And now, I highly recommend you stop by and visit for your range time, weapon needs, and shooting questions.

That being said, there is nobody I'd rather spend 8 hours with than Noah Damm. He is funny, knowledgeable, and makes the class fly by. FYI: you do get a lunch break and the bbq spot he recommended was on point. I learned so much and I'm glad I took my class there. The range there is great and they have some really great deals that my normal range doesn't have. I will definitely return to this one. They have ladies night, kids night, and a great selection of guns. Plus if you want to try a different gun, they don't charge you again. I love that. Everyone that worked there was super nice and helpful too. I highly recommend this place for range practice and for getting your CCP or if you're interested in any classes. Big Joe (I think that was his name) also helped me on the range and both he and Noah were great instructors that don't make you feel nervous. I've only been to 3 ranges in Denver but this is by far my favorite.

He's extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a lot of real-world experience beyond just working at a range. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered questions thoroughly, and made sure everyone felt supported throughout the class. I was initially a little hesitant about taking a co-ed class since I had no prior firearms experience, but Luis immediately set a very welcoming, relaxed tone. He was calm, approachable, and easygoing, which made a big difference. I never felt intimidated or out of place, and he was very patient working with me as a complete beginner. By the end of the class, I felt comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to keep practicing and come back to the range. Beyond the instructor, the facility itself is great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the environment felt respectful, and even the other patrons were welcoming. I also really appreciate that Bristlecone offers a wide variety of courses for different skill levels, along with discounts when you take classes, and special offerings like free Tuesdays for women. Overall, this was a really positive introduction to shooting, and I'd absolutely take another class here especially with Luis. Highly recommend for anyone new and looking for a supportive, professional place to learn.

I am one of Jason's Students, I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW classes 5 years ago and to this…read moreday, he continues to train me with my firearms. I tend to be really good with my AR-15, but not so great with my G19. ( I personally am better with rifles) Jason has been very professional and patient with me through the years with our one on one at the range with my pistol training . when I started 5 years ago, I barely made the target, now I am in the body range and would have no problems , if I needed to defend myself. When I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW class, I felt comfortable in his class ( I am a female ) and all the information he provided me with. He is very thorough and makes sure you UNDERSTAND the LAWS and the FUNCTIONS OF YOUR FIREARM.. I took the same class three years prior with a gun club in Colorado Springs, spent four hours in that class, I was left confused and not sure if I wanted to carry a weapon. With Jason's 3 day, 10 hours a day class, I had the confidence I wanted and needed to carry my gun safely and I knew the Colorado Laws a lot better than before. I recommend all my friends to Jason for Firearms training, I recommend everyone to take his courses, I promise you, you wont be upset. Carrying a firearm in this day in age, is good. but you really need to be educated properly. If you're someone that was raised with Guns and your dad/grandpa /uncle or whomever taught you about Guns, great, but chances are they taught you some wrong information. Maybe you weren't raised with Guns and you want to learn more, awesome!! Jason will help you understand Guns in a way that is very comforting and he will even help you figure out what Gun would be best for you , he even goes to the gun shops with you. not many Instructors will do that . You really need to take a good course, anything less than 8 hours is a joke and if you pay anything less than $300 your setting yourself up for failure. In this case, you want to spend big, to get the best training ever, Firearms aren't something to take lightly and you shouldn't take the law lightly either. You can know all the ends and out of your weapon, but if you use it in self defense and don't know the law properly, you could get in deep doo doo. So, don't be an idiot with a firearm, instead be smart and take Jason's classes, get educated and keep going back for more training, you can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TRAINING in my opinion . Jason, has lots of training skills and he has even been an instructor out at Front Sight in NV, which if you don't know what that is, its a very large Firearms training school for all sorts of shooters. Movie stars, Military, LE, and normal people like you and me.

His 3-day course is packed full of information that honestly changed my life and way of thinking. The first day is Colorado's required course in order to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit in Colorado; NRA Basic Pistol, which covers the mechanics of a handgun. As you will find with this required course, it doesn't even address anything about concealed carry. Because of this shortfall in Colorado's requirements, Mac developed his successive 2 additional days of his course for concealed carry; the laws specifically for Colorado, the mindset, tactical application/instruction, handgun options for concealed carry, types of holsters or carry options, accessories, drawing (presentation from the holster) and so much more.

Prior to Saturday, June 17th, '23, I had been to Trigger Time once with a long-standing member of the club. Even though I have shot a great number of guns there - as well as out in the wilderness - I knew that I needed formal instruction. The father & son teaching the class together were superb (Perry & Troy Morris). Both certified by the NRA, I knew that these two men were the real deal. [They also struck me as really good humans.]    The lecture portion of the course was nicely jazzed up with humor and interaction, and the Powerpoint presentation itself wasn't a snoozer like so many Power Points wind up being. These astute learning leaders maintained our attention and alertness by providing frequent breaks and interesting facts throughout the day.   Regarding the hands-on portion of the class, Troy and Perry were marvelously encouraging and provided the perfect amount of assistance & intervention.  From loading and proper grip to stance & hitting the target, the father & son team made the experience downright enjoyable. Since taking the class, my intimidation and fear in handling guns has diminished greatly and my basic pistol skills seem more solidified. That being said, I am going to recommend the Pistol Basics class - and Trigger Time, the business itself, particularly to other women.
