I tend to be really good with my AR-15, but not so great with my G19. ( I personally am better with rifles) Jason has been very professional and patient with me through the years with our one on one at the range with my pistol training . when I started 5 years ago, I barely made the target, now I am in the body range and would have no problems , if I needed to defend myself. When I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW class, I felt comfortable in his class ( I am a female ) and all the information he provided me with. He is very thorough and makes sure you UNDERSTAND the LAWS and the FUNCTIONS OF YOUR FIREARM.. I took the same class three years prior with a gun club in Colorado Springs, spent four hours in that class, I was left confused and not sure if I wanted to carry a weapon. With Jason's 3 day, 10 hours a day class, I had the confidence I wanted and needed to carry my gun safely and I knew the Colorado Laws a lot better than before. I recommend all my friends to Jason for Firearms training, I recommend everyone to take his courses, I promise you, you wont be upset. Carrying a firearm in this day in age, is good. but you really need to be educated properly. If you're someone that was raised with Guns and your dad/grandpa /uncle or whomever taught you about Guns, great, but chances are they taught you some wrong information. Maybe you weren't raised with Guns and you want to learn more, awesome!! Jason will help you understand Guns in a way that is very comforting and he will even help you figure out what Gun would be best for you , he even goes to the gun shops with you. not many Instructors will do that . You really need to take a good course, anything less than 8 hours is a joke and if you pay anything less than $300 your setting yourself up for failure. In this case, you want to spend big, to get the best training ever, Firearms aren't something to take lightly and you shouldn't take the law lightly either. You can know all the ends and out of your weapon, but if you use it in self defense and don't know the law properly, you could get in deep doo doo. So, don't be an idiot with a firearm, instead be smart and take Jason's classes, get educated and keep going back for more training, you can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TRAINING in my opinion . Jason, has lots of training skills and he has even been an instructor out at Front Sight in NV, which if you don't know what that is, its a very large Firearms training school for all sorts of shooters. Movie stars, Military, LE, and normal people like you and me.

His 3-day course is packed full of information that honestly changed my life and way of thinking. The first day is Colorado's required course in order to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit in Colorado; NRA Basic Pistol, which covers the mechanics of a handgun. As you will find with this required course, it doesn't even address anything about concealed carry. Because of this shortfall in Colorado's requirements, Mac developed his successive 2 additional days of his course for concealed carry; the laws specifically for Colorado, the mindset, tactical application/instruction, handgun options for concealed carry, types of holsters or carry options, accessories, drawing (presentation from the holster) and so much more.

Gerry was a really nice guy and enjoyed talking, relating to us, and having a good laugh. It's an 8 hour course so it can be a bit tough I'm sure teaching people you've never met. Gerry broke down the law and safety basics in easy ways. The quiz was straightforward and the shooting time relaxed. No references to politics on either side of the aisle, so good place to just go shoot. Their rec room had a really nice, homely feel. Coffee, candy, snacks, and a variety of guns to try out. Ammo at reasonable prices. Thank you Gerry and the team for a great course!

I know they offer training as well but I have not tried that. The ammo is expensive so make sure to bring your own and not rely on needing to buy from them. The indoor range is LOUD so make sure to double up on the ear protection (in ear and over the ear). Luckily, I have not noticed it being too smoky or smelly in there so I think they have a really good HVAC system. The people are nice (not overly friendly, just nice) and you go there to pew pew. That is all you need to know.

The post was concerning someone open carrying a long rifle in the State of South Carolina, a state she (Karen) doesn't reside in, but felt the need to express her blunt opinion anyways. She commented on the post and said, "it was stupid, provocative and unnecessary." Just wondering how an individual exercising his right to openly carry a long gun, which is perfectly legal in South Carolina are the things you said? Are you saying exercising a right is "stupid, provocative and unnecessary"? It clearly states in the NRA ethics guide... RESPECTING OTHERS a. Trainers respect the rights of others to hold values, attitudes, and opinions that differ from their own But clearly, Karen was on another path that day. There were many comments and none of them showed respect towards one exercising their legal right to openly carry his long gun. The old saying, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all was thrown out the window when Karen showed up to the post. Will also be filing a formal complaint with the NRA on her rude attitude. Hopefully Karen can learn from this mistake and will help her become a better advocate for gun rights in the future.

Then the last part of the class was spent on the gun range, again...another great part of the day, remembering safey while loading the guns, shooting targets and having fun. We can't thank you enough Karen, your class was the bomb!!

My experience was beyond 5 stars because the knowledge, courtesy, and professionalism is stellar from all the members of this team. I can not say enough about the entire team to do them justice. I will say if you are looking to train for your conceal and carry, handling firearms, learn self defense, and/or just how to be a responsible law abiding gun owner, seek them out and get plugged in. You get so much education and knowledge for what you pay and it is worth every penny! Their knowledge alone is invaluable and I appreciate all they shared with us. Prior to Saturday, June 17th, '23, I had been to Trigger Time once with a long-standing member of the club. Even though I have shot a great number of guns there - as well as out in the wilderness - I knew that I needed formal instruction. The father & son teaching the class together were superb (Perry & Troy Morris). Both certified by the NRA, I knew that these two men were the real deal. [They also struck me as really good humans.]    The lecture portion of the course was nicely jazzed up with humor and interaction, and the Powerpoint presentation itself wasn't a snoozer like so many Power Points wind up being. These astute learning leaders maintained our attention and alertness by providing frequent breaks and interesting facts throughout the day.   Regarding the hands-on portion of the class, Troy and Perry were marvelously encouraging and provided the perfect amount of assistance & intervention.  From loading and proper grip to stance & hitting the target, the father & son team made the experience downright enjoyable. Since taking the class, my intimidation and fear in handling guns has diminished greatly and my basic pistol skills seem more solidified. That being said, I am going to recommend the Pistol Basics class - and Trigger Time, the business itself, particularly to other women.
